Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Lake Macquarie

Great place and location for a group base to explore the Hunter valley. Relaxing and easy to stay. Good amenities and well appointed house.

We had a lovely and peaceful stay at The Tree House. We also saw lots of wild animals, including black cockatoos and wild deer on our busy walk nearby.

Great place, exactly as described. It accommodated our group of 8 who visited the Hunter Valley for a golf trip. Checking in was seamless, the host was responsive and always checking in on us to make sure we were taken care of. Will 100% recommend to any friends and family visiting the Hunter Valley region.

Loved the house. The layout was perfect. Bedrooms not close together, 2 bathrooms, everything elese in between. The views are stunning. Love having cows, horses and sheep roaming close. Loved it.

This is the second time we’ve visited Paul’s place and hopefully they’ll be another. It’s a quintessential Australian coast house, full of character and warmth. The beach is across the road and you fall asleep with the sound of the ocean. Heaven! Great back yard, everything you need and Paul is a 10 out of 10 host!

We loved our stay. Patricia’s place is the perfect little lake house with a very quaint appeal and everything you could need for a relaxing and peaceful stay. We loved sitting on the deck watching the sunrise and enjoying the lake, will be back.

we stayed at Villa Nessa for a bucks weekend with 14 guys, and it was absolutely perfect. The house was immaculate, spacious, and felt more like a home than a rental. There were plenty of comfortable beds, large living areas, and a fully equipped kitchen that made group meals easy. The spa was a standout feature—hot, clean, and ideal for relaxing after a long day. The location was quiet and peaceful, yet still close to everything we needed. Although we didn’t meet Vanessa in person, she was an exceptional host. Her communication was prompt, polite, and super helpful from start to finish. She made everything smooth and stress-free, even with a large group. It’s clear she puts a lot of care into making the home welcoming and comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our mate’s upcoming wedding. Highly recommended to any group looking for a clean, relaxing, and well-managed stay. Would definitely return to Villa Nessa

Very well positioned and maintained property. Easy to find, check in was simple and the whole place was spotless. It was very convenient place to stay. Lovely to sit on the front covered verandah and look out on the lake.

Beautiful big apartment. Reminded me a bit of an old Queenslander with mod cons. Lots of charm. Wish we could of stayed longer.

Beachousesix was very well appointed with amazing ocean views. It was clean, quiet & within around a 10 minute walk to restaurants & shops. There was plenty of street parking also. I would love to stay here again if in Terrigal. Thanks Tim

Really cool apartment with lots of groovy, artsy decorations. Great for couples. Right next to the beach with some fantastic cafes.

Absolutely magical stay at Mount View! The views were breathtaking, the atmosphere peaceful, and every little detail made our stay feel extra special. We loved the Bond House apartment. Despite the unusual access across the park it was well worth it once inside. Eclectic stylishly furnished spacious apartment well located for East Newcastle. A well stocked larder and great laundry space if you need it. Bathrooms very modern with heated towel rails and big fluffy towels! Beds very comfy too

A wonderful spot for our extended family getaway in beautiful Pearl Beach. The Pavilions is 5 stars all the way - beautiful location, super comfortable, squeaky clean and everything you need at your fingertips, including a brilliant kitchen for cooking and entertaining. We lazed by the open fire by night, and spent our days lying in the winter sun on the deck and north facing backyard. It’s a short stroll to the beach and many other beautiful walking spots and scenic vantage points too. Highly recommend.

Matt’s place was incredible. We stayed there for 2 nights for a girls weekend getaway. We loved the property so much that we skipped some of our scheduled wine tastings to sit around the cozy fireplace, watch the spectacular sunsets and enjoy the 360 degree views from every angle. This property has everything you could need, including very clearly labeled instructions for how to use the various appliances/speakers/fireplace etc. The kitchen is completely stocked, there’s no shortage of cleaning supplies, firewood, tea, coffee, and everything you need to make your stay a memorable and seamless one. Matt was very responsive, helpful, and a joy to communicate with. We will definitely be back. Couldn’t recommend Among The Vines more highly. If I could give this more than five stars, I would. Gorgeous spot for a getaway from the city. Close to everything in the Hunter, but well away from everything and everyone. Super easy to find and get there, check-in/out was a breeze. All the information you need is provided. Great amenities especially in the kitchen. Accomodation is a beautiful space indoors and out. Amazing afternoon walks around the property. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay! We found the property to be exactly what we were looking for, a nice getaway that made you feel disconnected and relaxed. The property is set up perfectly to bring your dog, with the secure area around the villa that allows them to explore without worry. Zoe the resident dog is also great host and very welcoming, she would come a visit each day to make sure that we were comfortable. She was very friendly and got along well with our dog, she even came along with us for one of our walks and showed us the way. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying here. We hope to return one day, thankyou Kylie for being a great host!
