Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Holmfirth

We arrived at Holmfirth afew hours early and had a look around. it’s a beautiful little village with lots of walks at the heart of it. I reached out to Ben to see if we could check in early, not a problem he said with his very prompt response. When we entered the house we were pleasantly surprised on how cute the house was with all amenities you need, especially the kitchen which we used several times. The bed is luxurious in a beautiful room. There is a stream across from the bedroom window, when you go to sleep you can hear it clearly which I personally loved, it actually helped me sleep too. Lots of surrounding walks and lovely restaurants to visit. Nothing seemed too much trouble for Ben, the owner. He offered everything we needed for our perfect little stay. Thanks again. We’ll be back.

An amazing use of space to create a lovely home from home. The place was immaculate and I couldn’t fault Kaaren on communication. Although the road outside is busy I didn’t hear at all once inside and had a lovely restful night recharging between exploring the local areas of Holmfirth and Penistone.

Sally’s little cottage is just the perfect spot for a weekend in Holmfirth. Parking nearby was not a problem, and then you can walk into town in just a couple of minutes. There is a small table and chair outside, just perfect for a drink in the evening. Despite a pub being nearby no noise at all overnight and we slept very well. Sally was very kind and flexible with the check in time. We hope to come back!

We loved our stay at Mandy’s place. The accommodation was absolutely gorgeous. So authentic yet modern with everything you need. It was right in the town and ideal in every way. Holmfirth is a beautiful town, so many restaurants, bars and cafes and beautiful walks right on your doorstep. We loved it!!!

Lovely little cottage right in the middle of Holmfirth. It's a stones throw from Cooper's Yard, a great food and beer hall, as well as dozens of other restaurants, cafes and bars, but far enough away from the main road you won't notice the noise. Just be prepared to stumble up the steep hill back to the cottage if you've had a few drinks down in the centre! Very easy to get out of Holmfirth either on walking routes or car (we did walks from the Coop down the road before checking in and also drove to the Peak District from the cottage, ~45m drive on a quietish day).

Great place quiet even though in centre of holmfirth Very clean spacious & well done out Probably only negative is somewhere to park but then holmfirth isn’t the best for parking ! Would definitely recommend place & stay here again Thankyou

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage; fabulous location within easy walking distance of all local attractions. Well equipped and very cosy it exceeded expectations! Beds were so comfy too.

Exactly as a described and a great stay. A really quirky property that proved much more fun for a work trip than a hotel. Colin was easy to get hold of and helped with the stay

We had a great week in this flat and would definitely return , Pubs & restaurants on your doorstep and a great balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. Also Nick our host is a nice guy .

A really beautiful apartment with incredible views. Clean and comfortable. It was a haven to return to after a busy day. There are great walks right from the door. Ripponden is a beautiful village with very friendly people. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved staying here! The beds were so comfortable. The whole Airbnb was so tidy, clean and cozy. We genuinely felt like we were at home it was so lovely. Abbey was amazing, we arrived early as we travelled from 6 hours away and Abbey took our luggage and bags in for us so we could set off to manchester town centre for a festival. She was so helpful and friendly, gave us recommendations for taxis etc. The price was amazing, she could charge a lot more for this accommodation. Thank you so much Abbey we had the best time and will never forget the experience or help you gave us!

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

Rosie’s place was **absolutely perfect** in every way! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and right at home. The space was **spotlessly clean**, beautifully decorated, and had everything we could possibly need – from fresh linens and towels to a fully equipped kitchen and super comfy beds. Rosie herself was an **exceptional host**: friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. She gave us great local tips (like her favorite coffee shop downtown!), and was always quick to answer questions. The little touches – like coffee, snacks, and a handwritten welcome note – truly made us smile. The location was **ideal*– quiet, safe, and just a short drive to Peak District . We loved coming back to such a peaceful space after exploring Peak District. **Everything was exactly as described** (or better!) in the listing, and check-in/checkout was seamless. We couldn’t have asked for a smoother or more enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.

Just what we were looking for - long scenic walks in beautiful surroundings. The flat was so lovely and was comfortable with everything we needed - with wonderful views. Perfect get away.

Sally was a great host who helped me out at very short notice when I realised I’d booked the wrong night to start my stay!So a massive thank you Sally. The accommodation itself is spotlessly clean, and has every amenity you could wish for - Sally really has thought of everything. The perfect place to stay when visiting Leeds but wishing to stay somewhere away from the hustle and bustle - and so much nicer than a hotel room.

The flat is really cozy and has all the amenities that one would need. Jill and her son, Marcus took care of everything. I needed few things and they arranged it for me promptly. Also on the first day they welcomed me with breakfast and flowers which I thought was a really sweet gesture. Dronfield is a great place to stay and the neighbourhood is beautiful as well. I would highly recommend Jill’s place, primarily for their great hospitality.

Great location quiet, easy to get to. We stopped just 1 night so didn’t use anything in the kitchen but it had all you would need. Plenty big enough for 2 people with really comfy bed and large bathroom with walk in shower . Would definitely stay there again

Myself, my husband, our baby and mother in law all stayed here for a long weekend for a wedding in Kelham island. Khateeb was incredibly responsive, accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The weather was particularly hot during our stay, which was a bit of a concern with our baby, and he dropped off a fan to help us cool the apartment down (which was massively appreciated). The flat was very clean and tidy and the sofa bed was set up ready for our arrival. The location was excellent, we recommend The Grind Cafe just across the bar. There was ample parking a short walk away and even though the apartment is in the heart of Kelham island, it wasn’t too noisy throughout the night. Would highly recommend!

Phil and Anne were wonderful, even before we arrived we needed to switch our dates and they were happy to accommodate the change without fuss. On arrival we were shown where to park and around the accomodation, which was just as described, clean,tidy, super comfortable and had all the described amenities and lots of little touches that made our stay perfect. Thank you both for a wonderful base for our trip.

The views were breathtaking and the peace and quiet at the cottage was just what we needed. The views of the village, the sun set and the full moon were all beautiful gems we got to experience at Top of t’hill. You really have made it a cosy and comfortable stay, and it was a perfect getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The gym and sauna were great facilities that we benefitted and enjoyed too. Your eco environment friendly home and surroundings was an inspiration to us. Finally, your hospitality and kindness, and lovely chats with us made us feel like old friends! Lovely house in a beautiful location with stunning views of the countryside! Great communication from the host, April, meant the property was easy to find. Highly recommend.

stayed for a total of 5 nights, spotlessly clean and space large enough for 2 people. off street parking, so quiet, well stocked fridge with jams milk etc. I really liked the bedside table that included to USB charging points. will definitely stay again when I am next visiting
