Annex located on the Ice Age Route

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in our little newly renovated secret at the back of the garden. Watch the wild grass grow in the flower meadow while the sun colors the landscape on the horizon. Put on your hiking boots and walk in Skimmelskov in 5 minutes, or pack your coffee and walk 1/2 hour to Kløveshøj to enjoy the view of the ice age landscape and Tissø. The annex is used daily for psychotherapy, and invites you to peace and presence. There is a private entrance from the sea path, and a small parking space for the car. During the season, Orø offers a number of cafes and restaurants, a cozy mini zoo, playground and child-friendly beach. The cottage is located on the edge of a small peaceful forest with birds and deer. Large lawn, surrounded by trees. Good for playing and playing ball. There is a sun terrace with beautiful sun loungers and a covered terrace that provides space for cozy activities. From the house, it is 5 minutes to the water on foot to your own beach and 5 minutes by car to Orø's best and child-friendly beach.

Suitable for families. No parties. 6 beds (two bunk beds and one double) in the main house and a bunk bed and 1.5 man bed in the annex. Best suited for 6-8 people. Large terrace, gas grill, outdoor shower, trampoline. High chair, no crib. Cleaning is mandatory. Bring your own bed linen and towels. No smoking house.

Outside, you can enjoy the beautiful view or sit by the fireplace and enjoy nature. There are many good hiking trails in the area. The cottage has 3 kayaks you can borrow if you want to enjoy the fjord from the water. The fjord "Tempelkrogen" is known for its good fishing waters. The cottage is 45 minutes from Copenhagen.

Directly to the Fjord

Our summerhouse is situated on a small island, Oroe, in Isefjord. It sits on a bluff, almost at the end of a gravel road, with direct access to the fjord from the house. We provide Danish traditional summer house-hygge in natural surroundings with a twist of modern facilities. The house is our private home, open for guests only 10-12 times a year ( the original idea behind AirBnB) In general, we attempt to be as sustainable as possible i.e we always try to repair rather than to replace.

If you are lucky you can watch deer on their walk crossing our garden in the morning.
