We had a wonderful week at Dora & Antonis. Friendly in contact, easier to approach and they make you feel very welcome "at home". The room was as described. If you dare the three solid stairs, you have a lovely private place with beautiful views. With a wonderful, sometimes a bit firm breeze. For us it was perfect! It was nice to be able to walk into the village and for us it was also well located to visit the further sights by car from there. All the people we spoke to in the village itself were also most friendly. Always ready for a chat and genuine interest. For the ultimate holiday feeling, you're really top notch! Bring your snorkeling set to admire the fish in the sea and also go for a bite to eat at Bravo, Antonis' restaurant. Good food and had very cozy evenings.

Perfect location, 20m to the beach, many restaurants, friendly people, parking spot bit tricky but never more than 200m. Communication perfect, very proactive. Exactly as the pictures shows.

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment met our expectations, the beach is literally 30 seconds away from the apartment. The apartment has everything you need, and also has a large terrace where you can spend time both during the day and in the evening. We absolutely loved the location and Agia Pelagia, a small town, but you will find everything you need within walking distance - supermarkets, cafes, authentic restaurants with delicious local food. Special thanks to Nikos and Agatha for their hospitality and care! Agia Pelagia and Crete will definitely stay in our hearts and we already want to go back!

Perched high above the sea, the view is absolutely jaw-dropping—sunrises here are something out of a dream. Every morning felt like a private show from nature. The home itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and fully stocked with everything we needed—from kitchen essentials to cozy linens. There’s plenty of outdoor seating to relax and take in the surroundings, and the ample parking made things super convenient. One of the highlights was how close we were to incredible local tavernas, all within minutes. The food was exceptional—authentic, flavorful, and served with panoramic views that made every meal a joy. Our host was incredibly kind and responsive, making sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. This place truly has it all—comfort, beauty, convenience, and a touch of magic. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing location with an outstanding view. The house was perfect for day trips all across Crete! The swimming pool and outside space was amazing after long days out sight seeing. Would definitely recommend this house, the host was welcoming and very knowledgable about the area and helped us with places to visit.

We had the pleasure of spending our vacation in this cozy accommodation in a charming, quiet village in Crete. The location in the mountains offers a peaceful atmosphere that was good for our relaxation, away from tourism. The place itself was extremely practical and well-equipped. The cozy decor made us feel comfortable. The tranquility of the surroundings was simply heavenly – ideal for escaping the stress of everyday life. To explore the surroundings and the many beautiful sights, a car is important. So you can fully enjoy the authentic Cretan culture and breathtaking nature. Overall, I highly recommend this place! A perfect place for those looking for tranquility and coziness in a natural and mountainous environment. Thank you very much for the hospitality and great communication!

Very comfortable two bedrooms. Fantastic location right on the shore with their own access to the water. A lot of good restaurants with in a walking distance.

Staying at Maria and her wonderful husband's house was simply overwhelming. The place Charaso is a beautiful village in the mountains and incredible for relaxation. The couple greeted us as warmly as the inhabitants of Crete are. We fell in love with the local pastries that were provided to us and the recommendation for the restaurant Gia mas was really worth its weight in gold. Nowhere on the island have we received such loving mezze for so little money. The neighbors were also incredibly hospitable. Special greetings to Eleftheria (I hope that's how you spell it), we miss you very much. We also hope that every visitor will take some cat food with them. In conclusion, we can only say: nowhere could we have experienced the real Cretan lifestyle better than in our cozy house in the great village of Charaso. We just fell in love.

If you wish to experience a secluded garden by a non-travelled beach, almost like your own access to the sea, that is the place. A very good taverna is few meters away. Nothing best to let stress, driving, movida and consumerism behind one's shoulders for some days. Dimitri and his family have created a heaven of peace and a beautiful garden. The holiday-house from their parents is still decorated like in the 80s, but all the essentials are there. The generous welcoming, with a large basket of fruit, olive oil and salad from the herb garden, complete the feeling of coming home. Efkaristò! Many thanks! Rossella

We stayed at Nikos's place from 10/6-10/12. The sea view was great. In the evening we heard the sea rushing. 2 minutes to the beach. The water was clear and pleasant 25°. There were not many people on the beach, a pleasant atmosphere. The island offers many attractions, the old town of Rethymno is worth a trip alone. The prices are ok. The Greeks are nice and hospitable. Nikos was on hand when we had an issue. Very friendly and helpful. We recommend this place👍. Regine and Heike from Germany🙋🙋.

the place was very nice and Maria was very hospitable. Her mom gave us delicious homemade cookies. The house looked as if someone is still living there. there were personal photos and what seemed like personal items. looked a lot like a "home". We had a lovely time. thank you Maria.

The studio with sea view is located a few meters from a beautiful bay. I was lovingly greeted with fresh fruit, snacks and welcome drinks. Thanks to the self check-in via key box, everything was very straightforward and flexible. Popi was always available for answers to my questions. The apartment was very clean and everything necessary was available. Next door is a small mini-market run by the very hospitable Dimitri. The location is perfect for switching off. If you want to leave the small town to explore the surrounding villages, it makes sense to travel by car. I was able to reach Made easily by bus from Heraklion.

Staying in La Casita by Kleoniki was the best choice I could have made! The accomodation is very beautiful, clean, inspiring, has a lot of suggestive elements and It makes you feel at home from the first minutes! In addition, I really appreciated finding welcome food and drinks! The access street is very calm, and it is a crossroads of a main road, which have all the services you may need. It Is located less than 10 minutes walking from the port and less than 15 from Morosini Plaza. I really would recommend La Casita to everyone! Thank you Kleoniki, hope to come back soon!

Sofia and her dad Giorgos were great hosts, from meeting, explaining and taking the time to make great recommendations to checking in often, very much appreciated! We loved Iraklio (and Heraklion) and the flat had what the 4 of us needed to enjoy our stay. We spent our mornings and evenings on the decks and loved eating outside and drinking beverages. The recommendation for the Peskesi farm to table restaurant was spot on! The restaurant/cafes options in walking distance of the flat are plentiful and every place we tried was good. We walked everywhere, and took a city bus to the wonderful beach by the airport and the ferry excursion to Santorini one day. The archaeological museum is a stand out, and the history museum and Venetian Fortress were also great sites. Ended up skipping Knossos as the artifacts found were in the archaeological museum, so no opinion on that. We shall return to Crete some time and when staying in the area would gladly book with Sofia!

This AirBnB is perfect with everything you need to cook, a great shower, a/c, and comfortable beds. Strong wifi and close to many cafes and restaurants. A nice piece of quiet and tranquility. Would def stay again!

the house matches the listing, indeed in reality it is even more spacious, beautiful outdoor spaces on the front and back, cool in the evening there is no need for air conditioning. the location is convenient to the main road that crosses Crete and Heraklion, but remains out of the chaos of the city in a super quiet location. despite not having met the host it is as if he had been there with us, on our arrival we found to welcome us walnuts and honey, typical sweets, chocolate, jam, fruit, beer, wine, raki and water. really a warm welcome. the house has everything you could need. the thought found on the stairs the last day completed an already beautiful experience. I therefore recommend the accommodation to anyone who wants to have a quiet base in Crete.
