Family-friendly holiday rentals in Metropolitan Borough of Solihull

Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Riverside Cottage was perfect for a restful week away before my operation. The scenery was stunning and the location so peaceful. The dogs were happy as they could could come and go as they pleased as the garden was so secure. Everything you need for a break away was supplied and the host was a message away if you had any queries. The hottub was an added bonus and was made the most of throughout the week!! A most enjoyable break, we will definitely be back

Lovely little place with beautiful views, very peaceful (we hardly saw another human the whole time we were there). The little added touches were lovely. It was a little smaller than we thought it would be, but we hadn’t done a glamping pod before so I guess we didn’t know what to really expect. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the hot tub on the evenings, definitely an added bonus!! And the welcome and greeting was really lovely and helpful with recommendations of local restaurants :)

Celebrated our 1 year anniversary and it was absolutely lovely, we are definitely going back! Lynden was so lovely and gave clear instructions that made finding eveything so easy, love our tour of the farm and feeding all the animals that were so friendly! The room was really nice and decorated so beautifully & really appreciated the complimentary snacks. We loved the hot tub, lighting the fire for our marshmallows, and how close the animals got to us! Was a lovely place to stay felt so at home and welcomed, would define my recommend :)

The house was perfect for our annual family reunion which included 8 adults & 3 children. It felt spacious and welcoming. Having a hot tub in the garden was a real bonus and well used. Garden area was enclosed and private. Location was a few minutes walk from town in a very desirable area. We walked to Anne Hathaway's cottage in about 25 minutes & found a back route to the church where Shakespeare is buried near the river. I think Natasha should be upgraded to Superhost as she was helpful but unobtrusive! Instructions were clearly sent by & her responses to queries were very prompt. We all felt the stay could not have been improved upon and cannot find anything negative to say about it. Thank you very much indeed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mutton Barn. The house was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The location was perfect: a beautiful, rural position - so quiet - all we could hear was birdsong! The views from the house were outstanding! We loved seeing the wildlife: badgers feeding on the lawn, pheasants in the garden, deer roaming across the fields and a bird of prey swooping from tree to tree as we drove up to the house on our arrival. Paul was a very friendly, obliging and helpful host - we certainly appreciated the lighting of the log burner each night. Many thanks too, Paul, for the champagne, milk and chocolates you left for us - they were much appreciated!

My husband and I had such a lovely stay at Sarah and Sim’s place while in the Cotswolds for a wedding at nearby Lapstone Barn. It was the perfect base for us for the weekend - cosy and peaceful and had everything we needed, and more! The breakfast spread was so thoughtful and very much appreciated. Would highly recommend this air BnB. Thank you both!

Unbeatable location in beautiful Chipping Campden with easily accessed on-site parking space. Well equipped kitchen, washing machine, fridge/freezer etc. plus great bathrooms with good shower pressure. Plentiful basic supplies as well! Super hot when we stayed so lovely to be able to have the French doors to the pretty courtyard open. Quiet for a high street location and very secure. We have stayed at Chipping Campden previously and it’s a fab location for touring the area.

A delightful cottage just a few minutes walk from the many attractions Chipping Campden has to offer. Two surprisingly spacious bedrooms, one en-suite. If you are heading to the Cotswolds, this the perfect place to stay.

My third visit to Adriana's place. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Balsall Common has all the facilities needed for an easy stay including some great places to eat and easy access by train or road to Birmingham and Coventry. I'll be back.

Wow! What a fabulous, totally relaxing weekend in the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings. We (and our 2 miniature Dachshund) just loved that as soon as you stepped of the front door, there was so much garden, woods, lake and fields to explore. And don't forget the peacocks, Roger and Kevin, adding that magical touch passing right by the front of the cottage. Jean was so lovely too. We absolutely would love to return xx

We had a great stay at Phil’s place, everything we needed. Especially good that breakfast was included. We only attempted the drive once as it was too steep for us. We parked on the road for the rest of our stay but never had a problem finding a spot. We will certainly stay again next time we’re in the area visiting friends & family.

We loved our home for the week. It proved to be an ideal base to see the Cotswolds. There were shops a couple of miles away and we weren’t far from supermarkets in Evesham. The kitchen was well fitted, we Wanted for nothing. We will definitely recommend this venue to anyone wanting to visit the Cotswolds.

Our stay at the pool house was great. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and clearly look after the place very well. The house itself is lovely: clean, nicely decorated, and equipped with everything you need for a holiday. It's also very private, being away from the main residence and surrounded by peaceful greenery with a wrap-around garden. The outside space is very relaxing, with several dining areas and roaming space, and it's also secure for dogs. The pool is fantastic and definitely the main attraction in good weather; it's clean, large enough for several people, a good depth for swimming but most adults can also safely stand, self-enclosed for extra safety, and just as private as the rest of the place. If you can pry yourself away from the water, there's also lovely country walks and farms in the surrounding area, and amenities are a short drive away. We definitely plan on visiting again.

I recently stayed at this beautiful cottage and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were taken in by the charm of the place – the cottage is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. One of the absolute highlights was the private access to the pool. It was such a luxury to be able to take a dip whenever we pleased, without having to share the space, the booking slots was such a clever way to achieve this. Surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful surroundings, it felt like our own little slice of paradise. The cottage itself is perfectly situated for relaxation but also close enough to explore local attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing, romantic, or even family-friendly escape with a touch of luxury and loads of charm, this place is a gem.

The perfect escape! Farahnaz and Paul are really helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Summerhouse is so secluded and cosy. it really is a proper escape from the "Busy Life" Shakurs on the corner is a great place to eat if you get the chance. The Garden Flat is a wing of the lavish Manor House that takes centre stage. Overlooking a well groomed pool and well designed garden landscape, the flat is within easy reach to the ‘enchanted’ gardens of this beautiful property. Situated in a very picturesque Cotswold village; one can be within minutes reach of a cosy local pub or if in need of solitude; a stone’s throw away from a peaceful lake. The weekend spent in the garden flat was memorable and a nice way to escape the demands of daily life. Thank you Petra for your prompt reply- booked very last minute and we were accommodated nicely.

Amazing place with a fantastic host who was so helpful and provided all the information needed and very quick to respond. Perfect for my young family with plenty of options for my kids and swimming pool such an added bonus. Thank you! No doubt we will be back

We had the most amazing weekend at The Courtyard. We were a group of 10 guests celebrating a 30th birthday, and we had everything we could have needed. Sally met us for check in and showed us around, but gave us privacy for the rest of the weekend. She also left us some homemade bread, and crisps and Prosecco from her nephews business. She was responsive to messages throughout our weekend, and gave us a generous late checkout. The property and surroundings were beautiful, and the pool was a highlight. We placed an online Sainsburys delivery which saved a lot of time and stress. We all highly recommend The Courtyard to anyone looking for a peaceful weekend in the countryside.
