Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Lake Merritt

My daughter and I loved our stay in this space. We found it very cozy. It’s within walking distance to so much while also being in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. I would gladly stay here again on a future trip back to the area.

Had an excellent stay with our family. Will is one of the best airbnb hosts we have ever had and would stay again at this home or any other home he hosts without hesitation. The cactus home is luxurious and has amazing amenities like heated bathroom floors, great outdoor space with pool and hot tub, and a well equipped kitchen.

My boyfriend and I were in Berkeley for a weekend celebrating my friend’s wedding, and The Peacock Room was the perfect retreat for us, with enough space to rest, hang out, and store/heat up some leftovers. It’s a really cool space with a ton of personality and quirky design, and is nestled in a quiet building complex that is centrally located and feels very private. Checking in and checking out was a breeze, and Erin was very responsive. There were a few ants in the bathroom when we arrived, but Erin brought some spray to use, and they weren’t a problem at all after that. Highly recommend the Peacock Room!

What can I say, this house has charm oozing from every nook and cranny. It's very homely feeling, and our big family thoroughly enjoyed staying here during our time in San Fransisco and Oakland. The host communicated very quickly, and the house is clean and well decorated, it feels like it was lived in with a lot of love. The main bed mattress is an adjustable Tempur Pedic, something I've never slept on but is prompting me to rethink my own mattress, lol. We met some of the neighbors who were friendly and fun to talk to. There are loads of great restaurants for any time of day in Oakland. We road tripped from LA, national parks, and ended our trip here. The Oakland Museum of California is a true gem, you can spend all day there, as well as Alcatraz, The California Academy of Sciences, and the parks around the area. Nearby towns are gorgeous too, and the parks around Oakland/San Fran are amazing as well. Thank you for hosting!

Went with husband and adult children all of us loved the house! beautiful inside and out lovely back yard and garden very tasteful interior with good light comfortable living room and bedrooms and spacious enough for five walked down the hill for restaurants and shopping about 15 min or a short drive hosts very responsive wonderful experience overall!

Had a great weekend away with my girlfriend at Todd’s place. Upon arrival I was unable to self check in, it was late yet Todd was very responsive then, and throughout the trip, and went out of his was to meet us at the house promptly after I messaged him, and helped us get in. Felt like home!

I’m a repeat customer and hopefully will return again in December. I don’t want to stay anywhere else.

Yeshi's home is a museum of colorful artwork from her travels around the world. Wonderful to be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves.

We enjoyed our stay at Renée's. It was in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of several restaurants and a grocery store. The place was spotless and the garden was beautiful. Communication was great and we appreciated the offer to check in early as we were driving around with luggage. Would definitely stay here again!

Our AirBnb stay was wonderful - great location, super walkable but still on a private/quiet road. We would highly recommend staying here! The place was clean and comfortable.

Good location, easy to check in late. I'm glad they provided fans since it gets warm during the day but cooled down rapidly when we got back.

Very grateful I found this place, Michael was extremely responsive. The place had a really nice loft and bedroom. The location is perfect to walk around and explore Alameda, one of my favorite places in the Bay Area.

Beautiful place in a perfect location especially great during the summer. My family of four stayed there quite easily and the kitchenette was a pleasant surprise. We could actually get a number of meals cooked in there. There is a little bit of a sound proofing issue so make sure to be on the quieter side but probably the best deal in SF for summer!

We loved our stay at Jan’s place in Berkeley. The space was great for our trip. We absolutely loved the deck and hot-tub. We spent most evenings sitting out there for hours! You also can’t beat the views of the bay! Overall, such a wonderful stay, we would for sure go back and recommend to all our friends and family.

The place was definitely worth the price. The hosts are kind enough to allow guests to use almost all spaces in the home, including a fully stocked kitchen and a balcony with an amazing view.

Our two families had such a nice time out by the pool, grilling and fishing off the dock. Thank you Sherry!

Once you open the door, you are transplanted into a space where a breath is taken and a breath is held. If you are seeking a calmness, this home is the one. Pride of ownership is evident in the furnishings, personal touches and in the whole home itself. Didn’t want our stay to end.

My friends and I stayed at Seaon’s home for about a week and we felt right at home. It was a cozy spot with a beautiful outdoor porch and garden to hang out in. There was enough beds for four adults and a baby. Seaon was very easy to communicate with and also responsive when we discussed anything regarding the house. The neighborhood was fairly quiet during our stay which is always nice. We drove to Oakland, San Francisco, and parts of wine country from the house and found it to be in a good central location. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for somewhere to stay with your group.

Beautiful neighborhood. Many walkable trails and parks with access to the Bay Trail. House is large and comfortable (great beds) and spotlessly clean. Large private backyard and very close to the tennis/pickle ball courts and pool. Only complaint is that the kitchen was not well stocked for our two week stay. We needed to borrow cooking implements and equipment from our son who lives in the area. But overall, a wonderful property and would not hesitate to return.

The best in San Rafael, plenty of parking and a kayak . Gina is wonderful our guests arrived early so I was asking Gina for early check in Gina response yes right a way Thank you very much. The house, especially the backyard, and the neighborhood in which it is situated, are stunningly beautiful. While guests do not have access to the master bedroom, the price for the rest of the house is well worth it.
