Monthly Rentals in Jost Van Dyke

The charm of the Hideaway is the quiet, remote location. The views are spectacular! The beach is very private with lounge chairs and a pergola - we were the only ones there! The open-air dining area is spacious and we loved being able to look out at sea while eating. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor shower was a cool experience. The kitchen had all we needed to make simple meals, including a blender for frozen island drinks. :-) Filtered water and an ice-maker in the fridge were key. Libby was a great host - very communicative, helpful and quick to respond to our questions. We did end up renting a Jeep since it is a bit far from from Great Harbour and the roads are very steep, but Foxy's Taboo is a short 1-mile walk down the road and their food is excellent. I do recommend bringing some provisions with you so you don't have to make the trek back to town because once you're there, you won't want to leave!

We stayed in the two bedroom villa for a few days in April and it was wonderful. We really enjoyed the large patio and amazing views. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms super clean and nice. Kitchen was well stocked and again very clean. Overall it was such a peaceful retreat and a wonderful stay. Nigel and Karen were wonderful hosts.

From start to finish our experience with Ann Marie and stay at Ataraxia Cottage was fantastic! Ann Marie was incredibly communicative and responsive from the start, providing (extremely helpful!) guidance on getting on the car ferry in St Thomas and where to meet her to get to the cottage. The cottage itself was a dream - literally, we slept like logs on a wonderful mattress every night after busy days hiking and on the beach. The cottage provided the perfect haven for our stay - the kitchen is equipped well for small meals, beach chairs and towels provided, and we barely needed the AC - the ceiling fans were enough! We would and will absolutely return to Ataraxia and Coral Bay - slightly off the beaten track and still so easy to reach all parts of St John. Absolutely stunning. Private cottage on owners property. Studio with large bath. This is an extremely remote location which we loved. You need a 4 wheel drive vehicle- must. There is nothing commercial nearby and that is the charm. Still easy to take your vehicle to all the amazing spots. The hosts are incredible- we had several travel delays and arrived very late .Brynley stayed in touch and waited for us. Next day they were super helpful with our rental car issue. One of the best stays ever. Thank you.
