Come and find refuge in this small country house to recharge your batteries in the middle of the forest, to get away from it all (hiking trails, restaurants, rivers, ponds...). Not far from major roads, it is located 35 minutes from Périgueux, and 10 minutes from Hautefort and Excideuil. Parking is available right next to the house and the garden is enclosed, which can be convenient if you want to bring your little canine companion. The house (60 m2) is on 2 floors + a mezzanine-bedroom.

This lovingly restored boathouse will allow you to switch off from the modern world, no tv or wifi to complicate things, just birdsong and views across the lake. Sleep up in the bedroom or on the extremely comfortable sofabed if climbing the stairs is not for you. Relax on the terrace, take a siesta in the hammock. Within 1hr of the Dordogne, numerous chateaux at 20 mins as well as some lovely local villages. Come and unwind.

Its location allows you to discover the Périgord and all its places steeped in history, Lascaux, the castles of the Dordogne Valley, those of the Vézère but also the Quercy with Rocamadour, the Padirac Cave. Possibility of canoeing on the Dordogne, cycling on the Voie Verte and hiking on the GR6. Shops nearby.

For two-wheeled travelers (bicycles, motorcycles) I have a barn to shelter them.

You can also fish on the pond.
