Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

A space in our fridge is reserved for you but there is no possibility to cook In the garden, a table and 4 chairs allow you to eat (picnic) with your family under a big mulberry tree

Rest, the place is quiet and nature welcomes you. Your terrace is private as well as the shower room and toilet. The bed is queen size (160), sheets and towels are provided. If you want a hot drink, a kettle is at your disposal. Breakfast by reservation will be served between 7am and 10am.

Welcome to the "Bruit de L'Eau" ! Come and relax at our bed and breakfast during your journey in southern Ardeche. You will stay at the second floor of our village house in Labeaume, a stone's throw from the river. At the foot of the cliffs, enjoy the quietness and fresh air of our courtyard in the shade of a massive linden tree, or entertain yourself with bowls games (called 'petanque') on the central place of the village!

“Les Herbes Folles” Bed and Breakfast – Room 1

Our house is located in Southern Ardèche 10 minutes from Les Vans, in a very small hamlet overlooking the Chassezac, close to secret swimming and enchanted walks, it is a 17th century stone house that houses my creative workshop and two guest rooms. A breakfast consisting of homemade products (bread, granola etc...), fresh products from our garden or neighboring farms installed in permaculture is offered.
