Nostalgic and cozy living room with unique location

The historic house shows the year 1773 painted on the walls. The house was originally located in the village's cluster yard and was bombed during World War II. When the farm building was erected on the farm, the remains of the house were set up as a living room until the barn and today appears as an intimate and cozy little house with lots of history and soul. All amenities are of course completely modern. The house in the middle of the valley, down towards the fjord and at the innermost part of Høgsfjorden provides an unforgettable holiday in this old living room.

Beautiful boathouse at Fogn in Ryfylke

The boathouse is very tastefully decorated, and is beautifully located right by the quay. Good communication makes it easy to get to/from Stavanger and attractions in the region. The boathouse has two jetties and a small boat, as well as great hiking, swimming and fishing opportunities. It is located southwest-facing which means many nice sunsets. We are in the process of developing a cozy and charming little place with brewery, cafe and shop. You can order fresh items for breakfast, lunch and dinner - everything served and sold is made here.

For a more relaxing stay, sit back and enjoy the stunning views by the fire, or soak in the hot tub Winter Season - Important Note! During negative temperatures, there is NO WATER at the cabin. We've got several good hikes and interesting sites to recommend! 🙂 Our listing is perfect for two persons. We also welcome families with kids, but are not able to host larger groups. For groups of adults, maximum four persons. For guests from Europe: we've relisted our 120 old Farmhouse in Mandal (30 min. from Kristiansand). (20min by car to Pulpitrock hike start) Folding door at the front and two large sliding doors give the option to open up to nature outside. Fishing and bathing opportunities only 120m from the cabin. Wood-burning stove inside and outdoor wood fireplace. All bedrooms have light-proof sun shading.

Preikestolen: 10 minutes to the parking area. Read reviews from previous guests. The view is stunning, and the location is shielded from traffic and noise. Sun until 10:20 PM on the longest days. Sit down for several days and go on great hikes and mountain peaks from the exit door. Five minutes hike away you can go swimming in a river with fresh mountain water. Short distance to Jørpeland city centre (10 min walk, 5 min to drive) with all necessary shops available.

Unique hiking area. 15 minutes drive to the starting point for the hike up to Preikestolen and 5 minutes drive to the ferry to Kjerag. You will feel your shoulders drop when you enter the door and see the amazing view of the fjord from the large living room windows. An uplifting living room with kitchen and high ceilings.
