As someone who’s constantly traveling for both work and leisure, it’s rare to come across a place where everything is so well thought out that there’s nothing to comment on, in the best way. This is genuinely one of my favorite stays. The location and views are magical and the attention to detail across the property is impressive. The pool and garden were always perfectly maintained and for a mountain spot, it’s not easy to find such clear, bug-free water. The team on site was great, always helpful without being intrusive. The food at the restaurant isn’t fancy but it’s honest, home-cooked, and made with care. Thank you for everything, I’d definitely come back and already started recommending it to friends.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful, well-kept, and lovingly furnished place. Everything you need is there. The host was super friendly and gave us some good recommendations for restaurants and the surrounding area. Upon arrival, the fridge was already stocked with drinks, fruit, and other items, so there was no need to go shopping on the day of our arrival. It was a perfect stay, and we would love to come back.

Well appointed and peaceful location with views of the mountains. Beautiful garden with lots of places to sit in or out of the shade at different times of the day.

Andreas and Anna’s place was in a perfect peaceful location with beautiful views. The apartment was very clean and had all necessary amenities. Andreas provided wonderful recommendations, and was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa 1891. Alexandra‘s house is a real gem, which makes you feel at home instantly and provides a perfect escape from the stress of everyday life. The traditional old house is beautifully renovated and has kept its ancient charme, decorated with attention to detail. The house is very well equipped and has everything you need. Among oleander and olive trees, you will be sitting and relaxing on this beautiful terrace, enjoying the breathtaking view on the sea or taking a dip in the infinity pool. Alexandra was so kind and welcomed us in person with homemade pastries, local vegetables, a bottle of wine and other delicious treats. Kefalas is a beautiful little village with a couple of taverns and small shops. Everything else is just a short drive away. We stayed four nights and honestly wished we had stayed longer. We‘ll definitely come back!

Both Ioanna and Spiros were great hosts. Incredibly welcoming and responsive. Nothing was too much trouble. The villa was beautiful, the views from the pool amazing and it was easy to drive to the old town within 6 minutes. The walk to the beach was about 15-20 mins which we did once. I’d highly recommend this villa and the hosts. 😊

We had a lovely stay at Stelios Villa. Incredible beautiful surroundings, it’s a short walk into Kalyves, we didn’t realise until day 3 but there’s a small parade of beach bars and restaurants if you walk a bit further than we had been for first 2 days. The stay was lovely, the house was beautiful. We really enjoyed the village and it’s relatively slow pace. Stelios was very responsive to messages and very helpful too.

We traveled with friends and babies (a total of 4 adults and 2 babies (8&10 months old)) to the villa to Savas & Maria and the villa was fantastically beautiful (even more beautiful than in the photos)! For our tour group, the villa was just perfect, we had our peace, could relax and the children had enough space to play on the giant terrace. Savas & Maria kindly provided everything necessary for our kids (crib, baby chairs, a small inflatable pool and plenty of toys). Cleanliness is very important in the villa, the villa was handed over to us in perfect condition! The villa was rounded off in the evening by the overwhelming sunsets! Savas & Maria were extremely communicative, gave us great recommendations and were always available! We would like to express our sincere thanks again for your warmth, hospitality and a fantastic stay! If we come back to Crete, we'll come back to you!

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! Our fourth trip to Crete and the wonderful villa. As always, we had a fabulous time and loved our stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful villa! The house is truly luxurious, in perfect condition, and tastefully designed with great attention to detail. The layout of the rooms is simply brilliant — spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The heated pool was one of our favorite features — always at the perfect temperature to cool down and unwind at any time of the day. The location couldn’t be better: just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, where you’ll find plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and shops. A very special thank you to our amazing hosts! They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always just a message away. Every little question or request was answered within minutes — we felt truly taken care of from the very first moment. We can highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect holiday on Crete. We would love to come back anytime! Thank you so much, Eleni&Georgios!

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

We cannot have asked for a better place to stay in Chania. The house is a gorgeous villa perfect for a large family vacation. The location is on a breathtaking hill overlooking the city and old Harbor. There are tons of windows letting in natural light. You can be an old town in eight minutes by car or about 45 minutes walking. There are plenty of local mini markets and restaurants nearby. Michalis was a model host, and gave us plenty of recommendations for day trips, restaurants, treats, activities, and gave us very kind gifts throughout our stay. If we ever return to Crete, we will be staying here again!

The photos don't really do this properly justice. The setting is truly amazing, it's a comfortable space. We had an amazing time. Fit and finish on a few things could be dealt with but very minor things that didn't cause any trouble with our stay. The cleaners came to empty bins and change sheets regularly. You will definitely need a car to get to and from the property.

We had a great time. The hosts were very responsive and always keen to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The villa is in a great location close to the local town which has a number of good tavernas. Plenty of places to sit and relax outside and enjoy the great view.

This is a spectacular villa and easily matches the photos. One unexpected feature was that one of the two pools was shallow for the kids. That meant they could stand by themselves and they would play in it all day. The adults loved just lying in it too! Nikos was a great host. He welcomed us on to the property and was extremely responsive with our questions. He even delivered extra pool toys and Greek treats during our stay. The area is very private with a short drive to supermarkets and some classic waterfront restaurants. It’s also convenient to get to Chania airport. We loved our stay here as two families, it exceeded our expectations and would strongly recommend.

Regarding price. We have been 2 person. For this it’s quite expensive. For 6 like it’s available, price is good.

we spent a week in this villa. it is perfectly equipped, clean, modern. the heated and large pool is very pleasant. it is 10 minutes from kissamos. The host was very helpful and responsive from the beginning to the end of the stay.

Where do I begin… my family and I were dreading check out. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The accommodations were phenomenal, everyone felt at home. We woke up to a beautiful sea view every morning and perfect weather. The stay was truly top of the line. Everything we needed was provided and Nikos made us feel very welcome. We cannot wait to return.

What can i say to sum up our stay, absolutely spot on, George made contact with me just after the plane landed asking our arrival time, Clair, Georges wife greeted us at the villa and ran through the usual.(very helpful) Also the cleaner was very attentive to our needs. The village itself was just a 5 minute walk up a slight hill. we found a local bar and restaurant, a small mini market and a slightly larger mini market. The food and hospitality from both the bar and restaurant were very good. We spoke to a few ex pats and gained good information of places to visit and eat around the area. We also got introduced to Paulos local taxi driver, Paulos was at our beck and call all holiday (Family of 6 so a 9 seater taxi) He drove us to various locations even sorting out a breakfast for us one morning with a view looking over the sea. (what a top bloke) I can highly recommend a stay at Ayla villa to chill out for the week. Thank you George and Clair
