Woodstock Cottage, Settle, Yorkshire Dales

ScottRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We enjoyed our stay, Woodstock Cottage is a lovely little place that it is well kept and maintained by the host. Super easy check-in, parking nearby, it was clean and tidy on arrival, had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, and a good selection of board games. Settle itself is a nice town, has a decent amount of shops and cafes, its well located and it was easy to get to most places in the area we wanted to go. The local Chinese isn't bad either. Would recommend the cottage/Kate/Settle to anyone.

Smith Cottage in Appletreewick sleeps two

RuthRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Situated in a perfect spot for beautiful walking from the village, Smiths cottage is warm and cosy, a generous size for two, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you need. There is ample parking and a pretty garden and patio with wonderful views of Wharfedale. You can stroll to two pubs- we had a delicious traditional steak and ale pie at the Craven Arms. There is a useful friendly basic supplies shop at the nearby campsite, which also has a little cafe and ice cream spot. We walked to Burnsall and Hebden along the River Wharfe on our first day- glorious scenery and bird song all around. The climb up behind the Craven Arms over the hills to Troller’s Gill and through the valley to Skyreholme was well worth the effort for the vistas and for a visit to the fabulous Parcevall Hall Gardens, with its Love Brownies tea room for refreshment before the walk back along the River Wharfe via Howgills to the cottage. Sunny weather too! God’s own country indeed. Thank you Lorren.

'Hoglet House' central Skipton in quiet cul-de-sac

TrudiRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a wonderful stay at Hoglet House. Hannah was a brilliant host and responded really quickly. The house was so well equipped, Hannah had thought of everything, and the welcome goodies and flowers in the house were such a lovely touch. The house information booklet was the best I’ve ever seen - the nespresso coffee guide and detailed cafe/restaurant guide were great! The cul de sac the house was on was super quiet and a really short walk into Skipton, and was also ideally located for exploring the wider area. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Central Malham Wellbeing Escape Sleeps 2 Hot Tub

DougRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A great cottage stay in Malham. It was perfect for what we needed…an escape to the countryside to unwind and relax. The cottage was instantly welcoming - cosy yet spacious with careful consideration to the colours and furnishings. The hot tub gets cleaned after every stay, and we were gifted some welcome treats which was a great touch. We did indulge in some Yoga which was helpfully arranged by Jonathan, and it was idyllic. A lot of care and attention to detail has been made with this place, and we will be back. Thank you to Jonathan and Natalie for being the perfect hosts. I can’t sign off this review without mentioning the loveliest flock of chickens that quite literally race to say hello…or for food.

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top

NicolaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I would rate the Chicken Shed as outstanding! The location, presentation of the property, information provided by the owners before the stay and within a guide provided were all fabulous. It felt like a real 5*stay. We were aware it was up a steep track and we enjoy walking so it was no issues. We also had no problems getting a taxi to and from Clitheroe. On the first night we walked to the Calfs Head in Worston via lanes and footpaths. It took about 45 minutes. It was a traditional pub menu and the food was great with really good service. We walked up Pendle hill and went up via the steep hill behind chicken shed. It was the shortest way up but it is very very steep. The views at the top were worth the effort. There are easier ways up though! It's just a beautiful, beautiful place to visit with everything very thoughtfully considered. I do hope we can go back at some point.

Charming cottage in Giggleswick

ChristopherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A great cottage overlooking the church, with a pub 1 minute walk away (which serves a great Sunday lunch). It is an easy 10 minute walk to the cafes and shops in the centre of Settle. The rooms are surprisingly large (with a super king sized main bedroom) and well furnished. The kitchen has all you need. And being set back from the road it was very quiet. If being picky the bathroom is a little dated, but is functional with a nice hot over the bath shower. Also the gateway to the car parking area is a little tight for larger cars (especially when coming back out), with the parking area itself being spacious and 30 seconds from the cottage. We would definitely stay here again.

Orchard Nook cottage Barnoldswick

SueRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Small but lovely! Melanie has added helpful notes around the house, and also has a policy of leaving useful things left by others for future guests, which I approve of (eg some herbs and spices, also some toiletries). The house does not have a fab view - it is tucked behind other houses - but it's right in the middle of town, and is great value.
