We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay. The house is beautiful with spectacular views of the mountains and vineyard. Owen the manager was extremely helpful and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. We will definitely be back!

beautiful and charming cottage right near the heart of Franschoek. Stunning swimming pool to plunge into and a peaceful garden with lemon trees. The cottage is decorated in English countryside charm, has an effective wood burner fireplace and all you need. loved our stay!

We enjoyed our stay a lot! Perfect place to have a relaxing weekend and we felt right at home on the farm. The complimentary bread, rusks and milk was a nice touch!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, well equipped and tastefully decorated. High quality and well appointed kitchen. Gorgeous outside area for dining, and a little plunge pool for hot days. The town is walkable and full of great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this house for a wonderful Franshhoek holiday.

Our stay was very short. we arrived in the dark and had to leave early also in the dark. Had a very peaceful sleep, place was warm and cozy, Egbert had the heat going when we arrived. Beautiful place.

Our weekend at The Black House in Robertson was truly exceptional. Tucked away in a peaceful spot yet close to top wine farms, it was the perfect base for exploring the region. The warm welcome from our host, complete with a delicious homemade quiche and lemon meringue pie set the tone for a relaxing, indulgent stay. The house itself is beautifully designed, with stylish interiors and serene outdoor spaces that strike a perfect balance between luxury and comfort. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making us feel right at home. We left refreshed, pampered, and already planning our return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful wine country escape.

Had a wonderful time at the Noy Noy TiPi! A real off the grid getaway but with everything a person could need. Everything was clean and as we imagined, and there is a real emphasis on making the stay peaceful for everyone. The outside bath and shower was fantastic and sitting by the fire at night and looking at the stars are all experiences we will remember for a very long time. We felt right at home and Jackie made the whole process smooth and perfect. She was very helpful and it all made the stay a perfect one. Would also like to stay again in the summer for another wonderful but different experience.

Cha’s place is absolutely lovely and she is a dream of an Airbnb host. We truly enjoyed our time there with our 2 boys and dog. Cha was very quick to reply to any and all of our messages and the place was well stocked with all the necessary items to cook and prepare meals. The hot tub was ready for us to get in upon arrival and there was plenty of firewood to keep it going. The views are spectacular and the area is peaceful. Thank you Cha for hosting us!

The Pines is a wonderful venue for a breakaway with a group of friends or family. The old farm-style homestead is in impeccable condition, with the trappings you expect from a much more modern house. Everything was spotless, from the bedroom linens and towels, to the well equipped kitchen, and the outside area. The weather was fantastic, so most time was spent in and around the pool, on the tennis court, and in the cool quiet of the house. Do: 1. spend an early morning with fresh coffee on the stoep, waiting for the sun to start painting the glorious mountains right in front of you; 2. make communal meals and eat under the ancient trees in the afternoon and at the huge dining room table in the evenings, where our stories mingled with those that had come before us; 3. bring your - well behaved - furry friends, they will get as much from the large expanse of lawn and, since the property is fully fenced, the can explore as much as they want to; and 4. braai next to the pool. Enjoy!

Very rustic but cosy cabin

A beautiful peace of heaven nestled in the Swellendam mountains and only a short drive from the busy city life. We were wowed by the amazing views and could not get enough of them. This location is rustic but so beautiful. You have the choice of a cosy rustic cottage with everything you need for a weekend stay or camping next to a pool area with other campers. The location is pet friendly and our 3 small dogs loved the freedom of open spaces and enjoyed their daily walks. The host Henri was very friendly and checked in on us daily to see if we needed anything. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the location for anyone who appreciates the outdoors.

What a magical place. The house has enough space and amenities that it’s lovely in both warm and cold weather. The location is so beautiful and Jannie was an extremely friendly and helpful host. This was our second time here and we will definitely continue coming back here.

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The place was exactly as described and looked just like the photos—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Each bedroom had its own en suite, which was a huge plus for our group. The open-plan living and kitchen area was perfect for socializing and opened up to a lovely terrace with a small pool—great for relaxing. The location was ideal, with shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. While some reviews had mentioned potential noise from the main street, we found it to be minimal and not at all disruptive to our stay. Our host, Dominic, was excellent—very friendly and quick to respond to any questions or requests. Overall, we would absolutely recommend staying here and would gladly book again in the future. A great find!

We had an amazing stay at Gordon’s place in MacGregor. The house is fully equipped with everything that you would need, making it feel like a real home away from home. The house was spotless, and the linen and beds so comfortable. The fireplace was the real treat, and we had a great time over a few bottles of wine. The nature reserve is a short walk from the property, and was a beautiful place to take our dogs. The scenery is gorgeous and peaceful, the entire stay was amazing. Gordon is a superb host, super friendly and helpful, and quick to respond to every message. We will definitely be back in Summer to enjoy the pool. We highly recommend Gordon’s house for an incredible break away just a short drive from Cape Town. Thanks Gordon for your hospitality.

A charming house that is set in a beautiful little town, made the most lovely countryside retreat. We had a wonderful time and the dogs adored the large garden too. Thank you for your hospitality!

If you’re looking for a 5 star farm stay, then this is it! We will definitely be back. Tammy is an amazing host, the finishing touches in the house are truly wonderful and the recommendations of things to do in the area were fantastic, not to mention the beautiful walks we did in the orchards and the incredible views. Most certainly one of our most favourite Airbnb stays to date.

This place was even nicer than pictured. We felt so at easy and comfortable and our hosts were all great and accommodating!

A comfortable stay, very clean and simple. The stoep has a very steep drop and therefore this is not an ideal cottage for toddlers (we unfortunately could not take full advantage of the outside sitting area and beautiful view due to this). Esti is very easy to communicate with and is proactive in ensuring everything is in working order. Note - only one stove plate so plan to braai (all provided) or otherwise have one pot meals. Overall a great weekend away
