This private peninsula has been a Northwoods getaway for the past 75 years, formerly as a resort and now as a unique collection of just three cabins. This listing is for Cabin #1, a lofted cabin that sits right along the waterfront. Each cabin has it's own firepit, picnic table, grill, and Adirondack chairs. The 6-person barrel sauna, kayaks, and all other outdoor spaces are shared among all guests. We're just 15 mins. from Downtown, Mt. Itasca, Tioga MTB Trails, and the Chippewa Nat'l Forest.

Relax with your family at this fun and peaceful destination. Located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest on Little Bowstring Lake in Deer River. Enjoy all the amenities the outdoors has to offer. Fishing, swimming, boating, kayaking, hiking, snowmobiling and more. Charming home has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with an open floor plan for the living/dining rooms and spacious kitchen. Two kayaks, paddleboard, basketball hoop, ping pong, and pickle ball available. WiFi, smart TV, grill and laundry.

Lake Cabin

Our lake cabin is on a private lake with no public access (Please note, we do not have a boat landing for guests to bring their own boats due to our steep hill). We are near numerous snowmobile/ATV trails, many beautiful lakes, and the Chippewa National Forest. We have 250 feet of lakeshore and over 30 acres of hunting land across County Road 65. Our cabin is on over 4 acres, plenty of room to relax. We have a boathouse, dock, two kayaks, a small boat & motor, a fire pit grill and gas grill.

Full kitchen, bathroom with shower, cozy bed and living area, get a breeze off the lake in the summer, and enjoy in floor heat in the cold season. This year round cabin for two is the perfect place for a romantic get away. Swim, fish, hike, mountain bike in the summer, hunt in the fall, cross county ski the Suomi hills in the winter and mushroom hunt and fish in the spring. A great place to get away from it all.

Hunters & Fall Color Followers Welcome!! Johnson Lake Landing can sleep up to 10 guests and makes the perfect family retreat year-round! Easy access for trailers. JLL is right on the snowmobile/ATV trails in the Chippewa Nat'l Forest, and we have a private 1 mile trail cut through the property. We boast the only private boat landing on the lake; this is a great fishing spot for walleye, panfish, bass, and northern. Here, you get 600' of lakeshore view!
