We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous villa. From the moment we met Stefanos and his parents at their nearby taverna to say hello and get the keys, we knew it would be a great vacation. We were welcomed with cold drinks and plates of delicious food. Stefanos personally took us to the villa, showed us around and answered all our questions. There was a beautiful food basket (vegetables, fruit, olive oil, and other Crete delights) waiting for us as a further welcome. The villa itself is even more gorgeous than in the photos. It is beautifully appointed and each of the 4 bedrooms has its own bath so it was perfect for the couples staying there. The view is stunning - looking out over olive groves and farm land with the sea in the distance. We found fantastic beaches nearby, groceries and great tavernas in local villages. We also enjoyed some swims in the pool at the villa. All in all, a wonderful stay and a huge thanks to Stefanos and his family for so warmly welcoming us!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Philia. A lovely peaceful private house in the heart of the beautiful village of Gavalohori. Wonderful facilities, nice shady decks with great views of the White Mountains. The pool is amazing - you share it with the downstairs apartment, but it is super private. The local tavernas are amazing, and a nice little bakery and a couple of small convenience stores. Walking around Gavalohori is just beautiful. Angelos met us on arrival, shared his mother's home made spinach pies and of course, raki. The house was wonderfully ventilated with insect screens on all the windows - we didn't need to use the AC at all. If you are looking to escape the touristy towns, a stay at at Villa Philia in beautiful Gavalohori is a must.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the property for 5 days and were very please with our stay. The apartment is on the first floor of a beautiful modern house. The apartment was very well equipped, there was nothing missing. Highlighted is the beautiful terrace with Jacuzzi. The location is great. It is about a 15-minute drive to the center of Chania. Several beaches are within walking distance. The house itself is quietly located. It offers a good starting point for exploring Crete. Katerina and her husband are great hosts. Upon arrival, a fresh Greek salad, oranges and wine awaited us. We got fresh vegetables from the garden a few days later. Katerina was always available and very friendly. We felt very comfortable. Overall we would recommend the accommodation! 5/5 stars!

Cannot overstate what a great experience this was, thanks to the atmosphere of the place and to Giannis's kind and attentive hosting. Beautiful accommodation on 3 floors, with indoor and outdoor spaces. We were in the heart of the lively Old Town, yet felt private and quiet at night. Ideal base from which to explore western Crete.

Eleftherios is a very likeable, helpful and great host! The small house is usually well shaded in the middle of an olive grove. You can pick mulberries from the terrace, a little further there are fresh oranges and lemons. The accommodation is not only beautiful, but also very well thought out. In addition to the good insulation, in which a short use of the air conditioning also cools, the fly screen in front of the large bedroom window, the Bluetooth box, the large terrace with a beautiful view of the olive grove, it is the small, well-considered things that simply give pleasure. Starting with sharp, small knives, mosquito repellent, coffee, detergent, good shower gel, orange press, good cooking utensils... We will be back, no question!

The house was lovely and very convenient to get to from the airport. The surroundings were idyllic and we had a very peaceful stay here. Kostula was a brilliant host, always very responsive when we had any questions. We were supplied with basic amenities for cooking which is always a bonus as we didn't need to go straight to the shops for oil, salt, coffee, etc. There was also a homemade cake waiting for us on arrival and we were given some fresh eggs from their hens when we met Kostula and her husband! All in all it was a brilliant stay with wonderful hosts and we would love to visit again!

Adorable little house where we felt good from the moment we arrived. Very nice garden with deckchairs, tables, barbecue and the best of the best, an outdoor shower, a marvel. We hear the cicadas, the birds, and the bells of the sheep. Ideal location, close to Visses and not far from the sea. We can't wait to go back. Address to recommend as well as the welcome of Vassilis who treated us to his little interventions and always responded to all our requests. Bravo and thank you again.

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place was super clean and everything well maintained. Just felt right at home with an amazing view, great beds and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Four friends and I stayed in this rustic, charming, beautiful and overall homie space for 7 days while we attending a wedding and we all unanimously could not have been more happy! This is a space that you feel so great walking into over and over. I had the best meal of my life with the entire party literally around the corner… maybe 20 steps and we were all in glee. The entire area in old town is gorgeous. You cannot see it any other way. There is a vibe to match your needs somewhere around another corner no matter what you look for on your trip. Shopping was excellent. The feeling of safety was consistent throughout the trip. People are friendly and common throughout the town even throughout the wee morning hours as many places do stay open quite late to always provide an option. I had said by day 1 I knew I would already come back here. Vassilis was a proactive and responsive gentleman in hosting. Truly a pleasure to deal with him and I really do hope to return for vacation. We had a wonderful, peaceful & relaxing week in this beautiful house. Amazing location, stylish, spacious, comfortable & very well-equipped. It’s 3 minutes from the small town of Sellia (3 or 4 nice traditional restaurants & small but useful supermarket), 10 minutes from the bigger (seaside town) of Plakias (many restaurants, 2 big supermarkets, butcher & baker), yet out on its own: utterly quiet & private and with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the sea. Cordula - who created this fabulous place, from ground up & with incredible attention to detail, is a perfect host. She couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful: at all stages proactive, quick & very clear communication and always concerned about our convenience & comfort. Our flight time meant we didn’t arrive until 8pm & Cordula offered to order & collect food from one of the excellent local restaurants & keep it warm in the oven, so after a long & tiring journey our holiday started straightaway. We would love to return.

Anyone who has gone on family holidays with their parents in the 90s and the next, and remembers them with nostalgia, stay here... It brought back memories of my childhood holidays. Very beautiful and simple space, with the hammocks in each apartment, the sun in the morning as it hit the grass, the smell of the morning watering, the seagulls that can be heard from afar and the whole setup made me think about it for every summer season, even a 3-day stay with my family... The apartment has the basics, and anything one thinks they will need extra, I think the host, who is excellent in terms of communication, will provide it! Thanks so much!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Manos 1 in the end of april 2025. We only found out a couple of days before going, that the pool season at the house normally starts in May (this was our own fault). The owner Manos was very kind to start the pool early for us. When we arrived he was there to greet us at the house, and incredibly kind and helpful. A couple of days after our arrival, new madresses for the beds arrived, and these were very good. Manos was very helpful with advice for the area, and on easter his mother Katerina had bought easter eggs for our children. Manos is a very kind person, and when turned out our 4 year old son had the chicken pox, he made us feel safe both with regards to maybe staying in the house, and getting medical help. All in all we felt very much at home and in very good hands, and we enjoyed the stay so much that we would consider going back.

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

Fabulous stay at Marilenas lovely property. We arrived later than planned at 0130 in morning following some delays but Marilenas husband, Kyriacos, met us to allow us into property. Extremely warm welcome and pictures don’t reflect how spacious the place is with lovely open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area with patio doors opening into the garden that really is a very private well laid out garden and pool area. Kyriacos and Marilena couldn’t be more helpful and provided great recommendations to local restaurants and beaches. Taverna Irene is a short drive away serving local Cretan dishes in a friendly family run place. Kalatha beach was where we spent a number of days relaxing and is somewhere frequented by lot of local people including Kyriacos who gets down there himself for his regular swims. Loved staying there and would highly recommend for couples or young family with small children as garden is very safe and secure. Will definitely be going back

The Villa is stunning, amazing views and a great pool. Diana met us upon arrival, and was very helpful and friendly. Amenities in the Villa were great, especially the kitchen. We were a family of 5 and hired a car for our weeks stay. Chania is beautiful with lots of restaurants and bars. Beaches were lovely, quite busy but worth the trip. Would highly recommend.

I already miss this house. It’s like a fairytale cottage. So many cute little spaces indoors and out. Character and charm! It’s old with stone steps and some low doorways, so don’t be clumsy. Our hosts were hospitable and kind. We felt right at home. There are many flowers, herbs and trees. Unforgettable.

Great accommodation with everything you need for a peaceful, isolated stay - yet in walking distance to the beautiful downtown. The house is surrounded by nature, with views to the mountain and a nice garden very well prepared to spend your evenings. The hosts are very welcoming, we felt like at home and are grateful for everything they provided for us. Very recommended, we hope to come back!

Stella was the perfect host. She was so kind and thought of everything you might need. Make sure to follow her recommendations for restaurants as they were amazing. We spent the most lovely time at Nikos place with our baby and friends. The villa is located directly by the sea with a spectacular view. We enjoyed really enjoyed our breakfasts watching the waves and listening to the ocean so much. The place is very quiet and private. Nikos is the most welcoming host and gave us great directions for the island. We can definitely recommend staying there! Thank you so much for having us.

We had a wonderful stay at Aggeliki’s place! The house was perfect — the bedroom was very spacious and filled with light, and the kitchen was clean and well-equipped. Aggeliki was an amazing host; there’s already a lot of helpful information in the Airbnb listing, and she was always quick to respond to our messages. The location was fantastic: a quiet, charming village with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Everything was within a reasonable driving distance, making it a great starting point to explore the island. There’s a small market nearby, a lovely café with a cute garden, and even a walking trail around the village with some interesting insights into its history. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this place!

Manos and Christina were very friendly and responsive. All of our questions were answered promptly. The house was a little difficult to find at night but Christina was there at check in to show us around. At the house, there were supplies like eggs, lunch meat, bread, fresh fruit, olive oil , and a bottle of wine. This was greatly appreciated as we arrived after dark and it gave us some breakfast food for the morning. We loved the sound of the waves at night lulling us to sleep! The hosts also changed the bedding and sheets after a couple of days which was extremely thoughtful and generous. The house is close to many restaurants and has a few super markets near by. Close beaches were also nice and we enjoyed the peacefulness they provided prior to the big tourist season. Lake Kournas was beautiful and only about an hour drive from the house. Having a car was nice but not entirely necessary for the house’s location. Driving in Crete can be a little daunting but doable!
