An outstanding Airbnb in a beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of several different places to sit in the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the Douro valley. But it's the hosts that make this place so special. Casimiro and his son Manuel represent what Airbnb is all about; they personally welcomed us, offering lots of recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants, but were never intrusive. Casimiro's wife had prepared a tray of 'entradas' - a Portuguese starter of cured meats, cheeses, bread and olives - plus a bottle of local wine. A couple of days later Casimiro appeared with an huge bowl of cherries from their own orchard. This Airbnb wasn't just somewhere to stay for a few nights, but an experience to be treasured.

L'appartement est spacieux, calme, bien équipé, nous avons été très bien accueillis et très rapidement installés. La cuisine est très bien équipée, il y a tout ce qu'il faut. Le petit plus : un emplacement pour garer la voiture. c'est vraiment une bonne adresse à conseiller et à retenir.

A great house in a beautiful location where you can unite with the mother nature. Américo and Rosalina are very nice hosts. They waited for our late arrival at 10pm to greet us and show the place, making the check-in process as smooth as possible. The house and the yard are very cozy, having a lot of lovely little details. The surrounding nature is gorgeous; the pictures do not show the real beauty. You can see the Milky Way in the night sky, and the morning fog covering the mountains is just stunning. We got the fresh bread in the morning at the gate, which was very delicious. Driving to Porto, Pinhão, and Guimaraes, is about one hour as part of the road goes via a serpentine road with amazing views. We were a company of four adults and two kids, and everything was great. The kids had fun swimming in the pool. I wish we could stay longer at Américo's place. We definitely highly recommend his house!

O António e a sua família são pessoas impecáveis Fomos um grupo de amigos que estávamos a fazer a rota norte de mota e tivemos direito a tudo!! Super simpáticos e não nos deixaram faltar nada! Sítio super sossegado e com todas as condições! Sem dúvida alguma um sítio para voltar!

Hemos pasado 15 dias en la casa y venimos encantados. Los anfitriones son muy atentos y amables y se han portado genial. La casa es muy comoda y está muy bien equipada, no le falta de nada( bueno, una tele un poco mas moderna jeje) la zona es preciosa y hay mucho que visitar. Encima admiten perros y las mias han disfrutado en la finca como locas. Las fotos no hacen honor a la casa .Gracias por todo Muy , muy recomendable.

This is a beautiful home! We spent a wonderful week with extended family ranging in age from 90 years to 2 years old. The home was perfect for everyone. It is a large historical property that is traditionally but comfortably furnished and was immaculately clean. There is lots of space and many interesting places to explore - it really fired the imaginations of our 6 and 8 year old boys. The pool was very clean and bigger than we imagined. There were Sun loungers, shade umbrellas and toys for the kids which was a real bonus. The host family were welcoming, kind and very hospitable. They responded very quickly to any questions. The property is less than 10 minutes drive to a railway station with good service to Porto or beautiful inland train ride along the Douro River. We had a super week and unreservedly recommend this property.

1st off, wow wow wow! what a beautiful villa. We Landed wel ahead check-in time & Jose rang on route and was very accommodating to allow to get in early. The Views when we got out the car were breath taking, the villa itself is beautiful too, so spacious, traditional Portuguese deco and you could tell this home is loved so much. We felt at home. So peaceful, we hired a car and the Intermache supermarket is worth a trip to stock up, only 13 mins drive. So many beautiful walks too. The local wine is a must too! We will absolutely return. c’était un super séjour à la campagne, parfait pour se reposer ! Antonio a été très agréable et très disponible si nous avions besoin, sa maison était super, un de nos meilleurs séjours airbnb !

Superbe séjour à Penedo village. Hôte très accueillant et à l'écoute des voyageurs très belle maison bel emplacement entouré de montagne au calme service au top (nettoyage de la piscine quotidien, tonte et arrosage des pelouses ...)
