We had the most amazing time at Dar Meeti- the building itself was better even than the photos and the Daniel (chef) and Sammy (supervisor) together with the rest of the staff made our stay exceptional.

Fabulous little cottage close to the creek. Had a wonderful stay and Eddie was amazing, looking after us and full of local knowledge. He couldn’t do enough to make sure our visit was perfect

Great host, great house, great staff, great stay! We’ve visited Watamu many times over the years and found our stay at Dragonfly Cottage one of the most copacetic. Pete’s a great host - always responsive, very accommodating. The cottage was lovely - a great use of space - well designed, stylish, and comfortable. Both bedrooms and the common room open up onto the covered veranda leading to the pool and tranquil garden. The cottages are well-located near a quiet section of the beach - which is reached down a shaded path - and a walkable distance to both the center of town and Mida Creek. Doris and the rest of the staff were very welcoming - each making a point of introducing themselves - and helpful, without being underfoot. Dragonfly’s a lovely place to stay!

The hosts have been very communicative and welcoming and then we met Bernard, who runs the house. What a terrific fellow he is - his local knowledge and willingness to help was astounding. Villa Cleo is immaculate - the rooms are spacious and it’s private. It proved to be the perfect getaway for a week and the pool is much bigger than it appears in the listing’s photos. Overall, the stay was brilliant and we know Watamu very well. This has been memorable. The location is just off the main road to Temple Point and it’s a ten minute drive to Blue Marmalade, the local supermarket. We must put a word in for Mrs Patrick and her amazing samosas opposite the supermarket entrance. Our thanks to Patrick and Jacky but especially to Bernard. Thanks also to Nathaniel the ascari for watching the site at night. It’s safe, beautiful, private and recommended.
