Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Historic District, Wilmington

The place is very clean and as described. Amenities are good and supplies are orderly. Communication was clear and timely. Location is walkable to many things downtown and a great sandwich shop around the corner. Overall a very good experience. Only nitpick is that the front bedroom is not very private as it opens directly onto the living room. It wasn’t a problem for our group but FYI.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Wilmington, NC! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true home away. Jeff was very responsive to any questions we had. It was also very nice to have some kitchen staples already on hand. The location was perfect—close to downtown, the beach, and some fantastic local restaurants and coffee shops. We loved starting our mornings on the cozy couch and winding down in the comfortable living area & taking advantage of the games on hand.. Our host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, offering great local recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear they take pride in creating a top-notch experience for their guests. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wilmington!

Seth’s place is outstanding! Fabulous location, space, and maintenance. Still has the the original charm of “home”, and every room is spacious and comfortable. Back balcony off the kitchen is really a deck… enjoyable space, too. Seth is gracious, helpful, responsive and known in the community. As lifetime travelers, we were really pleased, from arrival to departure, with Seth’s place! Thank you!

We loved our stay at Hydrangea House! It’s clean and homey, in a safe neighborhood with beautiful surroundings, and a short drive from lots of amazing restaurants and things to do. Rachel was a kind and responsive host who gave great recommendations. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

This air bnb was great for our stay. The house itself was awesome and the beds were really comfortable. The neighborhood was fine driving distance to all things, but did not feel the safest walking home at night. All in all it was a good place to stay and the house itself had everything you could need when staying away from home. Kyler was quick to respond when our lock code wasn't working, and we had the problem solved in less than 5 minutes, so that was much appreciated.

We loved our 3 night stay at this beautiful home in downtown Wilmington! The space was just as described: clean, spacious, comfortable, and peaceful. We had all the amenities we needed, and we walked into downtown and back easily. The neighborhood is full of historic homes and, although located close to the highway, very quiet in general. It was real warm and muggy during our stay so we did not get to take advantage of the side patio, but we were cool and comfy inside. We would recommend this home to friends and stay here again, for sure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bob's place! It was just as advertised, clean and welcoming. The balcony over the river is where we put in the most hours, just watching the changes in the river, the various boats, and people-watching on the river walk. Everything we did was within minutes of the condo...great restaurants and shopping. Bob provided plenty of info and recommendations for eating and sightseeing. We were there on Memorial Day and could easily see the USS North Carolina lit up in red, white and blue. Even though it was cloudy/rainy most of the time, the awning on the balcony kept us dry and comfortable. A couple of time we had questions for Bob and he was immediately responsive and helpful. It was just the relaxing getaway we were hoping for! We would recommend this spot anytime for 2 guests!

Jody’s place was full of historic charm—from the cozy leather couch to the exposed brick wall, every detail was perfectly decorated and inviting. The space was clean, private, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was unbeatable—just a short walk to the Riverwalk, restaurants, and all the fun Wilmington has to offer. Jody was incredibly responsive, replying to my questions within minutes. This was a fantastic stay and a great value for the money. Highly recommend!

We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our long weekend stay - the location was perfect, with restaurants, shopping and beach access within steps. Very convenient and felt safe to walk around with our son, both morning and at night. The dedicated parking spots, along with generous beach day and in-unit amenities were very much appreciated. The morning and evening views from the balcony were peaceful - by far one of our favorite long weekend memories as a family. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect beach trip location with responsive, welcoming hosts. We will be booking again!

Super awesome place! Location is the best part of this condo. Although it can get loud on the weekend nights, it is central to downtown and you can easily walk anywhere. This place is clean and cozy. We will be back!

This quaint downtown condo was in a perfect spot for our 3-day Wilmington visit. Generally, communication was good. We pretty much left the car parked and roamed the downtown/historic/waterfront areas. A parking pass was provided in the room. Keep in mind that if you arrive on a Saturday, as we did, you may have to really vie for a spot. Also, there is a steep double staircase to climb with your luggage. We were in Room 11 – there is a guest common area “The Atrium” right next to the bedroom so could be noisy. For light sleepers, note that the fridge hums/clicks a lot. Be sure to bring your own soap/gel for the shower. The place was as advertised on the website and the apartment was clean, however, the sofa and ottoman could use a closer steam cleaning. On the weekend, you may get party noise/music from nearby venues into the early hours. We enjoyed our stay.

We so enjoyed our stay! The property was just as pictured and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Morgan was responsive and proactive, as well!

The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The parking was very convenient. Everything for us was within walking distance so it was nice to just park the car and forget about it. Being right on the Riverwalk was great. If you want to see Wilmington NC I highly recommend this condo and host.

it was a lovely stay, but way you checked in at 3:00 p.m. and had to leave by 10:00 a.m. So I don't feel it was quite worth the amount of money that we paid, especially since we had to do some of the cleaning at the end. we're not really cleaning, but just you know start the laundry and what not. the location's great. I don't think there was enough mentioned on the steps on the ad about the steps that you have to to go up in order to get into the condo. it's quite a bit and if you've got suitcases or anything you can't roll them in so there's an enormous amount of steps and that was a concern or a slight problem. The place itself was cozy and comfortable and clean and lovely.

We had an amazing time staying here. The location was perfect for us and we had a great time being able to walk around downtown. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend this place and will certainly consider returning.
