Pet-friendly holiday rentals in La Jolla, San Diego

Paul and Amy's place is just as described - a big backyard with plenty of space for dogs to run around, spa amenities, and a comfortable interior. I ran the SD marathon, so it was nice having the spa treatment there. The area is nice and walkable, with restaurants nearby by car. Would stay again!

We had a lovely few days at the apartment. Location is great as walkable to Bird Rock and La Jolla and the gorgeous Windansea beach is at the end of the road. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped with extras such as beach towels. We had lots of use out of the roof terrace and hot tub and enjoyed the quiet residential location. Although you can walk to a few local places, a car is definitely recommended. Worth noting that the car parking space is located behind the property on a separate lane.

Great location and very well kept. Beach bungalow/ cabin vibe. Walking distance to anything and everything around Ocean Beach, which is so fun and lively but still peaceful! The cliffs down the road are a bit dangerous and windy but with the right shoes, so worth the views. We didn’t realize the hot tub was shared with 2 other units on the property but we got lucky and had no trouble using it when others weren’t and barely noticed our neighbors- they were very quiet. Owners were great and responded within seconds!

We had a great stay! Perfect location for going to the beach and access to lots of shops and restaurants in the Pacific Beach area. Yard was spacious and great for our dog.

We really enjoyed our stay! The casita was clean, nicely decorated, and had a great yard for our dog. The home was close to beaches, restaurants, and everything we wanted to do. We appreciated the driveway parking and the fact that Alex was easy to communicate with and allowed us to check in early. The airplane noise is noticeable so I’d recommend headphones/ear plugs to get to sleep. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This is such a gem located just a few blocks from Ocean Beach. You can’t beat the price/location. We didn’t have to move our car all weekend, everything we needed was walking distance to Edwin’s place.

Nick's place was amazing. It was walking distance to the beach and plenty of excellent food options. The home was clean and spacious. We had 4 adults and 3 children, and there was plenty of space. Nick was kind and very accommodating.

Diego’s place was perfect for our San Diego trip. We booked just two days before arrival due to a complication with the original place we booked and Diego was immediately so responsive. The backyard was great for the kids-they loved the hot tub and being able to eat out there. It was exactly as described and had everything we needed. There is a surfing beach a few blocks away and took us about 7 minutes to walk to with a six year old. It does back up to what appears to be an identical property as others have mentioned, but this was not an issue and even when they had a small party, it was not disruptive to us. The location is great-we rented a car and drove to sea world, the zoo, Torrey pines, the beach, etc., and it was never more than about a 20 min drive. We could walk down to some of the restaurants in pacific beach (12 min walk with kids) and have dinner or ice cream. I would absolutely recommend this place!

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

Anthony’s apartment was just what I needed for my adult son and me. 2 twin beds in the living room worked well as another bedroom without the cost of a 2 bedroom. The kitchen is small but had all we needed to make bfast in the mornings. Helpful to have a parking spot in back and washer dryer in unit. I really enjoyed the location next to an urban park, pretty neighborhood for walks, and short walk to restaurants and coffee shop. Anthony was super helpful when we arrived.

We needed a place for 3 adults Sydnie’s place was so great from the first time I messaged Sydnie she helped me with local recommendation’s for restaurants/groceries/stores she sent me all the info I messed to make our stay wonderful. The house was everything that was shown. I would recommend anyone to stay here and will definitely will be back.

Vivian and John‘s cottage was a perfect place for a three day stay. Very peaceful and calm with beautiful surroundings and close to everything I needed to get to. I would love to come back at some point.

This was the perfect place for our family to celebrate some exciting milestones. From the second we arrived we felt welcome and at home. We loved all of the animals and their funny antics and even got to see some newborn baby bunnies! Heather was an incredible host — among the best — and was very responsive to our requests to use all of the wonderful amenities and Angela was intentional in getting it ready for us. If you’re looking for a cozy, quirky, impeccably decorated, modern yet perfectly rustic place in which to hide away from the day to day, The Tipsy Goat Ranch is where you want to be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved staying at Wil’s place. The place was amazing, cozy and everything we wanted for our family. We loved the aesthetic, and the pool was so fun to play in. It was quiet but close to everything we wanted to do, so it was the perfect place to come back to after a long day out. The host and hostess were amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. We can’t wait to visit again.

Adorable little casita walkable to the cove. Clean and well stocked. Responsive host. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint is parking - street parking only in a very busy area so we had to park a few blocks away. Not a big deal for us but may be a consideration for those with mobility limitations or children.

Quaint clean place! Short walk to the gorgeous beach and restaurants! Any questions were quickly and politely answered! Anything you needed was there! I definitely recommend the Blue Sky!

Lynn’s place was perfect. Cute little cottage with an AMAZING unobstructed ocean view. Very relaxing and lots of comfortable deck space to be outside. Lynn was great. I messaged her and asked if they had binoculars. That night Amazon delivered binoculars which were a great addition! Kit and Tyler were very fun and friendly hosts. Made us feel like they were long time neighbors while being unobtrusive. We stay in Encinitas every year and we will definitely look to return to this home.

Had a fantastic girls' weekend in La Jolla! There are tons of restaurants and businesses within a few minutes' walk and the beach is only about a 10 minutes' walk away.

We loved our stay here! The location is incredible, very easy walk to the beach and surrounding restaurants. The house and outside living space was very comfortable even with two kids. We had everything we needed, and everything was labeled and easy to find. Hosts were very helpful and responsive. We would 100% stay here again.

This air b and b was one of the best I have ever stayed at! The owner was great and very clear in communications. The house has everything we needed. The beach down the street was amazing! We loved walking to beautiful down LaJolla. Parking outside the home was super easy! I can’t say enough great things. If we are ever back in LJ, this would be our 1st choice of places to stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property, especially since we stayed a week. We went to the beach everyday , walked to all the beaches and cafes in La Jolla, and were able to experience what it felt to live in La Jolla. The Airbnb location was great, felt very safe, and a 10 min walk to the nearest beach. Very very CLEAN, from the bathroom to the bedsheets, kitchen, couch, everything felt so clean. Wonderful patio with grill and heaters. Finally, the washer drier was SOOO useful, especially for a beach stay. We will most likely be booking this Airbnb on our next trip to San Diego.

2 couples and an adult child stayed for a week, and everything was great. Tremendous views, comfortable beds, fully-equipped kitchen, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Easy (and early) check-in, and easy-to-follow check-out instructions, very clean overall. The only downsides to mention are really not about the place, but more the location and La Jolla in general. It's on a steep, curved road, so pulling in and out of the driveway is a bit tricky, and grocery stores are a 15-20 min drive away, with sometimes heavy traffic. But once you're there, it's terrific! Thanks for a great stay!
