Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Massanutten

This was a beautiful, peaceful place to stay for our time in Shenandoah. The hot tub was wonderful after long days of hiking and we really enjoyed relaxing on the porch listening to and watching the birds and the river go by. One evening we saw a deer in the backyard. Our host was very responsive and helpful with our questions.

The house was impressively clean. It was very private, and had a good amount of space for our family. We found our stay to be very comfortable. The space was well supplied. Nicole‘s communication was excellent, and we had an easy time getting in and checking out. It was in close driving proximity to Shenandoah national Park and downtown Luray which we enjoyed.

Our family loved staying here over our Christmas week. Ashely and Nick decorated the house with a Christmas tree and other holiday decorations and we felt right at home. The house has amazing space to spread out in different area, so kids can enjoy the games room while parents could be in the hot tub. We loved exploring Massanutten and all the activities it had to offer. The house is in the perfect location to do this. Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend the house for families.

Excellent home for a group! Hannah's beautiful mansion had everything we needed for a wedding party group for the weekend. The home sits on top of a hill and has a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The home slept 10 with way more space for many additional guests. No complaints about our stay and I would like to thank and commend Hannah for her prompt communication and flexibility with our group!

This was great place to stay for a weekend trip to Harrisonburg! Comfortable, easy to get to, and lovely surroundings. And we enjoyed trying different records in the vinyl collection.

The cabin is very comfy and a delightful place to stay! We particularly loved the beautiful sun room, which is the perfect place to lounge and relax while enjoying the quiet of the surrounding woods. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all of our meals for the weekend and the beds were very comfortable. Michael did a great job responding to any messages we had for him. Loved our stay in their cabin!

We will definitely be back to stay here for our next VA trip. We had 10 guests and a dog and we had plenty of space for everyone! The house was fully stocked, especially the kitchen. Mark was fantastic and very responsive. The arcade house was a huge hit and the spot we spent our time the most. Can’t wait to come back!

Suzy’s place was the perfect spot to stay! From booking to checkout, everything went smoothly. The apartment was extremely clean, as well as comfortable. The bedrooms are large and provided extra blankets and pillows. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, and she provided coffee, creamer, and snacks! I would definitely stay here again.

Great suite walking distance or very short drive to downtown - would stay again for a future weekend visit

Jennifer's place is a great stay! We were there for just one night and it was perfect for access to downtown Harrisonburg to meet up with family. very quiet and peaceful setting in the countryside. We did not hear the hosts the live in the space above the apartment. additional information/instructions were around the apartment that were very helpful. we would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Glenn is a great host. Friendly, helpful, flexible. Wonderful lawn that goes down to the river. Canoe and kayaks available. Fire pit with lots of free wood. Well equipped kitchen. Very quiet. We’d go back anytime.

Andrea was very kind and her place was beautiful and clean. Instructions were perfect. Everything matched the description.

We are repeat guests at Paula’s and it’s always a great time. Visiting our JMU Duke and staying at the Southern Charm Retreat is always fun, convenient to the campus and relaxing. House is roomy and super clean. The game room is a fun bonus and the back yard deck is beautiful, well maintained and great for entertaining. Thanks as always Paula !

We only stayed one night at the cabin—but what a night it was! We arrived in the evening and were immediately greeted by a small herd of cows, which absolutely delighted my dairy farmer husband and our farm-loving son. After a week at the beach in a less-than-cozy house with minimal amenities, followed by a full day of walking around Monticello, this cabin felt like a warm hug. The space was incredibly comfortable—recliners everywhere (my kind of paradise!) and plenty of seating for everyone. With two full bathrooms, it made traveling with my family and brother so much easier. The peaceful, scenic view was just the cherry on top. Our kids had a great time too—it’s a wonderful spot for families. We also really appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning—a thoughtful touch from our hosts. Honestly, we kicked ourselves for only booking one night. Lesson learned… we’ll definitely be back for a longer stay next time!

The cabin is nestled in green, one can hear birds chirp all day. The cabin was as it appears in the pictures, clean and all amenities available. We enjoyed the hot tub.

This place was gorgeous! Waking up and having coffee while watching the horses was a dream. Very close to Shenandoah and several other activities. Highly recommend this home away from home!

One of my most favorite stays in Va. beautiful scenery from the deck and down to the river. Very peaceful and secluded. Highly recommend and look forward to book in the future.

Quite simple cabin with easy access to the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. Great for relaxing after long day of hiking.

Amazing place and probably the most well put together Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. All the little touches are great. Location perfect for local walking. Absolutely beautiful accommodation and location. Not much local but Alison provided plenty of warning and we came prepared. Also provided a box of things people might usually forget which is a great touch. Recommendation of the local store was great and we enjoyed a pizza from there. Host was really responsive and proactive (not that we actually needed her as everything was perfect) Can’t recommend the place enough!
