Monthly Rentals in Lake Pillsbury

We had a delightful time in this lovely little cottage. Very uniquely located amidst the beautiful countryside. Brooke was also very kind to give us a tour of her farm which we really enjoyed. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway from the urban lifestyle.

Jon’s cottage was very nice to stay at. It was clean and well put together. Very cute and cozy but still had enough space for me, my wife, and two kids under 2 years old. Our toddler loved the patio and we kept the door open for him to go play out there. The view from the patio was nice and it was cool to see hummingbirds come to the feeders frequently. Unfortunately there isn’t much to do in Clear Lake for young families and the town is not in the best shape for tourists at least. The people in town were very nice though. Swimming in the lake isn’t advisable due to the algal blooms. Seems that bass fishing is the main attraction but we don’t fish so we ended up driving 2 hrs to Mendocino. It was definitely nice to be able to come back to the cottage. Made us want a cottage just like it in Tahoe which is our usual getaway spot.

Here for the Potter Valley Rodeo. Glad we found Carol's place. The studio is quite small, but it was perfect for us: quiet/remote and close to Main St for the Memorial Day Weekend activities in Potter Valley. Carol is responsive and helpful, and my daughter made best friends with her dog Clark! It was nice to explore an area that we've never been to before. We also drove to Mendocino and would highly recommend exploring Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve, home to some of the largest coastal redwoods in the world.

The spotless and comfortable apartment and large deck were even better than the pictures in Deborah's listing. The mini split A/Cs were so welcome in summer in Ukiah. We've stayed in lots of AirBnBs, and Deborah's very thoughtful amenities in the kitchen and bathroom were among the best we've experienced. The peaceful and serene apartment and grounds provided exactly what these weary travelers needed after a long drive.
