Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Malia

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marianthi's and Thodoris' house. The sea side view is just epic; from the hammock you can just chill, look over the sea and the mountains and feel the soft sea breeze. They are truly wonderful hosts, and they quickly responded to any requests from our side and provided us with nice suggestions on places to visit. The house was just beautiful and well cared for, especially the garden and patio were wonderful for our young kids who loved exploring and picking up lemons, that we used to make an amazing lemonade. Many days we started the day by walking to the nearby beach so that the kids could make sandcastles and we could relax into the day. We also enjoyed the restaurants at the beach that have a decent selection and good quality food. We would highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially to families with kids.

We had a very nice time with Anna and Leandros. Very quiet and very comfortable. It’s a very short walk to the beach, very close to several nice restaurants, and also close to the town. Anna and Leandros are also super communicative and kind. Would definitely recommend.

Irini is a warm and attentive owner to her hosts. Through all its little touches, flexibility and good humor, you can only feel at home! The environment is soothing, the apartment matches the photos and the hot tub a real plus! We were not able to enjoy the pool because of the weather but the setting is pleasant, it is to share with Irini's family who is as friendly as she is. You will have from time to time the visit of his cat and away from the dog. I can only recommend hoping to come back one day and discover the evolution of the site🥰. Thanks for everything!

We had a very nice time in Crete and in Marina's place! There were two of us with a child. In this respect, it was very convenient that Stalida beach is only a few hundred meters away on foot. The three of us could sleep well there and have breakfast on the terrace in the morning. We didn't cook - little elaborate food would have been possible. Parking is free directly on the street. The apartment is lovingly and nicely decorated and it was very clean. Communication with Marina is quick and easy. Arrival also possible with code. So happy to come back, warm recommendation. Staying at Sunterra feels like being an honored guest at a Seaside Cretan Villa. My accommodation was lovely and private. Sofia left honey, treats and the best olive oil from her family estate. She checked on me often without being intrusive. I slept to the sounds of the Cretan Sea and the pool is world class. This is one of the best places to stay in the area. We were with Alexis and Nikolette at the beginning and at the end. It is really a beautiful place where you feel very, very comfortable. Everything is lovingly designed. Very comfortable two bedrooms. Fantastic location right on the shore with their own access to the water. A lot of good restaurants with in a walking distance.

This property is on the top of our list of all of the Super-host level properties we’ve been at whether Air B&B or any other platform. Premium quality and high marks for design aesthetics promoting maximum relaxation inside or in the yard with breathtaking views all day long and spectacular sunsets. All meals at the property must be had out doors! It was a perfect retreat after long days of sightseeing. We would rent it again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to family. John & Autumn

Olgas father & mother are the kindest. She is lucky to have them. I‘m from Alexandria and I felt here home because of the generosity of this people.

My boyfriend and I spent five nights here for my 22nd birthday and it did not disappoint. The photos on here do not do the place justice and the local area is just the right amount of quiet busy also with an abundance of restaurants and bars. We didn’t get a hire car as we managed with the local buses as they are so much cheaper and we were able to get to beaches such as Saridari and Paralia Psaromoura, which we would recommend. We also would highly recommend a boat tour to Dia island if you are able too. Restaurant wise in Gournes we cannot recommend Nami Restaurant enough and it is a must! The beach opposite is a lovely shallow beach but we aware it can be quite windy hence why we explored other beaches - would advise if u go to these beaches you leave early (especially if u want a sun lounger)! Super nice bright and well decorated apartment. We felt at home. Lovely balcony overlooking the sea. Eva was there to greet us and explain about the apartment. There was free bread and various delicacies in the fridge. Quick, friendly, and welcoming communication with Eva. We can highly recommend the apartment.

if you want to have it quiet, it is the perfect place, Stella also gave good tips, among other things, a car rental (Tsoukos Rent a Car) which was very helpful for me to explore the surroundings ( several beaches and sights) flexibly. Restaurants, bars etc in the main town of Analipsi can also be reached in a few minutes' walk from the apartment. All in all, I highly recommend the apartment and I would like to book there again and again!

this was an unexpected Oasis -- it is a family-owned compound, though family members were nearly invisible, offering help but allowing LOTS of privacy. There is a constant breeze in this remote place, and we were happy NOT to have a car so that we understood the property and the 25 minute walk that separates it from the busyness of Heraklion. we sometimes walked down the hill for dinner or to take the bus to town, but ultimately cooking and eating on the patio (and enjoying the pool after the trek home) were treasured activities after the crowds of Athens and even the Heraklion cruise people. Wish we had stayed longer-- few places we have planned in Crete offer this private and comfortable outdoor space. This family is special. 💕

Kostas and Maria's Gonies Taverna and Appartments are amongst the best and most special places we have ever stayed, both in Crete and elsewhere in Europe. The situation in the mountains, just below the Lasithi Plateau is idyllic, very quiet with just the sound of mountain goats but also on a good road and in a beautiful garden full of bird sound. Kostas and Maria were wonderful generous hosts, the spacious appartment full of personal touches and breakfast (and supper) in their taverna delicious. We stayed 3 nights and would love to come back

We had an exceptional stay at Tasos. The apartment is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos, with a breathtaking view of the sea that literally takes your breath away. The private jacuzzi is a real plus, offering incomparable moments of relaxation. The apartment is perfectly equipped, everything is thought of for your comfort. In addition, you are less than a 10-minute walk from Agia Beach and the best restaurants in the area, ideal for enjoying the area. Tasos is a very attentive and responsive host, who does everything to make your stay absolutely perfect. You can book without so much so so, you won't be disappointed. P.S. Don't forget to feed the little cat of the residence, he is absolutely adorable. 😉

We had an amazing time. Manolis is very helpful and friendly. He gave us some great recommendations of beaches to go to and restaurants. The apartment is in a great location. It has everything you need and is really nicely decorated and very clean. If we end up in Agios Nikolaos again we will definitely stay there again

The apartment is very pleasant : clean, modern, spacious and perfectly equipped. The small balcony and roof terrace are a real plus and add to the apartment's charm. Erietta and Manolis provide numerous recommendations for discovering Heraklion and its best addresses, which is particularly appreciated. Very responsive and attentive, they ensure that everything runs smoothly. An excellent experience, which I recommend without hesitation!

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

You cannot beat this location. It is walkable to several shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Close to the waterfront, close to the airport in Seaport. Convenience that cannot be beat.

Kostis’ apartment is cozy, clean and extremely well located. The terrace is spectacular, offering great views of the ocean and an amazing sunset. We truly appreciated Kostis’ hospitality, always one step ahead of our needs with timely communication and great local recommendations.
