Ranch-style 460 sq ft studio with full bathroom & attached kitchen area. This studio has epic views of the creek & mountains and is located 200 ft from the main house. We have been told it is of the most beautiful locations in Colorado! 15 minutes to downtown Durango, 20 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort, and 5 minutes to the Hot Springs & a shopping plaza, and 40 minutes to the airport. There is a cafe/gas station/liquor store across the road. We also have another airbnb here with a spa deck!

Staying in a Strawbale home is a special experience! The thick adobe walls create a cozy and warm feeling that a traditional stick built home just can’t. Enjoy the vaulted ceilings, heated floors, new appliances and natural sunlight. Backyard, fire pit and gas grill as well as outdoor eating space. The view from the kitchen looks out on a private pond and local historic (retired) Rio Grande Railroad bridge. Some scenes from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were shot by this bridge!

One very comfortable bedroom and the other a kitchenette / living room. These modern cabins are self sustaining, off grid units. They utilize solar and battery backup for all the electrical needs. The bath house is entered from the deck and has an open layout sink, shower, toilet and instant hot water heater.
