Holiday rentals with lake access in Marion

We were in town for a girls get away with some hiking and Twisted Sister was perfect! Such a beautiful setting and so close to the places we wanted to go. It was super easy to get in, very clean, and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves as we prefer to do. We also enjoyed strawberries from Flamm Orchard, and great hikes at nearby Little Grand Canyon and Cove Hollow, plus of course Giant City State Park. Candace was an excellent hostess. She lives next door but gave us complete privacy. And when I had questions or wanted recommendations she was super responsive. It made us feel safe and cared for. It is so nice that she shares her beautiful property with guests in this way. We will be back!

Loved staying at Ellen’s beautiful lake home for the weekend. It was very comfortable for all and views of the lake/sunset did not disappoint! Ellen was super quick to respond to questions before and during our stay, so accommodating and pleasant :) Lake of Egypt is one of our favorite spots and we enjoyed going back once again. Ellen’s home is one of the prettiest yet - updated and modern with all of the conveniences + lots of extras with vacationers in mind. Located near the marina for great food, boozy shakes, live music and the water park. We also enjoyed the kayaks provided and hanging out on the large deck of the home, as well as the spacious dock below. Highly recommend this host and home for your next trip to the lake!

Wonderful area, peaceful and quiet. Kitchen was wonderful with everything you would need. Located near the lake and easy driving to Fern Cliff and Giant City State Parks. We also kayaked at Cache Bayou outfitters about 40 minutes away.

JR was quick to respond and friendly. We went there for a fishing trip and it did not disappoint. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Could easily do 6 people. The porch swing was really comfortable sitting on at night enjoying lake life. The covered pier was awesome! Electric to plug in our boats, lighted and a nice little fish cleaning station. It was a great deal and we hope to go back again soon!!

Our stay at this lake house was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches and attention to detail. The living room’s large windows, provided breathtaking views of the lake. It had every appliance and utensil we needed, along with thoughtful extras like spices, oil, and coffee filters. The bathrooms were equipped with ample towels and toiletries. We enjoyed peaceful mornings on the deck, sipping coffee, cruising the lake, and watching the wildlife. The quiet surroundings made it easy to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the lake house! The house was amazing. We enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake. We had a fire in the fire pit every night. It was absolutely amazing! Tina is super responsive and even gave us a lot of local recommendations and did everything she could to make our stay easy. We will definitely stay there again in the future!

Excellent location, we were in town for a fishing tournament at the marina across the street. House was clean and plenty of parking.

Our stay at Whirlwind Farm was beyond our expectations. Dixie was very responsive and made sure every detail was satisfactory for us. We highly recommend staying here when you are in the DuQuoin area.

Oh my where to start!! Do not stay anywhere else besides here!! Dixie is an all star host! Extremely accommodating, makes the most delicious cookies, has the most beautiful, relaxing home, a beautiful pond that’s fully stocked of fish, has an adorable doggy named huckleberry that gets the zoomies, she was so fast at answering questions, asking what we needed, and even brought down a fire pit & the sticks for the kiddos to make s’mores, my friends from Florida & Indiana said they will 100% be booking again! Thank you so much Dixie for making our first meet up an outstanding one!! 🫶🏼 I might even just book to stay here for a night away from my own house even tho I live in town, it’s that good!!! So don’t waste time book here!!!

We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful and clean - looked just like the pictures. Walking distance to great restaurants. Will definitely stay again! The host is super responsive and helpful.

It was a great private location surrounded by nature, close to restaurants. A very beautiful stay and it felt like home. The hostess was very kind and understanding when our dog had an accident. We had such an amazing time.

The home was extremely clean and well organized. It was quiet and exactly what the family needed.

House was clean and matched the pictures and view of one of Lake of Egypt’s coves was nice. Lots of wildlife in the area. Location is peaceful. The house has almost everything you could need. We were staying in the area for our daughter’s wedding but we would stay again if the need ever arose.

We loved Bells place. It was so comfy and clean. We loved the hot tub on the screened in porch, and sitting my the lake watching the ducks and geese. We will return!

I can't say enough positive about our stay at Melvin's place - it is truly outstanding! Melvin is tremendously responsive and helpful and the place is absolutely wonderful - we loved it!
