The space

The interiors of Beatrice are elegant yet unpretentious. In the open-plan living and dining area, a row of sliding glass doors floods the space with light and affords sea views from the sectional and dining table. A decorative fireplace at one end is a cozy, traditional touch. The fully equipped kitchen is equally inviting, with crisp white tile and a large window that lets in the island sunshine.
Six suite-style bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms, carry on the comfortable vibe. There are five bedrooms with two twin beds (which can be combined to form queen beds) and one with a queen bed; several of them open to a terrace or balcony.
Once the site of mythological exploits and naval battles, the Corfu of today is a hit with couples on honeymoon and sun-seekers who appreciate both its breathtaking scenery and cosmopolitan feel. The former fishing village of Gouvia, a 5-minute drive from Beatrice, is today a popular beach resort, and Corfu town, 15 minutes away, dazzles with oceanfront restaurants, charming boutiques and a historic center that’s been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
