The Farm House Cottage

The Farmhouse is the perfect getaway. Spring/Summer head out into the fresh air, watch the cattle graze, wander around the gardens, smell the sweet scent of Wisteria pick seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs, or take it easy on a lounger in the sun with a book and a cold beverage. In the evening relax by the outdoor fire pit and enjoy the evening skyline. Fall/Winter cozy up in an armchair in front of the fireplace and watch the seasons change. Our 1910 FarmHouse Cottage... This is an adult-only property and is not ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant. We expect our guests to treat our home with the utmost respect. If any violations of these house rules occur, you will owe the full deposit. MAX OCCUPANCY: 4 Guests. Any additional guests must be pre-approved prior to check in. (The couch is not a sleeper sofa) ADDITIONAL GUESTS NOT PRE-APPROVED: All overnight guests that are not booked or pre-approved prior to your check in, will be charged at time of check out " $50.00 a night per guest, per night " along with any additional fees. The house was beautiful! We had such a good time there. The big open concept kitchen/dining room/living room was awesome!!!! The house was very clean when we got there. The beds was very comfortable even though I wished they would have been king size instead of queen size, but we know that when we booked. :) When we was wondering about a few things we contacted the host and they replied super fast! That was amazing. It’s a very quiet area and the views from the deck were beautiful! We pretty much stayed at the house the whole weekend we were there so I can’t really say anything about things to do in the area. We can absolutely recommend this place!

We have a son and family that live in the Lake Stevens area so we have stayed at this AIRBNB several times. Marilee has added an addition that serves as a very charming area for relaxing and visiting with family or friends, who live in the area. The day our son & daughter-in-law and grandsons came over for a visit, we planned to visit in the new addition but it was also beautiful day outside so we sat for a few minutes in the addition but then went outside to sit in the outdoor sitting area Marilee provides in her charming backyard, which has beautiful flowering plants This is a wonderful place to stay!

My family traveled from various states and stayed at Saiuen Gardens to attend my husband's memorial nearby. Since I live close by and have visited it many times when it was a shrine, I knew my family would love it, and they certainly did. The bedrooms and decor are one of a kind. What surprised me most was the quality time we spent together at the river; it was incredibly healing and brought us closer as we shared meals, cooked in the fantastic kitchen, enjoyed wine, and exchanged stories. The kids and their dad had a blast playing in the water. The seclusion of Saiuen Gardens and the riverfront is exceptional!

I checked in somewhat late (8:30 PM) and Joshua met me at the door and showed me around. There are a lot of smart devices (e.g., tell Alexa to turn off guest lights), that worked well for me. The room and bathroom are directly by the front door, so that's nice, you don't have to walk through their family's space. They were quiet, everything was clean, and it was an easy check-out.

House, view - AMAZING!! Two hiccups on our stay: Upon arrival, having flown there from Texas, I immediately took a bath to help my severe back problems. To my disappointment, I ran out of hot water at about 1/2 full. I stayed in the tub for over an hour hoping to get more hot water. It never came. I thought it was a fluke. Long story short - the hot water heater was replaced on day three with a tank that was 1/2 the size of the bathtub because that was all that was available on such short notice. I learned to use all the hot water over three hours & I could finally have a hot bath. Of course, me doing this left no one else with hot water. We also discovered a severe leak in the outside hot tub. We’d have to refill it each morning & then wait several hours for it to warm back up after adding so much cold water. None of this was the owners fault & they did the best they possibly could, but we paid a lot of money to have the two things I physically needed most not working properly.
