Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Mendota

The building is very cute. We arrived late but check in was easy and William is responsive on whatever we need. Unfortunately, there were a few things missing from what described but William was able to rectify it quickly. It is quite peaceful and great place to come with our pets. We saw some deers and lots of birds. Only 12 minutes drive to Lake Geneva which also provided lots of walking area with our pups.

One of the things I really appreciated was how proactive Mark was in his communications. He reached out before, during and at the end of our stay. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, the well-stocked kitchen and grilling out on the patio. We also appreciated having a queen in each bedroom. Mark gave us some good recommendations for nearby restaurants. The house was conveniently located and the neighborhood felt very safe. Would definitely recommend!

Kevin was a great host! And the location was simply spectacular. Exceptionally clean house, included all and more of the amenities needed for our stay, and to top it all a great, peacefull and accesible neighboorhood. Made our Wisconsin stay amazing!

We had a great stay at Lexi’s place. The view is great and the house had everything we needed to make ourselves at home for the week. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Great place by the lake. Close to Chicago for a day trip and great restaurants nearby. The home was well equipped with what we needed and the hot tub was a perfect temperature for the chilly evenings. Zan was a responsive host and we had no issues throughout our stay. The beds and couches were comfy and clean. Would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing stay at the Tailor House. The place was spotless and stylish. The perfect getaway. Colin was super communicative. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location and view were lovely and quiet. We especially enjoyed the wildlife from the deck and the hot tub! We even had a bald eagle visit for a couple of hours on the sandbar right in front of us. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. A very relaxing weekend!!

House was very nice, and well kept. Enjoyed the coffee bar and snacks! It should be known its a short walk to 2 great restaurants/bars. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house.

Another wonderful stay! This was our second year booking this amazing getaway home, and it was just as perfect as we remembered. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The location is unbeatable, and the hosts are always a pleasure to communicate with. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

Brian and Jonny were very responsive and communicative from beginning to end. It was a last minute trip and we were lucky to find a pet friendly place during the start of the summer season. The house was clean, cozy and close to walking trails. Although we did not take advantage of the outdoor grill or hot tub (they have a wood burning fireplace for the winter), we enjoyed the screened in porch and open concept layout of the house, as pictured in the profile. The house is situated between two other houses blocked somewhat by the trees. I would describe as semi-private where we could see their back patio/hot tub/fire pit and vice versa. But whatever your personal comfort level, you can’t beat the proximity to trails, Owners Club, and easy access to Hwy 20 to Galena! We enjoyed our stay and exploring!

We had a wonderful stay! Doreen was always in communication making sure we had everything we needed. Our family of 5 was looking to getaway for a few days and this was a great place for it! The home was clean and cozy with lots of thoughtful touches throughout to make us feel welcome. We got to enjoy the amenities at the club house, and were just close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants and shops. My kids want to come back already!

Joel’s place was absolutely beautiful! It was secluded and peaceful but also very close to down town. I loved drinking my coffee outside in the mornings it was so peaceful! I’d recommend Joel’s air bnb to anyone wanting to travel to galena. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Joel was a great host. He gave us all the information and checked In on us throughout our stay. We had a great time!

We had a really wonderful stay here over Memorial Day weekend. My two and four year old loved the toys and the movie screen (our daughter cried when we left). My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch. We’ve been to Galena now many times and this was our favorite place we’ve stayed at yet!

This is the most beautiful and comfortable airbnb We have stayed in a rural area! the house is pristine, full of beautiful decorations and details, everything worked well, the full kitchen was a dream, the fire pit the surroundings, everything was incredible! We had a great conversation with Jeff about the magnificent new project :the barn across the street! Our family and gos had a wonderful and peaceful time! We hope to be back at another time! We stayed as a family of 3, with a preschool child, visiting friends who lived in the area. We loved having plenty of clean, private space for our family. the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and checkout instructions were simple. Everything was exactly as described and omghe host was friendly and responsive to any questions!

Alexander's flat in Madison was perfect for our stay. Right downtown, a stone's throw from the capital, and about a mile from the heart of the UW campus, this home was fantastic with a beautiful view of Lake Mendota. The best part of the experience was how easy it was to work with Alexander. He was very responsive to every question, he was proactive about giving us information needed for an easy and comfortable stay, and he was extremely thorough in the information needed about checking in and out of the apartment. Kevin was a great host! He welcomed us with a nice gift as a welcome to Wisconsin. He was communicating well with us on the trip. The place was beautiful! It was so peaceful and very quiet. We were just a short walk to the town which was such a cute town with a great antique store and coffee shop! (You must go to the coffee shop!) The house had so many fun things to do. I personally enjoyed the basketball court the most! Many games to play and a great fire pit. The fridge was so much fun to draw on and listen to music throughout the kitchen area. If you plan on a get away trip or a short distance away from Madison I suggest you stay here!

We loved our stay at Tricia’s whimsical, boho home. The artistic, multi-level layout was perfect for celebrating my daughter’s 5th birthday weekend. The space had plenty of room, creative decor, and nostalgic touches like the Wii, which my kids loved. My daughter was able to relax with Bluey upstairs while I prepped meals and unwound after our days exploring nearby Madison. We visited the Madison botanical gardens, children’s museum, and Capitol, and enjoyed two local diners with great food and reasonable prices. A couple of great surprises made the trip even more special: Fireman’s Park across the street had an outdoor movie night (Moana 2), food trucks, a splash pad, and an updated playground. Tricia also surprised my daughter with birthday cupcakes and a gift card to Woolly’s Snack Shop, where we got ice cream on our way home. Lots of sleeping options, games, and puzzles made the home even better. Tricia was super communicative and we’d definitely stay again.

My husband, two dogs and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The point of my vacation was going somewhere we could take our dogs and this was the perfect spot to relax with them for a few days. Everything was clean and there was a perfect amount of space for us to relax. It was very quiet in the neighborhood and most of the time it felt like we were the only ones around. It was great to be able to walk to a very nice restaurant and bar a minute or two down from the cabin since we wanted to stay close. The only thing that bummed me out was we went at the end of May and the dock wasn’t put out - and I was hoping to spend time sitting out on the water. That could have been me not realizing the typical “season” but had assumed it’d be out so I recommend checking if that’s important to you :)

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property nestled on a hill in the middle of nature. The location is peaceful and scenic—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our dogs absolutely loved the wide open space to run and explore, which made the trip even more special. One of the highlights was the lovely pond on the property, full of fish and a great spot to sit by and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend this place for nature lovers and pet owners alike!
