The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

"The shack" is a 50 M square 'flat , entirely renovated by us that will welcome you for your trips to this quiet area of Castres' hills. Glue to our main house, this flat is situated on a 1000 m square garden with many trees and come with its hamoc, several garden tables and corners, a plancha and an amazing view toward the Montagne noire ( and even the Pyrénées if you are lucky). 12 min drive to the first shops , 15 min from Castres City center, or Lautrec

Chez Federico et Pierre: the trapper's refuge

Small house of 6m2 with covered terrace and large hanging relaxation net, perched in the middle of the trees in a quiet setting. First human presence (we!) 200m away: you will be alone in the middle of the woods. The walking access for 300m has a steep slope part. Coffee and tea are available. We offer homemade meals. Bedding provided, towels not provided. Communication via Airbnb, because the phone does not pick up well from us (in the cabin it's good).
