this was our second stay at hurst cottage and was just as good as the first!. lovely cottage with beautiful gardens, hot tub was lovely and everywhere was spotlessly clean. linnett was very responsive to any queries we had. would highly recommend.

We’ve just come back from a short stay at Jacks cottage, this was our first booking through Airb&b so we didn’t really know what to expect, we needn’t of worried as we thought Jacks cottage looked even better in the flesh than in the pictures so did it disappoint. The place was spotless when we arrived which is great as it put us all at ease, we felt at home straight away. Jacks cottage is situated in a small and very quiet village, honestly there is no noise. We live in a busy town with road noise so going to sleep at night with no sound but the birds singing was lovely. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day out walking and again was spotless. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore the Peak District with some amazing walks right on the doorstep, we particularly enjoyed Bakewell, The Chatsworth estate and finding the very local Robin Hoods cave ( what 3 words assets.joined.offer if you struggle to find it). This was our second stay at The Stable House. The cottage is beautiful, well presented, and spotless. We love the peaceful area, and the views are stunning. The hot tub is a brilliant place to relax on an evening. Sandra and Steve are excellent hosts. They sent detailed instructions on how to access the property, provided a beautiful welcome basket on arrival and gave a range of suggestions about the local area. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Devonshire Arms on our final evening. The cottage is well situated to visit a range of different places in the area or to pop into Nottingham itself. Would definitely stay again.

Caroline's place was lovely, a peaceful break in the countryside! A reasonable distance from some of the attractions of the Peak District, including the Tissington Trail and Thor's Cave. The village was quaint and we had a lovely meal in the local pub, The Sycamore (recommended by Caroline). The only downside was the typical British summer weather raining down on us - wish us better luck next time!

Wood Cottage is absolutely beautiful. The house is well equipped and perfectly maintained. The setting is extraordinary with beautiful gardens with plenty of privacy and peace. Thanks to Samantha and Andy’s instructions it’s also easy to find, whereas the post code is a little more difficult. Their communication was proactive and timely, but not at all intrusive. The sauna, plunge pool and hot tub are a real treat, although the hot tub is a little temperamental in that we struggled to get some of the jets to work. However, given that is the only room for improvement we could identify on the accommodation, it’s clear that a stay at Wood Cottage comes highly recommended and we hope to return!

Fantastic property for a chilling out experience. Beautiful scenery at the back of the house with great hot tub, bbq and fire pit. Gemma was very warm and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. We would recommend this property for a first rate stay.

Myself and three friend's stayed at Janes as we wanted to do a motorcycle tour of Derbyshire. The cottage is ideally located for that with off road parking . The cottage it self is lovely and homely. I especially liked the conservatory to sit and relax in. The cottage had everything we needed and jane even provided some basics to get us started on our arrival,milk,bread etc. Jane was friendly, easy to contact, about when you needed her but otherwise left us alone to enjoy our stay. 100% recommend Jane and her cottage.

First time I’ve used Airbnb and am I glad to stay we were fortunate enough to stay at Katie’s cottage! It was exactly as described, 100% accurate in terms of the pictures and the host (Katie) herself was a genuine, amazing soul! Not many things are perfect, however this was as close to perfect if it’s what you’re looking for! Loved it!

a great little cottage, minutes away from Alton Towers. if that's not for you, then Ramblers Retreat and a lovely walk around the surrounding country side is a 15 min walk away. beautifully kept cottage with everything you need (except a TV). wasn't an issue for us as we bought a spare one with us. Rebecca was great to deal with and a really helpful host. We will definately book again.

We've just returned from a very relaxing few days at the Hideaway. It's a lovely location with amazing views, sitting on the balcony of a morning just listeing to the birds, seeinf the frogs in the pond & a visit from the cat next door. Corrie was on hand if we had any questions and recommended some amazing walks and areas to visit. Our dog even had her own towel and bowls, all provided by Corrie.

Stayed at this wonderful cottage with my grandchildren. Five mins from Alton Towers and lovely walks nearby. It was like home from home and we will definitely book again!! amazing property definitely recommend

Just got back from a few days at The Gatehouse (or Fred's Shed). It was a wonderful place made so much more so by John and Pam. I arrived and was greeted by John who showed me round, imparted a huge amount of really helpful local knowledge and assured me that help was just a door knock away if needed. Pam had left a mountain of goodies to ensure I didn't go hungry, catering for my four legged friend as well. We were out walking the hills every day and this was a lovely bolthole to return to. being a stone cottage it remains cool even when temperatures outside rocket. John recommended a variety of local walks, pubs, and tea rooms. We tried the one in the village and had a wonderful meal. Sure The Gatehouse is not a mansion, but the use of space is mind-blowing, so there really is everything we needed. The setting is so peaceful and rural, walks straight from the doorstep, it's worth giving the car a break. John was so helpful, friendly and easy going. Would I return... absolutely!

Fabulous and exactly as shown and described! Views were amazing and a gorgeous small pub next door where the staff were super friendly and helpful. Fantastic walks! Especially the arduous Bank Road into town!! Good for ones heart and legs! Great area to be and our home for the weekend was amazing! Loved it and would stay there again

A fantastic, cosy cottage in very peaceful surroundings. John and Vicky have thought of everything you might need and all the fixtures, fittings and equipment were of good quality. The extra little touches such as home made bread were also much appreciated. We walked for miles from the front door, and the lanes were very quiet. There are also several footpaths heading in all directions across the local fields. The location is perfect if you want to get away from it all, but also close enough to drive to local villages with pubs and cafes etc. John and Vicky are perfect hosts - always available when needed but left us to ourselves. Highly recommended!

A wonderful little cottage in an idyllic location. Natalie went above and beyond to help us settle in and had been very considerate providing items that we might have forgotten or not be able to get with a late arrival. We were comfy and felt at home immediately upon arrival.

We had a wonderful stay at Rocking Stone Cottage near Bakewell. The location was ideal and just a short drive to places like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, and right on the doorstep of the Peak District countryside. The cottage itself was beautifully kept, warm and welcoming, with spacious rooms and generous en-suites. It felt like a real home away from home. Rachael and Gerry were fantastic hosts. Rachael sent through lots of helpful information ahead of our visit, and every one of her recommendations hit the mark. One of the best things about Rocking Stone Cottage was how quickly we could get out into nature. Within minutes of leaving the front door, we were walking through open fields with sheep and cows, and could stroll from one village to the next across the peaks. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the cottage and the hosts - truly a special spot.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Chris and Jenny are fantastic hosts. The cottage is in a beautiful village and a short distance from so many picturesque locations. The cottage is easy to find and is absolutely immaculate with everything you need for a fantastic stay. It was perfect for us as a family. We were not ready to come home and will certainly be in touch with Chris and Jenny to organise a further stay in the future.

Joanne's cottage was a delightful surprise. It was very quiet at night and we slept really well. Centrally located and within walking distance of all the local amenities.

Very walkable location! We stayed here because of chatsworth house and kept saying how much we love the area! The kitchen was stocked with essentials. The stairs were a little steep but nothing we couldn’t handle with a little bit of caution and the railing. Absolutely lovely stay! Thank you!

The cottage was beautiful, and well equipped for cooking, playing games and local recommendations. Would highly recommend coming by car as it meant that we could go out during the day and go for fairly local walks or out for food.

John is a very good host with useful tips and good company together with Judiith. The cottage is lovely and the garden is absolutely stunning. Well-situated in the Peak District.

Really beautiful stay at Top Cottage! As soon as I walked in I wished I was staying longer! The cottage is kitted out to a really high standard and was spotless. Coming from a City, it was so peaceful to be able to sit in the garden and hear nothing but nature! Loved everything about this stay and have saved it for future UK visits :)
