Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hydra

We only stayed one night, we wish we could have stayed longer. It’s a magical place in a peaceful village. Kaiti provides an incredible local guide - we were able to do a few of her recommended things during our quick stay.

the traditional stone house is a cosy family home with old world charm. We really enjoyed the view over the sea from the terrace and the great walks through the neighbourhood, to the harbour and on the surrounding hillsides. There were very good restaurants, cafes and bakers. Swimming in the sea was perfect. A very relaxing holiday!

First off, we really enjoyed our stay here! John was very responsive, and went above and beyond to help us. The apartment itself is immaculately clean and beautiful, and has everything one could possibly need to feel comfortable. Our stay here was a highlight of our trip, can’t wait to come back! :)

What do I say? The contact with Ileana was benevolent and super warm from the beginning. I immediately felt comfortable with her. She sent travel recommendations in advance and constantly asked if she could be of any help. I found everything as described in the house. And it was really all to my taste. I would live in a similar way. I felt very comfortable there. Due to the road being busier than expected, it was sometimes a little louder due to the traffic. Iro is the best host we ever had! She is so kind and was always taking care that we had the best stay in her dream house up on the hill of Hydra town. The house has a mediterranean charm, perfect for two persons and very cosy and tastefully decorated. We loved it at first sight! Tucked away above the town you have absolute privacy and a calm and peaceful atmosphere but the best thing is the view!! You have two terraces which offer a panoramic view over a part of Hydra town as well as over the aegean sea and the romantic little harbor of Kamini. We just loved it so much sitting there, reading or just enjoying the view. We got visits from two little furry companions who come by from time to time to gaze with us into the night sky or over the sea, always sweet and grateful for a little snack or a cuddle. We had an amazing time and could not imagine a better place to stay in Hydra. We really fell in love with Iros Hydra home for dreamers!! Not the last time!

10/10, nothing more to say. A short distance from Hydra, away from all the noise. It’s close if you want to go there, yet still near beautiful beaches, great excursions, and charming restaurants. We loved spending time on the terrace with sea views, enjoying beautiful breakfasts and dinners. Highly recommended.

Really nice quiet area of Hydra. It is a bit of a climb to get there but the air conditioning works very well to cool off after! Good kitchen for cooking and Christo was very helpful, even picked us up from the port.

The accommodation is self matched all descriptions and photos. There is a private balcony but also shared spaces (that still felt private in many ways!) Location is a short walk from the main town but ideal to be away for any general noise. I slept comfortably and never felt that my needs were not met. Finally, the host and her daughter were undeniably one of the most catering, supportive and attentive hosts I’ve had. Their recommendations were exactly what I was looking for but Irene was speedy at replies, able to resolve any questions and was always on hand. The place will be in my heart!

I absolutely loved my stay. I was greeted with so much warmth and kindness by Vangelis who showed Nina’s home thoroughly to me and introduced Poros as an island. Nina’s home felt cozy and comfortable from the get go. I loved reading my book and overlooking the view from the balcony and having many restaurants at an arms reach. The hosts remained communicative all throughout my stay and helped me whenever I had some travel-related questions. I would recommend this airbnb to anyone visiting Poros.

We had two amazing days in Georgios apartment. The view from the balcony was mind-blowingly beautiful, overlooking the sea, mountains and picturesque town of Poros. The streets were full of friendly cats and whichever way we turned could be considered an artwork by itself. Georgios was quick to answer any questions we had and was an amazing host. I can highly recommended his apartment for anyone visiting Poros, if for a couple of days or a week. Thank you, and Skål!

We had a great stay at Vaggelis's apartment! The terrace has a stunning view and the apartment is really cute and cosy. We had everything what we needed and our host always wanted to be sure if we're feeling good. We strongly recommend this apartment and Poros island! It's beautiful and romantic. A perfect stay. Infinitely grateful that we were allowed to stay in Ruggero's accommodation. An absolute dream and exactly what we were looking for. Private beach, a loving accommodation, boat access to Hydra, magical nature. Warmest recommendation to all.

From start to finish, our stay was absolutely brilliant. Marika was lovely and helpful for us throughout- altered the check in time due to our early arrival from the ferry. She left us bathing towels and Mats for us to use at the beach- we didn’t expect, but came in very handy. The flat was stunning- beautiful views from the window and front patio, literally a stone throw to the beach- incredible. The place was peaceful and In walking distance to the more lively areas around Skala. We loved our time here and would definitely recommend. Thanks for having us.

Staying here was the highlight of my two-week trip in Greece. It felt like staying at a doting aunt's house. Panagioula invited us on beach outings with her husband and gave us great recommendations. Can't wait to come back to Hydra. Efharisto!

We had a great time at Perdika! The house was perfect for our needs, spacious enough for 3 people. It was very clean and ready to be used. The best part was the balcony with an amazing view over the Perdika Marina, where we enjoy amazing sunsets. We were also walking distance from bakeries, supermarkets, and restaurants. The boat to Moni Island was super close by as well. Our host, Raphael, was very nice, prontly answering our requests, and suggesting some activities we could do in Perdika and in Aegina. We are super happy with our decision to stay here! Thank you to Raphael for the warm hospitality. We recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a calm, private space in a beautiful location!

Very convenient location right next to the port with a good restaurant downstairs and laundries within 2 to 3 walking distance.

I will say that Agistri in November is very very quiet... there are no open restaurants but a small convenience store to be able to shop and a bakery... On the 1st day we were a little surprised but we discovered Agistri and its small villages nearby with pretty coves and nice walks to do. Desponia was very kind and provided the answers to our questions…. A nice stay but be careful village very quiet at this time... for those who like tranquility it's perfect... Bring back condiments if you stay several days and cook

Clean, comfortable, and easily one of the best views in Hydra. Just a 5-minute walk from the port, so everything is close and convenient. A peaceful and memorable stay — highly recommend!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at George's house. The house and rooftop were beautiful and extremely clean. George was very welcoming and readily available for information and advice about the island.
