Holiday rentals with lake access in Langeberg Local Municipality

So enjoyed our weekend away! It was peaceful and we had beautiful weather as well - which was surprising for June. Walking distance to and from the beach. Enjoyed the fire pit area and chats around the fire and the pool. Good kitchen facilities and sleeping accommodation. Everything was clean. The neighborhood also felt safe. Claudette is also a very good host - very helpful and responsive with queries pre-check-in and throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful place to stay if you would like to explore Hermanus and surrounds. Excellent host that went out of his way to accommodate us. Beautiful and practical interior. Rooms are spacious and the entire house was sparkling clean. Would highly recommend this place any time.

Our second time here at this wonderful house on the edge of the lagoon was truly spectacular! The house has absolutely everything you could need including table tennis, tennis racquets, bicycles and board games. The proximity to the water is very special with our boat moored at the beach right in front of the house. Thank you so much Marlize!

Lovely and well kept, Heleen was super as a host, the location was amazing with clever architecture to hide from the wind and still enjoy the clear nights and days.

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

Susanne’s place exceeded our expectations. Spectacular house, spectacular views and we had a wonderful time.

What a magical place. The house has enough space and amenities that it’s lovely in both warm and cold weather. The location is so beautiful and Jannie was an extremely friendly and helpful host. This was our second time here and we will definitely continue coming back here.

I have stayed at this villa previously and it is fantastic with all of the required for a great holiday with children. The location is also brilliant - close to the dam, on the golf course and there is a swimming pool and tennis court on the estate. The estate is also secured and monitored 24/7.

Very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated little cottage in walking distance to the magnificent lagoon. Even our son and our dog were provided with extra beds, sweets and the most delicious passion fruits. Audrey was the perfect host, making sure we felt home away from home. A big bonus is the pet and child friendly Benguela Cove Wine Estate which is right next door and entertainment for the whole family. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would return in a heartbeat.

Bit of a back story - we got married in Hermanus 30 years ago yesterday (30/4/95) at St Peters and had the reception at Beintangs se grot and we had our honeymoon at Smits - we were the first to use the house after we had bought it. Eine schöne, süße Unterkunft. Für uns als kleine Familie (mit einer 4-Jährigen Tochter) reichte das vollkommen aus. Der kleine „Erfrischungs-Pool“ war für uns perfekt. Wenn man richtig kochen möchte, erscheint uns die Küche und die Möglichkeiten recht klein - aber man kann zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto (2min) zu einem tollen Restaurant (Deux Lions) kommen, in dem es von Fr-So ein tolles Frühstück gibt. Und sowieso die anderen Restaurants in der Stadt sind großartig und nicht weit entfernt.

This place is such a lovely place, tastefully decorated! What you see in the pictures is exactly what you find if not more in that lovely home. The place is serene and , the views are stunning, the helper is on time and efficient. Such a fresh and clean beautiful place- in short it is heavenly.

Beautiful place with stunning views! Great for a weekend getaway. Loved the setup and attention to detail which made it the perfect home away from home. Nina was great with sharing all the necessary detail upon booking and Monika ensured a smooth check-in. Highly recommend it❤️

Kyle’s place was super central and close to everything. The apartment is really big and spacious, usually one bedrooms can feel a bit crammed but Kyle’s place is open and breezy but still extremely cozy with everything you need. Kyle also accommodated us with an early check-in which was awesome. Kyle is Super responsive and helpful with perfect instructions. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks Kyle!

I absolutely loved my stay. The farm is so scenic and peaceful. The cottage is much bigger than it looks on the photos. It had everything I needed and was very comfortable. There are loads to see and do. Especially if you love birds. Beautiful and easy walking trails. Perfect to break away. The hosts are kind, helpful and passionate about the farm.

We would definitely stay here again! The location among the vineyard was really quiet and nice. The cottages are situated close to each other but still private. Each bedroom had an en suite bathroom with a rain shower and lots of space. The furniture and beds were comfy and cozy. The braai areas were great and the wood fired hot tub was such a treat. Shout out to Lourens for the wine, he’s clearly a talented winemaker with an excellent sense of the craft and has a bright future as a representative of South Africa’s wine scene on the international stage. Lizelle was a great host and was tolerant of all my questions. The entire territory was quaint and there were two hiking trails and even a canoe and SUP by the river. Book here. You won’t regret it.

Was really such a beautiful place. Loved how secluded it was. Honestly the perfect getaway and will definitely be coming back to stay again!

We had such an amazing surprise when we arrived at Berry Guest Farm - Raspberry cottage. We had booked as a last minute break and due to the responsive host had just gone straight ahead without getting too much info. What a treat when we arrived with our 4 children. The farm is a child’s paradise with activities - from amazing zip lines, canoes that are free to use at any time, fishing, waterslides, warm pool, night time child friendly hikes with UV torches… the list goes on, but the plus is that the scenery and nature of the place makes it paradise for adults too. Surrounded by spectacular mountains, and a short distance from nature reserves with hikes, waterfalls, mountain trails and wildlife, well we were just spoilt for choice! We had no idea that the small airbnb we had booked offered all this and we will be sure to return with friends to book a few of the cottages and maybe even camp on the campsite. Note: the campsite was very close to the house but noise wasn’t an issue

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were a bit surprised by the 10km stretch of public dirt road leading to the farm — we had expected only a few kilometers of gravel once on the property — but it was still perfectly manageable with a sedan. The thoughtful touches on arrival really made us feel welcome: a chilled G&T, the hot tub already heated, and a freshly baked loaf of bread waiting for us. The game drive the next day was a highlight. Uncle Steve shared many fascinating, history-rich spots with us, making the experience both educational and memorable. Next time (when not pregnant!), we’ll definitely take advantage of the kayaking — the lakes are absolutely beautiful — and we’d love to stay longer, as the game drive takes up most of the day. Highly recommended!

The views of the lake was breathtaking, waking up to the peaceful environment was everything, beautiful place to unwind and reset. The hot tub with those views makes a perfect combo, spacious home with everything you need. Really enjoyed our stay.
