Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Malone

We absolutely loved our stay at Shagbark. Stacy was a tremendous hostess, proactive and responsive. They neighbors and neighborhood really made the trip a little more special. The home was immaculate with plenty of seating. The linens were super soft and beds comfy!

Sami and Jason’s house was beautiful and exactly what we needed for our girls weekend! The private dock is what we were hoping for, for swimming and enjoying the sunset on our last night. It rained some but the house and hot tub were cozy and there was plenty for us to do. Including enjoying a Disney movie on the comfy couch! Being from Ky, I have never heard of this lake and it seems like we found a hidden gem!

We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful place! The house was equipped with everything we needed to feel comfortable, which made our stay so enjoyable. One of our favorite moments was watching the sunrise and sunset—absolutely breathtaking! The peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature helped us reconnect and truly relax. Kim is the best host! She is quick with communication and handled all questions and concerns. She provided recommendations for things to do and places to eat. She messaged to check on us during our stay. We have stayed at this property years ago and we were excited to come back. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We had everything we needed during our stay. We will definitely be back!

I absolutely loved staying in this cozy A-frame cabin. It was decorated in a mid-century modern motif and had such a cool vibe. The bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning! The cabin is right on the water, close to the resort and includes all the features and amenities you could want - firepit, hammock, kayaks. The hosts were amazing and super responsive. I cannot say enough nice things about my stay; I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip! Thank you!!

Truly beautiful location. Peaceful and quiet. My husband and grandsons had a wonderful time fishing in the private lake. It was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind.

Thank you for sharing your cabin!!! Joshua was an excellent host. The house was exactly as described. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed an early birthday getaway with beautiful sunrise and sunsets on the lake. We loved using the kayaks to get around the lake and for fishing. Even though it rained, we didn't let it ruin our trip. It was so relaxing and peaceful whether sitting by the fire pit each night or sitting on the deck with coffee in the mornings. We will be backing again soon at Your Humble Abode!!! Definitely recommend

We love love love the peaceful getaway experience this cabin brings, plus with it being so close to the park we got to walk down and see the lake frequently. Definitely enjoy my stay!

We really enjoyed our stay once again. My family returned for a second visit to Wendy's listing almost a year later to the day. This time the weather was impacted by a tropical storm "Francine" and the local event we had hoped for was cancelled. Wendy and Steve were so kind as to keep the pontoon rental we hoped for available for us if the weather turned and we were able to get a day in on the lake. Even experiencing a power outage our hosts reached out to us checking in on us and ensuring we were alright and if we needed anything, As they say, "you can always pick your dates, but you can never pick your weather". That said, our family still enjoyed our time once again. All possible by a great location the property has on the lake, big space allowed us to feel really comfortable when kept inside and our gracious, kind and thoughtful hosts.

Everything was beautiful from the rooms to the bathrooms. Came with almost any supplies you needed to cook with including spices tinfoil eggs and even a few beers. I would recommend this to anyone and looking forward to renting again on our next family visit. The team answered all our calls and made sure our stay was one to remember. 5 stars is an under statement. Ifbi could give it a 6 star i would

We had an excellent time! Everything was beautiful. SO many extra’s you normally don’t see in a stay! The place looks even better in person! Andrew was super responsive and so accommodating. We most definitely will be back !
