Farmstay holiday rentals in Mayo

The cottage was perfect for us. We are a family of five and it had everything we needed. So welcoming, cosy and comfortable. Really clean and bright. The garden is beautiful and the outdoor covered picnic table just at the back door is great for a peaceful drink! It's so quiet and yet only a short drive into Westport. Selina was a fab host as we knew she was happy to help with anything we needed. Books, DVDs and toys for the kids were grea too. For anyone concerned about not having WiFi, it was not an issue as signal is great. We would definitely stay again! Thank you Selina!

The cottage actually looked even better in real life than the photos. It is charming, rustic, homely and comfortable. It is a real home from home. Towels were provided. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and Margaret left us home made treacle bread and Irish butter the first evening. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar was all available which was really welcoming. Margaret recommended the local pub/restaurant (the Beach Bar) which was excellent. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and great value. The ambiance was perfect and the staff friendly. The electricity in the cottage was paid by using £2 euro coins in the meter and it was reasonably good value. There is a private pathway down to the nearby beach which is a nice walk. The cows in the field next to the cottage are beautiful. We had a brilliant stay and we cannot cannot recommend Margaret and the cottage more highly.

John est un hôte sympathique, bienveillant, disponible. Il a pris grand soin de notre confort. Les derniers kilomètres pour l'accès au gîte sont à faire avec prudence compte tenu de la localisation au milieu des terres escarpées et des moutons mais la vue et l'environnement sont magnifiques. Le gîte est confortable, bien équipé et bien chauffé ce que nous avons apprécié durant cette semaine fraiche et pluvieuse. Depaysant, rafraichissant. A recommander.

We had a wonderful stay at The Granary. Kelly is a great host, happy to support with anything. We loved to meet the animals. The Wifi was good enough to work from there. Thank you Kelly, for these lovely days!

Majella’s place was perfect for my family of 5. It had every amenity listed. The location was beautiful and private, it was easy to find. If we’re able to come back we would love to stay here again.

A great place for a week away from it all. The house is clean, warm and dry which are what you need on the west coast. Great location right on the lake but also close to Clonbur and Cong with lots of options to eat and drink a good Guinness. Would definitely recommend.

Sabines Cottage ist ein Traum. Wir haben uns in den Räumlichkeiten und der Umgebung sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Cottage ist gemütlich und bietet alles was man braucht und noch viel mehr. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

fantastic 4 days, great location but with a car, peaceful, dogs loved it plenty of space clean. easy to find with the sat nav. Mary did send directions also which where perfect but the sat nav was 100 percent. just a great few days away with the dogs and a lot of sightseeing

We had a perfect time. You definitely need a car as the house is literally in the middle of nowhere. The house is very well equipped with everything you may need. All furniture is super solid and comfortable. We'd like to highlight the pillows and duvets. Both are of highest quality and made us happy each evening! On top there are electric blankets in each! If you're looking for a quite and comfortable place with a lot of things around to see and do, you found the perfect spot!

Such a cozy, warm and roomy place. Great size kitchen with everything you could think of provided. Breege and John are wonderful and lovely hosts, never intrusive and always ready to help which brings me to the excellent breakfast service. You can of course cook your own, but if you message Breege when you're booking, she can provide a superb Full Irish Breakfast at an excellent price that sets you up for most of the day. Plenty of tea n' coffee and wholemeal bread n' butter upon arrival. We were also lucky to get fresh cheesecake! Large beds and large showers ensuite in both large bedrooms with excellent storage space. Loved the TV/Reception room near the door, well away from the bedrooms. There is an excellent pub-"Eileen's"- within walking distance that hosts live music and traditional sessions on Wednesday nights -John even offered to drop us in, but you could walk it in 15mins. Knock Shrine is about 10mins by car. Many thanks to Breege and John for hosting an excellent experience.

Nicola’s property was ideal for touring around Connemara. It was very peaceful and scenery was breathtaking. We had a really nice time. The property had all we needed and was spotless. Thanks Nicola

Stunning house with the most amazing views. Bernie and her husband were so helpful and kind. Peaceful location close to a pristine beach. The kids loved all the sheep and horses in the nearby fields. Thank you to Bernie for a lovely relaxing week

This was one of our favorites on the trip. The layout of the house is pleasing, with plenty of space to open large luggage. Comfortable furniture. Lovely vanity in the master bedroom. We slept well on the quality mattresses. The setting is quiet, with some sweet sheep sounds to put you to sleep. While rural, it's only about 15 minutes to Westport and beyond for sightseeing, restaurants, and shopping.

Anne’s house was one of our very favorites! So warm and spacious, squeaky clean, well stocked with everything you could possibly need without being cluttered. The photos make the house look a little dark, it isn’t at all- it is light with a cozy feel and nice, comfortable furniture. We thought we could stay forever comfortably enjoying the amazing views. The house is very quiet even in a storm and although we loved seeing the sheep just outside we couldn’t hear them, so very peaceful. The beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, good flushing toilets, everything was great. Anne made us feel right at home and so welcome. She was so thoughtful and kind, we couldn’t say enough. The walk toward Mount Gable was beautiful and a wonderful recommendation. We would gladly stay here again.

Absolutely perfect stay! The house was spotless on arrival — everything was extremely clean, well-kept, and clearly looked after. It was also very spacious, with more than enough room for our group of 12 to relax comfortably without feeling cramped. The kitchen, bedrooms, and living areas were all ideal for a large group. Couldn’t have asked for better — highly recommend. It was my second time staying and would definitely book again. Perfect for any occasion.

We absolutely loved this house! The house was clean, cozy and had everything we needed. The house was spacious, very comfortable and it felt like home. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to make dinner. We sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful setting with our family. She did not miss a beat with lots of extra towels, lots of family games, great recommendations of things to do in town and she even had chargers for the cell phones. This was our first time visiting Ireland and absolutely loved our trip and our stay here!!

heerlijk huis, met een fantastische view. Judy stond ons al op te wachten. Ze had heerlijke scones voor ons als welkom. Uitstekende uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen. Judy en John zijn ontzettend aardig en stonden direct voor ons klaar, als we iets wilde weten.

This was one of our favorite places! Unfortunately our schedule was jam packed so we didn’t get a chance to really unwind and enjoy the space as much as I should have planned. The farm was wonderful for the kids and a different experience than any air bnb’s we’ve been to before. Edel and her husband were an absolute pleasure to meet - both so kind and hospitable. I hope to come back here again some day!

Jimmy's place couldn't have been better for our family reunion. The house was immaculate and really spacious for the kids to run around with a lovely big garden. The house has absolutely everything you could need on a trip away with kids, we had a lovely cozy fire one evening after a day at the beach. The house was lovely and warm and the beds were really comfy. Its in a great location just a couple minutes drive from Westport. Jimmy recommended a lovely hotel walking distance from the house that had really friendly staff and locals that made us feel really welcome. Jimmy was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish, he couldn't have been more helpful and had some great recommendations for our trip. I would highly recommend Jimmy's place it was great value for money and overall just a lovely base. The kids didn't want to leave, thank you so much for having us and we will definitely be back again next year.

It was our second time holidaying in Carraig Mor and we weren't disappointed. House had everything we needed and then some. We were more that comfortable and both kids and adults loved our stay. Louise's dad Tommy was helpful in every way and full of information and brought us in a lovely side of cooked salmon towards the end of our break. Would highly recommend staying to any one of their houses. We'll certainly be back! Thanks for everything Tommy and Louise

A great place to stay. House felt really homely. So many little extras provided which really made a positive impact on our stay. Kathleen was very kind and helpful. The house is situated in a beautiful and peaceful area. Seeing the donkeys every day was a treat!

Loads of added extras. Loads of towel I’m bedrooms, extras for when using the water sports. Shower gel etc in all bedrooms. Toys available for children, air hockey as well. There where 2 lovely horses that we where able to go to each day, 2 llamas and some deer. Lake was beautiful. Very near ballinrobe for food shopping and eating out. Lovely doughs left for us on arrival the washing machine and tumble dryer where an excellent bonus. BBQ available but due to ager we didn’t see. Definitely recommend this lovely family accommodation. Plenty of parking as well.
