The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Cabin by the River

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Please expect no internet, a TV for DVD/CDs only and limited cell reception. Truly unplug & relax.

Cozy Lakefront Cottage at Claytor Lake/ New River

Welcome to your home away from home. This cozy lake cottage is a small but spacious home right on the lake. Great place to gather with family, friends, or a couple’s relaxing getaway. Bring your fishing gear, lake floats, and kayaks to enjoy with your own private dock. Relax around the fire pit in the evenings watching the beautiful sunset over the water. Location: Minutes to I-81 Great for Virginia Tech or Radford University events and families. Minutes to New River Trail entry point.

Waterfront Retreat on New River/Claytor Lake

Waterfront retreat on the New River at the headwaters of Claytor Lake . Great for fishing, tubing, and boating. Directly across from Allisonia boat ramp and immediately adjacent to our other listing (Cozy Waterfront Cabin). Shared use of boat ramp located on the next lot. Large flat yard is perfect for outdoor activities beside the water. Nearby access to New River Trail. Well behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. You must keep dog leashed during visit. Property has WiFi.

The Boat House

The Boat House is a newly remodeled studio space. It’s a unique place to stay, located on a private dead end road right on the water with beautiful views it’s 5 minutes from I 81. Perfect for Virginia Tech home sporting events. It’s also perfect for Virginia Tech and Radford University Graduations, weekend or weekly family getaway. You will have access to the dock on the property for fishing and swimming, there is available space at the dock if you have your own watercraft.

Lake House at Hoover Mountain

Enjoy a cozy waterfront retreat with stunning lake views right outside the kitchen window. Featuring high-end finishes, a warm fireplace, and a screened-in porch, this home offers both relaxation and adventure. Direct access to the New River Trail (Hoover Mountain Bike Area) is perfect for biking and hiking. Whether you’re unwinding by the lake or exploring the outdoors, this home is the perfect spot for your next getaway! Maximum of 2 dogs( for a fee). No cats allowed.

Cabin on the Creek

This 1 room cabin with kitchenette (2 top burner, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker) with full bath is set on Toms Creek, fifteen minutes drive from Virginia Tech and the town of Blacksburg. The space itself is private, rustic and charming even though we live just next door. We thank you for no pets, vaping or smoking inside the cabin and we are happy to share that our onsite managers, Ray and Mara, will be handling all inquiries on our behalf.
