Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kaipara Harbour

I stayed there on my birthday. The bath was incredibly relaxing, and having a barbecue while looking out at the ocean was absolutely amazing.

We had a great weekend at this house, the views were incredible and we loved sitting out on the deck. Lots of gorgeous spots nearby to visit. The house was reasonably well stocked and Alan was responsive to messages and sorting out any problems. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a fantastic stay at The Black Pearl. We loved the sea views, comfy beds and location. The house was easy to find and reach by taxi or bus, the local bowls club was great for a feed and a few drinks, and the French bakery down the road was perfect for a light breakfast before heading out for the day. It was great to have the fireplace for the chilly nights/mornings, and Kurt and Sacha were quick to respond to our messages. Overall an amazing stay and great value for money.

Nice modern house with a great view/large deck area. House was well equipped with bbq, fully kitted out kitchen and clean/spacious bathrooms, comfy beds (bed frames a little bit wobbly but didnt effect the sleep) Good location very close to the beach, estuary and cliff hike but to walk back from the beach is up the steep driveway (not far but just mentioning it is uphill). We enjoyed our stay even though the weather didnt come through for us. Thanks :)

We had a wonderful weekend and created some truly beautiful memories in this stunning home. The fireplace was a lovely touch, especially during the chilly mornings and evenings. The kitchen was modern, stylish and very practical, with a massive island bench that worked perfectly for our group. It made cooking and sharing meals together so easy and enjoyable. The hosts were readily available through the Airbnb app whenever we had questions, and they graciously allowed us a slightly later check-out as we were having such a beautiful weekend. The instructions for using the house facilities and checking out were clear and really helpful. The spa pool was amazing and added an extra layer of relaxation to an already perfect weekend. I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

Simply fabulous venue for a reunion with 10 special friends. Peaceful with all amenities, steeped in Glorit family history. Ample walking opportunities and close to the spectacular Gibbs Farm Sculptures. Lots of love and laughter was had amongst the perfect setting with perfect weather.

would not hesitate to stay again!! we had an awesome stay and it is a pretty cool place for views. huge artist room upstairs with glass panels facing the stars. wake up at 3am and be in for a treat!

What a spot! This house is beautiful - open, airy, light and spacious, and the mid-century-modern styling was right up our alley. We made the most of the sunny weather in the sprawling gardens, and the cold plunge and sauna were such a luxury - it definitely felt like we were staying at a private retreat while still being close to everything. Katie and Dan were super responsive and helpful with any questions we had too, and ensured we had an easy and comfortable stay. Looking forward to staying again next time we're in Auckland.

What a great place perfect for us and even room for the next time when our 3rd daughter can stay too- beautiful waterfront excellent location with a Woolworths metro literally across the road and walking distance to viaduct restaurants- in fact we walked into town it was lovely . The carpark(s) was very handy and Kim messaged us with clear instructions and her communication was exceptional. She kindly allowed us early check in and late check out which is invaluable when you have a short stay like a long weekend. Would definitely consider coming back the next time we stay in Auckland.

Fantastic location with direct park access. The most wonderful deck with great views- a joy in summer. Please note: this place doesn’t have an oven or a freezer and the bathroom is tiny, but we managed to make this place our home for a month during renovations. It may not be the ritz but it certainly does have character and a super accommodating host (with the friendliest, loveliest dog- Ziggy is definitely a highlight)

We had a wonderful 2 nights at Sunday school. kitchen is well equipped for us to prepare our own meals, bed is incredibly cosy & the hot shower is to die for. With the chilly mornings and nights, the heaters kept all the rooms warm when the temp dropped. loves our stay here :)

We had an excellent time at this lovely apartment. The location is wonderful and the place is clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. Highly recommend!

Great location, quiet street 5 minutes stroll to Jervois Road

Jodie's place was the perfect find for us. From the minute we walked into it we loved every minute of staying there. Beautifully decorated with everything you need and in perfect working order. The bed is really comfortable and a great shower which was much appreciated after such a long flight. The position is very private with seating areas to the front and rear so you can catch the sun whatever time of day! Jodie is the perfect host - very quick to respond if you need her but otherwise respects your privacy. We needed help with our checkout time and Jodie was so kind and understanding. Jodie's place will always have a special place in our hearts as this was our first visit to Devonport. Thank you, Jodie.

That view! Amazing. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the view and go over to Tiritiri Matangi for the day. What an amazing place. Loads of space, everything we needed, and so many windows to enjoy the incredible view. Couldn't fault it. Mark was amazing. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay, the house was amazing, so beautiful and had everything we needed and more. Himali was super helpful. Lovely, memorable stay. Would absolutely love to stay again if we need accommodation in Auckland.

As a group of 8 people we had a great time during summer here. The hosts were of great help when we had some “parking issues” with our trailer - they organized someone to pull us out of a ditch ;-) and that truly saved our vacation. That was amazing. Whatever was missing was quickly organized. Unfortunately an all-year fire ban on GBI meant we were not allowed to use the outdoor fire place, and since the nights get cold quickly we were looking forward to sitting in front of the outdoor fireplace in the evenings, which obviously did not happen. Also, the utility of the massive balcony is close to nil - it was either burning hot or freezing cold out there. In that regard, if you look at this place, consider that what you get is somewhat less than what you might expect from the pictures alone. Despite these drawbacks we would love to come back any time.

We absolutely loved this beautiful historic home and immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. The staff were extremely discreet but available if sought out. We were impressed with the access to chickens and consequent fresh eggs, and small vegetable garden. On arrival the home had every set of French doors thrown open. It was airy inviting and thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay. The Fitzroy Port area is a little remote from the busier Southern part of the Island but with a rental vehicle this was not a problem,. and there are a number of walks available within the area to not require a vehicle should one use not to hire one. Food is expensive on Great Barrier and it is recommended to stock up and take supplies in a chilli bin with you. There is a store on the Fitzroy wharf which is well stocked however, should you run out of your supplies. The property also has a jetty of its own and can be booked and used to moor your boat should you arrive by sea.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. It was clean, had a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and sofa's. The living spaces for our group of 9 women was perfect. We loved our time here and will definitely be back.

We arrived in a storm and walking into a prewarmed house was amazing. Lots of space, sitting rooms and bedrooms as described. Open fire was lovely on our second night and sitting outside in the sun for breakfast was my favorite. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment, plates and was clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Shivani is an absolutely delight and a fantastic host! The description and pictures represented the beautiful and tastefully decorated home to perfection. It was really a home away from home. Beautiful location, gorgeous views and incredibly well maintained property and home. Thank you Shivani, for your generous hospitality, warm and helpful nature and being so incredibly responsive. We will definitely be visiting again! Perfect family getaway :) 10/10 all round!

Amazing view and great walking distance to everything in Piha. Comfy and easy to relax while you're there.
