Beach apartment holiday rentals in Makena Bay

We loved our stay here! Perfect location, steps to the beach, great restaurants close by, and super walkable. The place was stocked with umbrellas, chairs, coolers, blenders, etc. Bed was comfy too. The balcony though, sealed the deal! We spent our early evenings playing games, having drinks and watching the sunset. Will definitely come back! The only negative was that the AC pushed all the heat onto the balcony which made for an even hotter balcony but small potatoes! Was still enjoyable.

This place is great, nestled among the resort hotels of Wailea, it’s a little condo that feels like a generous studio apartment, patio opening onto an enormous campus with amenities, walking distance to restaurants, shopping centers, and resorts, a short drive from some excellent snorkeling locations. Perfect for a couple, low key, comfortable, beautiful.

Gorgeous spot! The location is fabulous, close to fun restaurants and the harbor, but it still felt private. We would 100% stay here again!

My wife and I had a great time at Todd’s place. The location is great, lots of food trucks and coffee shops steps away from the condo. There is a friendly surf spot just in front of the condo. The condo is very well equipped with brand new appliances. I totally recommend this place!

Amy was a great host. She was very responsive and quick to answer all my questions. However, I didn't need to ask many questions because the information provided in advance was very detailed and helpful. The condo was great and had everything I needed to be comfortable. The condo was in the perfect location, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC was nice. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this condo to others.

We loved our stay here! The view was stunning every night that we watched the sunset from the lanai it was just gorgeous. The parking is so convenient, the location was just right for what we were looking for. It was a nice relaxing quiet location for this mom and dad’s first trip away without our LO. Sandra was so responsive and kind. We had originally planned to bring our LO and the pack and play was already set up for us and had toys and books in a neat little container if we needed them. Thanks again!

The perfect spot to stay for an adventure filled Maui vacation. It is centrally located on the island where there are multiple food trucks, restaurants, and a grocery store in walking distance. The place is at an intersection of 2 somewhat busy streets but the street traffic was not heard inside. The apartment owner has a big map of Maui hanging up with about 20 suggested locations to visit which we found to be very useful as we did a 5-day self-guided tour of the island. I would stay here again for future Maui vacations.

Beautiful place and area. Right on the beach, which was amazing. Lots of towels, no need to bring your own shampoo, etc. as those are provided. Well stocked kitchen too. Beach chairs, etc. were also provided. Great trip! We will be back!

this is the best Airbnb on the island! amazing neighborhood close to everything! it felt safe and had a hometown feel. everyone was so friendly. the place itself had everything we needed and the view was incredible! much better than the picture! when our host realized we didn't have beach towels he made sure some were delivered and we were thrilled to come back and see like 6 brand new thick beach towels!! having the washer and dryer in the unit made things so easy too! can't say enough great things about this place and the hosts ! we will be booking here for our next trip! 10/10 recommend!

Gary's place is beautiful! The description on the listing does not do it justice. The Nanea is a dream resort with everything you need. I would stay here again, without hesitation.

Don't pass this listing up!! It's amazing. You're staying ocean front and are walking distance to beaches, playgrounds, grocery stores, lots of food, snorkel rentals and more! We watched turtles, whales (in season), sunsets while relaxing on the balcony. We brought our 1 year old and had no issues; we rented baby gear from a local company. The main room has blackout curtains and we moved the coffee table to create a play area. We loved being able to walk to the beach in 2 minutes without having to pack everything up into the car. We even saw turtles while snorkeling right in front of the condo. There's boogie boards, snorkel gear, and sandcastle toys. The kitchen was fully stocked (glass Tupperware, foil, seasonings, oil, pans, pots, everything) laundry was a blessing, and AC worked well. We even did some remote work here and there was no issues. We absolutely loved staying here and can't wait to be back!

This place is an absolute oasis. The freedom to walk a mere few steps directly into the Pacific Ocean was bliss. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth every dollar and I definitely intend to return some day. Highly recommend.

Great condo in a great location in Kihei, well stocked with many eclectic things you may need during your stay. Beds were comfortable and the living room was spacious. Convenient parking nearby and great ocean views.

We stayed from June 5-12 and saw soooo many sea turtles from the lanai. Not sure if you can see them year round or just during this time, but it was a real highlight for us! We loved the 5th floor view, both rooms are very comfortable and accommodated two couples well. They have three AC units in the apartment that made it comfortable to sleep at night without getting too hot. The complex has a heated pool that is open until 9PM and scarcely used by others during our visit. They also had beach essentials like folding chairs, a cooler, umbrella, and towels that made our beach trips luxurious! We will definitely look to rent this place again for our future trips to Maui!

Aloha, If you are in doubt Just Book it Now! So glad for the opportunity staying at Aaron’s condo. Beautiful unblocked views of the ocean/sunsets. The apt is luxurious and big. Had everything we needed and more. My wife and I had a blast enjoying it in Maui. The location is great, quiet, private, secure and close to everything. Super close to Big Beach which we liked a lot. Also recommend doing the Hoapili Trail in the lava fields, just down the road there. Aaron was very attentive and fast to respond to any questions we had. Definitely want to come back here. Mahalo nui loa.

James's condo in Kihei offers stunning ocean views, breathtaking sunsets, and easy access to the beach. It is one of the nicest and best-located places we've stayed, providing excellent value. The home was immaculate and contained everything we needed to feel comfortable. It was just a short walk to a supermarket, restaurants, and cafes. As the condo's title suggests, we enjoyed fantastic sunsets from our private lanai, and the early morning beach walks were incredibly romantic. Communication with James was excellent as well. We highly recommend this wonderful condo and wouldn't hesitate to stay at James's home again. Thank you, James!

Mostly good impression. Minor nit picks: TV could be larger and newer for that price. The air conditioning on the balcony from the upstairs was noisy (and in general, the unit ACs are imho on the older side of the scale) until a miracle happened and new guests above finally turned it off and then it was really quiet for the night. There was some loud construction at the neighbors on one of the days, but again, it was only for a day. Overall a good private place.

We had a wonderful 6 nights at Heather’s place! She was very responsive to all of my questions both before and during our stay. There were 6 in our party and we were comfortable and well accommodated. The views absolutely made this place feel like a steal! We only wished we had more time to sit outside and stare at the golf course with the ocean in the background! Thanks from Ohio!

Everything was great and as described in listing and the other great reviews. Condo is great, very neat and as described in the listing. Views are amazing from the condo. Sea turtle spotting is very common. The bay is shallow on the low tide, and you might spot people snorkling. Barbara is a very helpful host. The only complain that I had were winds. For some reason it was always windy there during our stay while ’twas quieter on other places in the island. There is only one convenience shop where you can find good brunch and beer.

Our family of four had a great stay at Ainu’s condo. The location was perfect, the condo complex was quiet, and the pool has a fantastic view. The condo had everything we needed for a week on Maui. We definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful property! Karma is a great host: quick to respond, flexible and kind. She went above and beyond to help make our trip enjoyable. The condo itself is very well stocked and comfortable. Really appreciated all of the beach gear (chairs, sand toys, goggles/masks and boogie boards!). Beds and sheets were sooo nice, and there were lots of extra beach and bath towels. While at the condo we spent lots of time watching the birds from the lanai, enjoyed walks on the beach and sunsets from the rooftop. Kehei is a small, safe town in a great location to begin/end all of our Maui adventures. A few of our favorites: Palauea Beach, Monkeypod restaurant, Duo (splurge at the Four Seasons), Trilogy snorkel tour to Kaanapali, North Shore Zipline, hula show at South Maui Gardens. Thank you Karma for a magical first trip to Maui.

We were a family of 5 and we were very comfortable here! Very clean, Jen and Reto were very responsive, my Korean mother eats rice daily and when she saw the rice cooker wasn’t working, reto came that day to replace it! We thought that was very sweet. They were very responsive and flexible. The pool was used a lot by my kiddos and was always clean, we loooved the food truck garden a short walking distance away. We stayed here two weeks so we cooked at home a lot and they had most items that would be needed. I would recommend Jen and Retos place especially for families.
