Villa holiday rentals in Koggala Lake

We had a wonderful week at Mandaram Villa with warm hospitality, a gorgeous quiet garden, spacious airy rooms, an awesome outdoor shower, and delicious homemade food. The hosts were incredible, the house was comfortable, and Darasan took excellent care of us, driving our family of 4 around to every beach and site we wanted to visit. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

We (family with a 3y old) stayed at the villa for one month and it was truly a great stay. We felt at home from the first day on when Nulush and Mudeka received us with an amazing curry. The Villa is located in a quit local area with some stores with basic stuff in walking distance. . The main bedroom with aircon is fantastic and includes a desk which is good for working. The living area is comfortable and the garden outside the villa with its lush green is always a highlight to look at, specially on rainy days. Monkeys come visit all the time, including some mongoose, warans, many birds. The outdoor shower was a highlight for me. A big Thank goes to Nilush and Mudeka and as well the owners for being always so responsive and helpful during a our stay. Nilush helped me even to organize a Tuktuk which we used during all our stay. The cooking class was a great experience as well and the food delicious. We would definitely recommend this villa.

We loved our stay at this Airbnb! The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk to beautiful beaches and surrounded by amazing local cafes. Every morning started with a great coffee and a stroll along the shore, which made the trip feel extra special. The neighborhood was vibrant yet peaceful, with everything we needed just around the corner. The place itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was friendly, responsive, and gave great recommendations for places to eat and explore. Would 100% stay here again!

The villa was beautiful! We booked it last minute on the same day of our stay and the host was very helpful and responsive. The house manager Harsha was the best! He was very nice and friendly, he cooked for us probably the best dinner we’ve had in Sri Lanka and in the morning he got fresh eggs and fruits and made us a great breakfast! Definitely recommend staying here!

Loved our stay at Villa Sepalika! The location is amazing - an oasis of calm and green with the odd peacock and monkey to add to the tropical holiday! The pool is outstanding and the lawn is great for games (if you can tear yourself away from the beautiful big verandah!). The staff were lovely - they made sure we had everything we needed and the cook was superb! Thank you for a lovely stay and we look forward to the next time!

Eliya Villa was an absolute gem. Direct beach access made every moment feel like a dream, calm, golden, and just breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and always available, helping us with cooking, arranging transport, and making sure we had everything we needed. Their warmth really made the stay special. The villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and so peaceful, felt instantly relaxed and at home. Waking up to the sound of waves, sipping coffee by the beach. It was pure magic. Would definitely come back.

This is a fantastic house located inside the walls of the fort with a beatiful view of the waves and sunsets. The house is completely renovated to a very high standard and is kept spotlessly clean by Nissanka and Dammika. They were always at hand when we needed anything and also cooked up excellent western style or sri lankan style breakfast. There is even a pool in the livingroom. A serene place, and yet lots of restaurants and attractions just metres from the gated door. Very impressive place and also very easy to communicate with Colleen, the owner of the property.

Fantastic apartment to stay in - it’s beautiful, peaceful and a fantastic place to relax. The host you meet, Rohan, is a lovely man who always has a smile on your face, and makes sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We loved the outside area to relax, and the rooms + en-suites are immaculate and very comfortable. Probably the best AirBnB experience I’ve had to date, and was the highlight accommodation wise of my families trip to Sri Lanka

Just... wow! We felt truely blessed with the opportunity to stay here. The pictures really don't do the view and villa justice, it's a really remarkable find and absolutely stay here if you get the chance. Sonali and her family are wonderful people, who really made the stay. Sonali's cooking was wonderful, lots of dishes each evening that were so tasty and taking the time to go through the menu with us is really thoughtful and made sure we enjoyed everything. Lesley and Ken have truely thought of everything, there's not a single thing missing and nothing to be improved on. We went out easily on tuk tuks to visit surrounding areas, only to return to absolute bliss with a dip in the warm infinity pool. We even took a little boat ride around the lake from the dock at the end of the garden that Sonali organised for us. This place is a true gem, and we felt so lucky to be able to stay here - just try and stop us visting again!

Our stay at The Dragonfly Villa was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in a sense of calm and beauty that only a place like this can offer. The villa is simply breathtaking — elegantly designed with stunning details, lush surroundings, and peaceful spaces that made it a true escape. A standout highlight was the exceptional cuisine lovingly prepared by Nayana. Each dish she created was bursting with flavour — fresh, comforting, and unforgettable. Every mealtime became a moment we looked forward to. Equally wonderful was the gracious hospitality of Ushan, who was always there with a warm smile, ready to assist with anything we needed - reservations, recommendations, or simply answering our many questions with patience and kindness. His presence made everything smooth and enjoyable. The Dragonfly Villa exceeded all expectations. Every person we encountered went out of their way to make our family trip very special. We left feeling so lucky and grateful

We had a truly beautiful and relaxing stay. Kavinda our host went above and beyond for us, and the chef’s cooking was absolutely perfect—they even shopped for all the ingredients! The villa’s rustic charm made it feel extra special. Though the beach hut had some weather damage, Buddika let us know in advance and kindly offered a BBQ, which was such a thoughtful touch. Sadly, we were involved in a serious accident on our way to the airport, but even from abroad, Buddika supported us incredibly—liaising with Etihad and sending her husband to visit us. Despite the unfortunate end, our stay was truly wonderful, and we highly recommend it.

Clare’s place was everything & more than what we were expecting. The villa is absolutely beautiful, set in the most peaceful & tranquil surroundings. Nuwan’s cooking and hosting was the cherry on the top of our experience. Tushara also really looked after us. We were able to organise 3 private yoga classes & a massage - personal highlights of my stay at the villa. All of the above meant that whenever we left the villa, we wanted to get back straight away to our private paradise even though Ahangama is a great area to visit. Highly recommend staying and experiencing the beauty of Villa Sisila!!

Such a beautiful place with peaceful waterfront location, we stayed with a big group of 29 adults and south point villa and south point ocean was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. We had a great time swimming in the pools and the ocean, taking sunset walks on the beach. The staff are lovely and work tirelessly to meet our needs, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning next year.

Stunning property, great staff and fabulous food.. couldn’t ask for more.. located a 10 minute walk from ahangama secret beach, Tim’s place is a paradise.. lush green surroundings, peaceful, a massive pool and cheerful, friendly staff… we hope to visit Bayagima again in the near future.. thanks again for hosting us the last night Tim!!!

Amazing place, location, staff! Would love to return again. Everyone was super accommodating with requests for little children. The chef cooked us amazing meals, the other staff helped with various requests and always greeted us with big smiles.

What a wonderful experience! Dom was an outstanding host, always quick to respond and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The birthday cake was a lovely touch. Thank you for an unforgettable stay! ☺️

Surrounded by beautiful trees, lush vegetation and fascinating widlife, this place is the ideal spot for a relaxed, tranquil getaway. We had very poor weather while we were here so didn't get to enjoy the outside space as much as we could have. The best part about this place is Manoj and his team that run the place, we had beautiful cooked breakfasts and seafood lunches while we were here, and Manoj helped us with shopping, transportation around the local area and our ongoing transfer to Colombo. The owner also deserves credit, for being so approachable, easy to contact and proactive in resolving issues.

Wir haben vier Tage in der Villa Sõmar verbracht und sind vollkommen zufrieden. Die Villa ist geräumig, sehr sauber und genau wie in der Beschreibung. Morgens gibt’s ein leckeres Frühstück von zwei sehr lieben Angestellten serviert. Die sri lankanischen Bananen Pancakes sind sehr zu empfehlen. Desweiteren bekommt man vor der Anreise eine sehr ausführliche Nachricht in welcher unter anderem viele Restaurant Empfehlungen, Strände in der Nähe und sogar Nummern von zwei Tuk tuk Fahrern stehen. Die Lage ist in Ordnung und man kann alles mit dem tuk tuk oder einem Roller erreichen. Alles in allem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Super mooie en nieuwe villa, op loopafstand van het centrum van mirissa. Het is het meest luxe verblijf waar we tijdens onze reis hebben gezeten. Het was ontzettend schoon en het privé zwembad was top! Je hebt zelfs een buiten toilet en douche. Daarnaast is er altijd iemand aanwezig als je vragen hebt. Wij zaten er met zn tweeën, maar je kan er met twee stellen verblijven, waarbij je ook nog genoeg privacy hebt. Ik kan het zeker aanraden.

Omg! What a place. Lasantha is super responsive the stay is absolutely amazing! The pool is amazing! Lasantha has maintained and carefully designed the house. Smart house actually!

Very difficult to put into words how wonderful the villa is. Very easy to find, great welcome, kitchen well stocked. 3 big bedrooms; 2 with outside showers. The housekeepers really make the stay. They prepare breakfast each morning to be eaten outside by the pool. They will also cook dinner if required, which, frankly was the best food we ate in Sri Lanka. The pool is lovely and in shade. In fact I’d say the property and experience is better than described. 10 mins by the gardeners tuk tuk to Mirissa Beach and restaurants. Thank you!

Wir hatten eine absolut traumhafte Zeit in der Villa Sunnavind! Die Villa selbst ist wunderschön eingerichtet – mit viel Liebe zum Detail, stilvoll, geräumig und gleichzeitig unglaublich gemütlich. Der Pool war ein absolutes Highlight, perfekt zum Entspannen in der tropischen Wärme. Der Service war außergewöhnlich! Villa-Manager Rajesh hat sich um alles gekümmert und jeden Wunsch möglich gemacht – besser geht es wirklich nicht. Ein riesiges Dankeschön auch an Sriana und Luckmali, die jeden Morgen ein leckeres Frühstück gezaubert, das Haus in einem perfekten Zustand gehalten und uns jeden Tag so herzlich umsorgt haben. Und der Chefkoch war eine kulinarische Offenbarung – das Essen war so gut, dass wir gar nicht erst auswärts essen wollten. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen, Loslassen und Genießen. Wir wären am liebsten geblieben. Absolute Empfehlung – wir kommen definitiv wieder!

A fabulous stay along the coast and a highlight of our 3 weeks in the country. The place is an easy tuk tuk or moped into town. Very responsive host - easy to communicate with and nothing was a problem. The pool an added bonus for our kids who enjoyed that and the monkeys that were often nearby. Loved the daily housekeeping, and the place is well staffed and professionally run with security etc. Private from other villas on site. Would 100% stay again if back in Sri Lanka.

Words cannot describe how perfect our stay was. Sharmini was a fantastic host, even before we got there. She was quick to answer my many questions about the villa, the local area and sharing details of companies that could collect our large party of 12 from the airport. Even calling them on my behalf when they didn't respond to my messages. The photos of the villa don't do it justice. The rooms are all a fantastic size, beds and pillows comfy and the bathrooms are wonderful. The location on the beach was just perfect. We were 3 families with 6 children between 2 and 8 and we all spent our time running from beach to pool l. Idilic. But the standout feature of the villa is the fabulous and dedicated staff. Dilu, Milan and Bandu. Dilu could not do enough for us and was on hand, yet discreet. Milan! Well his cooking is easily the best I've had in Sri Lanka. He cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for all of us every night catering for us all! Our villa stay was perfect in every way!
