The villa was spotless, and everything was in perfect condition. A bit out of the way but with a car was the perfect spot; overlooking the sea and a 10 minutes drive to the nearest village and supermarkets. Really close to Kourtaliotiko gorge and waterfall. Overall was really impressed with this villa and would happily visit again!

Virginies house is just stunning and exudes quality in every way epitomised by the fabulous marble lined swimming pool. Everything is finished to a high standard. The location of the house is elevated with fabulous views over the immaculate grounds, surrounding olive groves and sea views. The shaded veranda was the perfect place to sit, read, enjoy a drink and of course the amazing view. As the house is quite remote my only advice would be getting there for the first time in the light as navigating there in the dark was a bit of a challenge. Plakias is known to be windy, and this was the case for our visit making it impossible to use the pool umbrellas. That said the wind was appreciated by us all helping us to keep cool in the August sun. The local beaches were beautiful with crystal clear warm water and stunning surrounds perfect for swimming and snorkelling. We also enjoyed a fabulous day sailing from Skafia so were also able to visit a number of other coves and caves inaccessible by car. Virginie couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a brief interruption to the water supply but she was proactive in reaching a solution quickly and kept us well informed throughout. She also provided comprehensive recommendations for local beaches and restaurants which we referred to regularly during our stay. Overall we felt very lucky to have stayed for a week in Virginies gorgeous home and very much hope to visit again in the future.

Without doubt THE BEST place we've ever been on holiday ❤️. The location is just perfect if you're looking for an 'off grid' place. The mountain views are outstanding and only interrupted by the sound of the mountain goats bells which are wonderfully melodic!. The hosts were wonderful providing us with a homemade Moussaka for our arrival 👌delivering fresh eggs from their hens later in the week. Google Maps brings you right to the villa and a small hire car can make it just take your time on the windy bits! If you're a cat lover you're in for a treat as there are a few beautiful young cats to feed (food provided by owners). Pool fabulous accommodation perfect. We are already booking for next year! 💯 the perfect place to wind down and recharge away from everything we couldn't recommend enough! ps Nikolaos was super helpful when we needed support on getting a flat tyre replaced 👌

we had a great stay at petasos house! everything was as described and we really felt like home. The view is beautiful ! sellia is a small village in the mountains,so it's really peaceful. however you are only 10 minutes away from beaches and we could easily visit the environment and some spectacular sites as the palm beach :) just to know, the south is quite windy so you might to chose your beach carefully, but at least it feels less hot ;) overall we had an amaw amazingzing stay and would recommend this ! keep going nick !

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. this is a great Villa to stay at in central Crete that made it easy to branch off to many other areas of the island the best part was the Villa itself with its swimming pool and the views. great place to stay close to the small village of margarite. highly recommend it's got to be one of the best places to stay in all of Crete. Michalis was a great representing host.

The best villa we have ever been to. We didn’t want to leave, the villa has everything you need. Access to the beach, whirpool, beautiful pool, bbq place. Amazing. Really impressed. I hope we will come back. Thank you!

The house is even more breathtaking than the pictures show: in total we were 3 families. Everyone got their money's worth and whoever wanted to retreat, the house is huge and safe, everyone finds their place. The quiet beach was directly below the house. There are also larger beaches nearby. Joggers will also get their money's worth thanks to the beauty of the coast. And yes, you can still swim there on October 21. The surrounding towns offer plenty of opportunities to eat at family-friendly prices. Most of the time we spent in the summer kitchen right next to the pool. Simply wonderful for relaxing the whole facility. Technically, all rooms meet the needs, including a jukebox. Aris is a hospitable host, takes care of all concerns with his team immediately and gives very good tips. Every day someone comes by in the morning to check that everything is OK and to empty the garbage cans. We would come back anytime. Thank you very much
