Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Mendota

The building is very cute. We arrived late but check in was easy and William is responsive on whatever we need. Unfortunately, there were a few things missing from what described but William was able to rectify it quickly. It is quite peaceful and great place to come with our pets. We saw some deers and lots of birds. Only 12 minutes drive to Lake Geneva which also provided lots of walking area with our pups.

One of the things I really appreciated was how proactive Mark was in his communications. He reached out before, during and at the end of our stay. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, the well-stocked kitchen and grilling out on the patio. We also appreciated having a queen in each bedroom. Mark gave us some good recommendations for nearby restaurants. The house was conveniently located and the neighborhood felt very safe. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful spot to relax, close to great hiking trails. The home was comfy and had some thoughtful extras.

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

She was a great host. Was very responsive and allowed my group and I to have an early check in- she got back to us really quick and we were impressed with response time. Great location and close to the lake, only a few steps away!

We had a wonderful stay! Doreen was always in communication making sure we had everything we needed. Our family of 5 was looking to getaway for a few days and this was a great place for it! The home was clean and cozy with lots of thoughtful touches throughout to make us feel welcome. We got to enjoy the amenities at the club house, and were just close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants and shops. My kids want to come back already!

We had a great stay at Lexi’s place. The view is great and the house had everything we needed to make ourselves at home for the week. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Very clean and well maintained home. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and other utensils. Our grandkids didn’t want to leave the awesome basement!

We had originally booked 2 nights, but had such a great time and felt so at home staying at Michael's place that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. It felt so peaceful and relaxing and even the kids were begging to stay another day. Luckily it was available. Everything was very clean and we loved the style and decor of the house. The view from the balcony was beautiful and perfect for enjoying an early morning cup of coffee. The house had everything we needed for our stay with kids and dogs. The kids loved that we had access to the pool at the owners club and the dogs loved taking walks down the path by the lake. Also, Michael was very responsive throughout our stay. We had an issue with one of the TV's and within 10-15 minutes the maintenance guy was there and able to get it up and running. This place is definitely at the top of our list the next time we visit Galena!

Joan's daughter, Rebekah, communicated directly with me through the Airbnb app. She provided detailed check-in instructions, a phone number to contact her, etc. It seems Rebekah lives in Hawaii so please keep note of that for response times, etc. The house was comfortable, very clean, and well-appointed. Joan and Rebekah have a beautiful collection of original art, artifacts, etc. so please keep that in mind if you are bringing small children to the home. Please note that the 1st floor bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom; and the lower level has 2 twin beds in the open area, 1 full bed and 1 twin bed in the first bedroom, and 1 full bed and 1 futon in the second bedroom (including a full laundry and utility room in a closed room).

Brian and Jonny were very responsive and communicative from beginning to end. It was a last minute trip and we were lucky to find a pet friendly place during the start of the summer season. The house was clean, cozy and close to walking trails. Although we did not take advantage of the outdoor grill or hot tub (they have a wood burning fireplace for the winter), we enjoyed the screened in porch and open concept layout of the house, as pictured in the profile. The house is situated between two other houses blocked somewhat by the trees. I would describe as semi-private where we could see their back patio/hot tub/fire pit and vice versa. But whatever your personal comfort level, you can’t beat the proximity to trails, Owners Club, and easy access to Hwy 20 to Galena! We enjoyed our stay and exploring!

Joel’s place was absolutely beautiful! It was secluded and peaceful but also very close to down town. I loved drinking my coffee outside in the mornings it was so peaceful! I’d recommend Joel’s air bnb to anyone wanting to travel to galena. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Joel was a great host. He gave us all the information and checked In on us throughout our stay. We had a great time!

We had a really wonderful stay here over Memorial Day weekend. My two and four year old loved the toys and the movie screen (our daughter cried when we left). My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch. We’ve been to Galena now many times and this was our favorite place we’ve stayed at yet!

Debbie was very communicative before and during our stay. The property has plenty of yard room for outdoor activities and we loved that we didn’t feel stacked up against a bunch of other houses. The driveway can accommodate a group of cars and we loved the reclining couch in the basement. I’d highly recommend this property.

We stayed as a family of 3, with a preschool child, visiting friends who lived in the area. We loved having plenty of clean, private space for our family. the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and checkout instructions were simple. Everything was exactly as described and omghe host was friendly and responsive to any questions!

We loved our stay at Tricia’s whimsical, boho home. The artistic, multi-level layout was perfect for celebrating my daughter’s 5th birthday weekend. The space had plenty of room, creative decor, and nostalgic touches like the Wii, which my kids loved. My daughter was able to relax with Bluey upstairs while I prepped meals and unwound after our days exploring nearby Madison. We visited the Madison botanical gardens, children’s museum, and Capitol, and enjoyed two local diners with great food and reasonable prices. A couple of great surprises made the trip even more special: Fireman’s Park across the street had an outdoor movie night (Moana 2), food trucks, a splash pad, and an updated playground. Tricia also surprised my daughter with birthday cupcakes and a gift card to Woolly’s Snack Shop, where we got ice cream on our way home. Lots of sleeping options, games, and puzzles made the home even better. Tricia was super communicative and we’d definitely stay again.

Beautiful and well done property with clear guidance for everything. Perfect spot for an overnight. We hope to return in the winter

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property nestled on a hill in the middle of nature. The location is peaceful and scenic—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our dogs absolutely loved the wide open space to run and explore, which made the trip even more special. One of the highlights was the lovely pond on the property, full of fish and a great spot to sit by and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend this place for nature lovers and pet owners alike!

Great stay! Love how walkable the location was for a nice walking moment in the morning. Felt comfortable for the amount of people too.

Chris’ place was worth every penny. The apartment was private and quiet while being so near to all the city has to offer. Killer restaurants and parks within short walking distance and the balcony overlooking the lake was the perfect place to have dinner. We parked the car and didnt feel the need to drive it anywhere once we got in - just walked the neighborhood.

Loved our stay! Great location! Wonderful living space, bath and bedroom! Very comfortable bed, and we loved the little kitchen. And pet friendly was very much appreciated! Will stay again!

Dear Walnut Cabin, you’re just what I needed! After finishing my residency, I needed a reset and a breath of fresh air to take on boards study. I stayed for 11 nights with my dog and wish I could pack up the most perfect little cabin, the views, the wildlife, the TUB!!!! The SAUNA!!! in my duffle bag and take them with me. The cabin itself was perfect for sleeping, studying and RELAXING.!I stayed in early June, which means we never know what the weather will be in WI. Sleep with the windows open for the night breeze and blinds up to rise with the sun. With the warmer temps the treefrog army croaks from dusk til dawn and cooler temps you have absolute silence, both are delightful! I felt safe as a solo female at all times. I very much enjoyed the sauna, the outdoor tub (cold plunge or hot bath) and cooking in the little kitchen and relaxing on the patio watching the wildlife pass by. The host, Marty, what a guy! Super responsive, always respectful. Would come back, already recommended!
