Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Jurassic Coast

Having grown up in the area, Kennel Farm is the place we choose to come back for our family holiday every year. We love the house and surroundings. Excellent location and Tanya is a perfect host. Highly recommend.

An absolute gem. Such a beautiful place, even better than the photos. The garden is gorgeous with comfy seats. It is fully dog-proof (if you have a small dog there is one stretch under a trellis they could get out, but my spaniel couldn’t). The whole interior is lovely and well equipped. The shower is lush. Wonderful dog walks within walking distance of the house (you can see them on the footpaths map online) and at the coast a short drive away.

Had a great time staying here with all the family, the house is so close to the beach it was perfect for us! Was such an easy and chill stay with a surprise hamper full of goodies when we arrived. Would love to stay here again and Tristan was super helpful with recommendations and extra info!

Really lovely and beautiful done place. Full or interesting things felt very much at home. The garden was so beautifully landscaped was a joy in and out. Very peaceful and we had some gorgeous sunsets!! Will definitely come again as soon as we can.

We had the most wonderful weekend in Lyme Regis, and Tess's house was the perfect home from home in an ideal location. Not only did the house provide everything we needed, she laid out a cream tea for our arrival and the girls were very excited by the toys in their bedroom. We spent our days exploring and evenings on the beach where not only a seal spent the night in the bay while the girls paddled but we also spent an hour watching a dolphin jumping out the water. We will most certainly be back. Thank you for a magical family weekend x

We had the best of week's at April's cottage. it's very sweet and placed in a super location. All the facilities are as listed, the view is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. The cottage is well situated, and I highly recommend the fish shop which can be found at the top of the road two minutes walk away. We just had the most relaxing of stays and will definitely make a return visit.

Great place in a very central location in Weymouth. The flat is located directly at the Weymouth sandy beach and there are plenty of bars cafes and restaurants around. Still, because of its position in the back of the building, the flat is surprisingly quiet. We found the flat in very good condition and very clean with a fully equipped kitchen a big dining/living area, a modern and very clean bathroom and a decent sized bedroom with good bedding. We felt directly at home. Parking in the area is tricky ( which is to be expected given the central location). We parked at an ASDA as long stay option which is an 8-10 min walk but comes at around 5 pounds day using the JustPark app. Very good seafood restaurant directly next door. Would very happily book Nikki’s flat again when in Weymouth!

This has to be the best ever beachfront apartment we have stayed in. Spectacular views, spacious balcony, superbly equipped and everything worked without any hassle. The Leisure Club is an added bonus for me - brilliant pool, fitness equipment and the jacuzzi plus the outdoor terrace and restaurant with great meals, especially the (takeaway available too) fish and chips. The purpose of this trip was a holiday for my 94 year old Mother - above all the apartment was very safe/secure, accessible, the few steps to the 1st floor are manageable and the lift means getting into the apartment is easy. Totally recommend this apartment!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean upon arrival, bright and comfortable. Quiet at night. Nice views from the living area over the harbor and looking over the town from the large bedroom. As Suzanne had noted in the listing, there is no assigned parking space which could be an issue. We had to pay to park the day of arrival. It’s free after 6pm until 8am. One item we’d suggest adding would be a clothes hanger for drying as the machine didn’t seem to actually dry anything. We’d highly recommend Seagulls restaurant (book in advance). Unassuming place but food was excellent. We also liked Platform for a Sunday roast and Rise for breakfast. The George was decent. If we’re back in West Bay, we’d definitely stay again.

Yes, all the 5 star reviews are true! Our stay at Joy’s place was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The apartment was spotless. Joy supplied some wonderful goodies, pastries, scrumptious bread, biscuits and fresh fruit and milk. Lots of information about the area. As the buses were so frequent we used them to visit some wonderful scenic places. Everything one would want for a short stay. The views are amazing with lots of lovely walks nearby which our little dog Mollie loved.

‘Rowsley’ really is delightful accommodation - beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and tucked away in a peaceful location yet only a short distance from the iconic Lyme Regis seafront. What more could guests want?!! Many thanks Sheena, hopefully we’ll be back one day.

Couldn’t ask for a better stay! My partner and I brought our newborn on his first holiday here to Torbay. We were somewhat anxious about it, but Susan went above and beyond to make us feel at ease and provide everything we needed. The property is stunning, everything is to the best quality, it’s better than most 5 star hotels. We will definitely be back, and would definitely recommend.

I told my four-year-old we had been invited by 2 queens to stay in their castle—and what queens they were! Such a friendly reception and what a wonderfully whimsical place. The location is fabulous: you can’t see another property, just rolling hills of sheep (the friendliest photobombing sheep I’ve ever come across!), chickens, cows, horses… and the dogs are such a sweet, quiet presence too. Beds are luxurious and the whole house is super cosy with a fab little private garden. A real gem! Would definitely return.

Fabulous place, fantastic views from living room and master bedroom, perfect place. Such a great location just across the road from the beach and a few minutes walk from the harbour and town centre. The sound of the pebbles washing up the beach lulled us to sleep. Thank you Anna!

Stayed for a friends wedding. Location was perfect as walking distance to registry office and reception. Jonathan was proactive and offered recommendations of things to do if I wanted them. I changed my arrival time last minute and Jonathan was excellent at accommodating the changes providing clear instructions / directions. The apartment was clean, milk in the fridge and biscuits left for me, good sized shower with good water pressure and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay, the location was perfect as was the flat. Very clean and comfortable with all you need for your stay and lovely dogs are welcome even though the flat had zero dog smell or dog hair ☺️. If we had to find a tiny negative it was maybe the pub next door which has live music each weekend so can be a little noisy but it would not put us off staying here again. We were also very grateful for the parking permit and most of the time we’re able to park directly opposite the flat. All in all a lovely stay! Thank you Cate!,

A very tasteful modern and pristine apartment with the most amazing views along the Jurassic Coast - what a place to relax. It is reasonably close to the beautiful town of Lyme Regis walking however the return journey is challenging and is not for everyone. It is so convenient though for the many walking routes in the area which we really enjoyed. Thanks Melanie and David for wonderful stay ( loved your new lawn mower David, we might have to get one too! )

We really enjoyed our time here in this lovely, light and spacious apartment. Very well furnished and decorated, the beds were very comfortable too! Gemma and Mark were lovely hosts and were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our chats!! Sophie and her humans loved meeting Hektor and Styx and she enjoyed the front garden. We will return and hope to see another glorious sunset.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carley’s apartment. All directions and instructions were spot on and easy to follow. The apartment was perfect and the view is stunning, and everything we needed was thought of by Carley, who was also super helpful and friendly. We’d definitely recommend to anyone!

The location was great with lots to do. Lovely restaurant recommended to us within walking distance. The apartment was kept to a high standard however bathroom cleanliness could have been better with a few hairs in sink and bath plug cover. Bed comfortable and linen clean. Kitchen and lounge area provided everything we needed and good size. Price was brilliant for the location and time of year. Nice visit, thank you :)

Ian’s place was absolutely gorgeous. A very spacious and modern apartment on the top floor with a wrap around balcony. We had an amazing few nights here and couldn’t fault it. There’s free parking on the street which was easy to find a spot. The flat is in an amazing location which is fairly quiet and walking distance to the beach or town centre.
