Great stay, beautiful view of the lake. House was spacious and clean. Karen responds very quickly and even let us check in slightly early as we were traveling with two babies, which was much appreciated!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Careless Whisper Cabin! It was spotless (air purifier included), and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfy… honestly better than some luxury hotels. The deck and fireplace were our favorite hangout spots. Even with the rain, we spent hours there just soaking in the peaceful vibe. The amenities felt high-end, but the atmosphere was pure cozy cabin warmth… relaxing, inviting, and good for the soul. There were so many thoughtful touches—kids’ utensils, a well-stocked kitchen, both Keurig and drip coffee makers, extra toilet paper, and a sweet welcome gift with a “Congrats” sign for our twins’ graduation. That truly made our hearts melt. Brian was such a wonderful host… responsive, thoughtful, and felt like a distant friend making sure we had the best time. We’ll absolutely be back, and will be recommending this gem to our friends. One of our favorite getaways ever!

Andrew and Knotty Dog Lodge were awesome. Very accommodating and responsive. The area is beautiful with a ton of stuff to do. We played disc golf, fished and used their wiffle ball equipment. The hot tub was great as well. Being the last house in the street, we had a lot of privacy and a great amount of space. This was our second time at this location and we will definitely be back!

Quiet, Cozy, and clean. This roomy home nearby Deep Creek Lake was perfect for our family weekend - tucked away and private, but offered great space and excellent ambiance for our small group. Would recommend and go back again in the future!

The whole process was seamless. Great communication between us and the host, check-in was a breeze and it was exactly as advertised. Would stay here again.

Decently renovated double-wide Airbnb. Reasonably clean. Private back porch with a hot tub. 5 stars for the very responsive and super helpful host!!! The location was excellent, just minutes from Wisp Resort and town! Great value!

the Ferndale was a great house in the Timber Rock rental community! Super dog friendly, fire pit, hot tub and dock slip access. everything you need for a lake house getaway. The house is in great condition, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are spacious. I definitely recommend The Ferndale or any other Timber Rock Village home.

This was a wonderful place for a couples weekend getaway! The house was very clean and very nice. The coffee bar and hot tub were great. Carol especially was amazing with her communication. During our stay, there was a blizzard warning, which lead to a brief power outage. Carol made sure to reach out to us about everything first and was extremely responsive and helpful. She made sure we were taken care of and even had a guy come out to clear the driveway of any snow. Overall, wonderful place with a wonderful place. We may stay here again in the future!

The house was beautiful and so was the setting. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very spacious. The only thing disappointing was there was 8 of us and we brought steaks to grill. As nice as the house was , I was shocked at the tiny table top grill. We ran out of the small propane bottles as there were only two that were half full. I would recommend a full size grill for a house advertised as accommodating 11 people. Other than that everything was great!!

Great way to spend a few days winding down. The lake was close to the house. Our dogs enjoyed a morning swim and a nice long walk on the trails to dry off and release some energy.

This was our 4th time staying here and it was perfect as always….thanks for everything we hope to be back next year!

My family has stayed at several cabins over the years and this one by far was one of the best! Literally everything you could ever need was provided. The consideration and care put into this Airbnb felt like a home. Generous furnishings and supplies were available and it was close to some markets if you needed anything. We also liked how dog friendly the listing was. The cabin and surrounding area was peaceful and quiet. Very clean. Would love to come stay again if we have the opportunity to.

We had a great stay at this cabin. It’s in a beautiful spot with really nice views, and there’s a lot to do around the area if you enjoy the outdoors. The cabin itself is cozy, clean, and well set up. We also loved having things to do inside—there’s a karaoke machine, pool table, and even an arcade game, which made it easy to have fun even when staying in. Carla was a great host and made everything easy for us. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

This was by far the best airBnB we’ve stayed at. Susan was friendly, responsive and so helpful! The property looked like the pictures, clean, modern and well decorated/equipped. Views of the lake from the balcony and sofa. Dog friendly and enough space for daily walks in the complex. My kids were so excited for the bunk beds which were huge! And of course the indoor pool and close walk to the Fun Zone. Overall the home is perfect for a getaway to DCL! But more importantly, the host has really made an effort with added extra touches. Such as having things in the home that any short term renter would appreciate, from the kcups, laundry pods, toothbrush/toothpaste to trash bags! All these extras were such an appreciated convenience to start with. Phenomenal experience and we look forward to a future stay!!!

Great vacation. Wendy was the best host we have ever had—responsive and generous. The house itself was one of the best stocked rentals we have ever been in. We loved the use of the kayaks and would absolutely come back to enjoy Alpine Lake here again. Very relaxed, friendly vibe within the whole community.

This was second time staying in Millstone Cottage when visiting Alpine Lake. It’s a cozy place, located near Club House, and perfect for a couple. Did not use kayak as we did last trip due to unseasonably cool weather. Hiked the Overlook Trail, which goes up the hill behind cottage to Gazebo at top of old ski run for a great view of lake. We came away relaxed and refreshed, and that’s what a weekend retreat is all about.

Cozy space for our family of 5. My kids loved the ping pong table the most. It was convenient to the highway, grocery store, and other shops.

Our 8-person group included older parents, as well as two kids <10, during the most off-season month at Deep Creek, when many area attractions were closed. Along with some stormy spring weather, that meant we were spending a good amount of our trip in the house. And we had an amazing time there. The kids loved the arcade machine, foosball & ping pong table, puzzles, board games and the big TV was great for movies and ballgames in front of the warm fireplace. The grill, firepit and hot tub were easy to use and in great condition - it was reassuring to see the contracted hot tub company come for routine maintenance, indicating it was clean & safe. And the view! We ate at the dining table and gazed out over the lake and hills. The kitchen had all we needed to cook for everyone. Beds/baths were comfy and it was nice to have a set on each floor - our families could have our own spaces, and my parents could stay on the 1st floor to avoid stairs. We loved the house and hope to return!

Our group had an amazing stay here this weekend. It was a peaceful getaway, private yet close to local attractions. We were worried about our weekend being rainy/cold but the indoor and outdoor amenities made the weekend perfect, regardless of the weather. The hot tub was clean and the fire pit was relaxing on the non rainy days and the inside game room and basement space were perfect when we needed to be inside. The kitchen was a perfect size for cooking a few larger meals and had pretty much all you would need. Overall, great house and experience. Thanks again!

Really nice house! Had no issues whatsoever and the hosts were helpful, responsive, and very friendly, and as soon as we checked in, we knew that we were going to have a great time. The community is excellent and very serene, and the fire pit, hot tub, and outdoor seating areas (on multiple floors!) were our favorites. The trash situation was quite easy as well, and the listed instructions left no confusion in any regard.

Great deal for a cute little place off the main roads. Swallow Falls is only a few minutes away, Oakland is very close, and Deep Creek area is also close. Kind of a perfect little hideaway nestled between all the good stuff. Just a suggestion for people with cars that are low to the ground - be careful coming in and out of the driveway. You have to back out at an angle or you'll scuff the bottom of your car. I'd definitely stay here again. It rained 90% of the time, so we didn't get to use the fire pit :( Next time!

My mom and I wanted a little weekend away & Chef’s apartment was just what we needed! The space is clean & cozy. The king-sized bed is very comfortable. There were gorgeous plants everywhere, fresh fruit on the table, freshly picked flowers on the counter, cool books throughout the apartment, & even a corner with comfy pillows, a mediation chair, & drums! Chef kindly helped us get our bags up to the apartment. We met his lovely dog, Pacha, who is so sweet. We woke up each day & enjoyed an amazing breakfast made of fresh fruit & veggies & enjoyed the conversations we had with Chef while he cooked. How many times in life do you get to wake up and have someone cook you a farm-to-table meal? And he made it 100% vegan for us—amazing! We took his recommendations and checked out Oakland, MD. It was a cute little town and we particularly enjoyed the antique shop, Englanders. Swallow Falls State Park is worth checking out, too. This was a really unique, beautiful stay. Thanks, Chef!

This is the perfect couple's getaway. Tucked away in a private riverfront setting. The house featured nice amenities and was professionally decorated. It was an easy drive to Deep Creek, Frostburg, and West Virginia.
