Only 8mi to campus or a quick commute to the capitol, McFarland is an easy exit off multiple highways and interstates.

We are a short walk from UW-Madison, Hospitals, State Street & the Capitol. We have a dog, Bella, who stay upstairs, but you could see her wandering outside. We have been inspected & are licensed with the city. ZTRHP1-2020-00027. Ask prior to arrival about the use of our high-quality mid-drive ebikes when you stay (for a small fee).

The Mill House Retreat is a 2 story loft set in a park like setting next to the Sugar River. Built in 1864, this stone grist mill has soaring 15ft ceilings, original fittings and luxurious finishes. You will be greeted by chesterfield sofas, a large bar, a copper tub and comfortable beds. Just minutes to bike trails, live music, restaurants, and bars. Guests are welcome to have local friends over to enjoy the setting and reminisce. Madison, New Glarus and Epic are just minutes away.

The Bobber Simple Cabin -Quaint 1BR/1BA-perfect HQ

This cottage is located in a beautiful rural setting. Set back off the main street with a private dead-end gravel drive. It's quiet and dark - perfect for stargazing. This is a simple, clean, and affordable space for those who are looking to get closer to nature. Conveniently located nearly equidistant to Madison, Wisconsin Dells, and Devil's Lake State Park. A wonderful HQ for exploring the natural beauty of Driftless Wisconsin. Plenty of hiking, skiing, breweries, wineries, and agri-tourism.

Cozy guest suite/basement apartment with separate entrance for nature lovers. Lake and capitol views from breakfast nook with microwave and mini fridge and coffeemaker. Full kitchen coming fall 2025. Well-behaved dogs, included in your reservation, must be leashed when outside.

YurtCation

YurtCation is a relaxing getaway with lake frontage and nature trails. There is another yurt about 300ft up the same driveway. There are a total of two yurts and two homes that have access to the same 17 acre lake. Each yurt is off the grid and has their own queen-sized comfy bed, wood stove, Weber grill w/charcoal, fire pit, firewood, fresh water, canoe, and clean Porto Potty. Pet Policy: Max two - Must be in your sight and supervised at all times or $500 fine and check out immediately.
