Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Irondale

This was a great place to stay for two nights in Birmingham. It was quiet and in a nice neighborhood a little bit outside of downtown.

Haley was very generous with her time. Great surroundings. Although it was a basement apt, unlike others we have stayed in, it was extremely quiet. Will definitely be back. Thanks Haley.

This is my second time staying at Kelly's place. It's very private and I love the front porch where you can sit and no one will bother you.

This is a great house! love the decor, simple and kid-friendly (didn't have to move a bunch of things out of reach of the toddler). The dogs appreciated the fenced yard, and we were grateful for details like coffee filters, eco-friendly TP and kitchen towels, and ceiling fans in every room and on the front porch.

Our stay was different than vacation. We stayed due to a medical procedure so we were also recovery while having to stay in the area. The house was our home away from home for 3 weeks. It was in a quiet neighborhood close to the airport. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and listening to the planes. Overall great place to stay.

The location and area are great. I stayed with my two large dogs and they enjoyed the walkability around the neighborhood. Things to note: the yard is separate from the home so you have to exit the home with your pets. Not a major deal but good to know. The furniture was average for an Airbnb. The beds were not my favorite but that’s a personal preference. The game room and “gym” are a nice feature but it was so hot I could not use the room. I was here for work so not major. They had great TV options and though the appliance are old, they worked perfectly for cooking. I would absolutely stay again. The hosts made the experience worth the money!

This place is truly beautiful and just so adorable. Hosts were super responsive and it was easy to get in and out and walk to coffee shop and restaurants, was super convenient to the event that I came for. As others mentioned the train sounds are noticeable - I ended up wearing noise canceling headphones my second night and I also recommend an eye mask- the parking lot lights are quite bright that are across from the place, even with the blinds closed. Bed was comfy and the couch was lovely. The decor is also super cute.

We went for a wedding weekend and enjoyed our stay. Great location. Close to so many restaurants. Place was clean, cozy, and absolutely perfect for my husband and I. Would definitely stay here again!

Susan was a great host. We had a problem with the A/C, but she addressed it right away and resolved the issue. And for our one day inconvenience her refunded our full amount. If the property is available I will be staying there again. Thanks.

Tight quarters, but has all you need for a quick stay. A/C is a window unit on the window in front of the bed. That did take us a minute to find, as all lights/air conditioning are off at time of entry. It takes a little bit to cool off, so would recommend coming in and getting the unit going while unpacking. This place is located very close to restaurants and easy access to either I-65 or I-459. I would say pretty well centrally located if you are going to be driving all over BHM. Would stay here again

The location is very convenient to reach 280 and Colonade area. The place is very well appointed with great amenities. Clint is a very responsive and proactive host. Definitively returning here on my next trip to Birmingham.

Second time staying here and we have enjoyed it both times! We love the place and the view. Definitely the best place to stay in Alabama!!

Great little spot. .... I am already expecting to book this place again. Within walking distance from quite a few wonderful restaurants. If you're ready for City Living this is your spot. If you want peace and quite the Zen Garden is perfect. I didn't pack a swim suit but I definitely will next time. Shelia is a Super Host that puts your needs in that Priority List. It was so nice. We loved the location because we love Homewood! The place was very comfortable and beautifully furnished!

This is a great place central to downtown Birmingham. Right above an awesome pizza restaurant and gelato shop. Place is exactly as pictured. The windows are beautiful. We stayed for a month and followed his helpful directions on getting a monthly parking pass for the lot right across the street and it worked out great! Would definitely stay here again.

Laurens place was comfy and in a great, walkable, central location for exploring Birmingham on foot and by car. I enjoyed the balcony views, high ceilings, and large windows. Coffee and filtered water was provided which is always a lovely touch. I'd recommend the spot to anyone looking for a place in the heart of the city.

We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Hoover. This place is super clean, safe, and roomy. It is in a nice location that is convenient to everything you need.

Joe’s place is very nice! I think it’s exactly what the pictures depicted and worked really well for our one night stay. Joe was very responsive to my messages and helped coordinate an early check in based on our need for that. That was very much appreciated and would recommend this property and any others he may have, based on that service alone!

I recently stayed at 42nd while in Birmingham for work. The location was perfect. Easy walk to charming shops and restaurants. Also a quick drive to other parts of Birmingham. The interiors were styled to perfection, with McKenzie's art showcased throughout the home. Furnishings were comfortable and immaculately kept. Such a beautiful home. I highly recommend and cannot wait to return soon!

Such a cute spot! We travel back and forth from the beach to Birmingham for my daughter’s cancer treatment and found that Airbnbs were the way to go. More homey. This one was great and it’s comfy and cozy. You don’t feel like you’re staying in a sterile Airbnb, if you know what I mean. This one has character and warmth. We were already familiar with the area, but they keep several menus out for you and list tons of spots near by! We had everything we needed and my anxiety appreciates the detailed information we received from the hosts.
