Mains Cottage is a former milk house that occupies a spot in the centre of Vindomora Roman Fort. The cottage is in the heart of beautiful Ebchester Village and has impressive views of the village and the Derwent Valley. Mains Cottage should provide everything guests need to get a feel for just what the North East of England has to offer. Jessie's Hut

Our first hut (Ben's hut) was so successful, we've built another one !! Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut has a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre.

Both cities are noted for their stunning architecture along with superb restaurants and traditional pubs. There are many local attractions for all ages within a good walk or a short drive.

We're only a couple of miles from the C2C cycle route, with easy access to lots of other cycle routes & walks.
