Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and satellite TV (Astra). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Enjoy the tranquility or take the opportunity to discover the magical Tivedsskogen on a lovely autumn day, from the cabin you have several sights within a reasonable distance. To name a few there are for example. Karlsborgs Fortress, Bölets meadows and Tiveds country store. If you are a big fisherman, you might get the old pike on the hook in one of all the beautiful lakes in the surroundings. To Björstorps swimming area - Skarven is 2.6 km, where is a shallow beach with jetty and toilet.

Experience the luxury of nature and simplicity. Secluded just a hundred meters from the lake, surrounded by trees lies your cabin. A spot to just relax or hang out without a requirement. Take a morning swim in the lake or sit and cozy in front of the wood stove. At the lake, there is also a wood-fired sauna that you can use freely for a fee. Take a break and unwind in this peaceful oasis. Nice lake view from the cottage and about 300 meters to swimming and barbecue area by the lake. Cosy cabin only 10 minutes by car from the famous Tivedens National Park. Amazing view to lake Unden, the largest fresh water lake in Tived. Fantastic to swim in when it's warm in the summer. Amazing sunsets and a very peaceful atmosphere. Romantic. The area straight down from the cabin by the water doesn't belong to the property but welcomes respectful visitors.

Close to forest and nature. - ICA store 1km - Djäknesundet bathing area (15min by car) Nearby areas have a lot of history behind them. - Göta Kanal - Tivedens Nationalpark - Forsviks Bruk - 600 years of industrial history - Karlsborg Fortress - Avicii - Tim Bergling's ancestors have owned/used farms around Undenäs in at least since the end of the 16th century.

Granvik

Slappna av i detta bekväma, unika och lugna boende mitt i skogen där ingen biltrafik råder. Här får ni närhet till bad och fiske i ett flertal sjöar. Vitsands och Djäknesundets vackra badplatser ligger 25 respektive 9 km från stugan. Flertalet naturreservat finns runt knuten. Tivedens nationalpark ligger endast 10 km bort. Tiveden bjuder också på vandrings-, rid- och kanotleder. Från Karlsborg kan man ta en tur med kanalbåten på Göta kanal eller besöka Karlsborgs fästning.

At Ängalyckan, you live in your own small cabin in the middle of the wonderful area of Tiveden, close to both Tiveden National Park, beautiful lakes, hiking trails, bike routes and more. The accommodation has two beds and a sofa bed for two. It also features a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, etc. In a separate building there is a shower and toilet which are sometimes shared with others.
