Chalet holiday rentals in Mieussy

A really unusual and beautifully converted little mazot or chalet. Looks characterful and rustic on the outside but it was very modern and nicely kitted out on the inside. The space is tiny but we found it perfect for two. We were there in June so could enjoy sitting out on the terrace. We are both over 6ft so had to watch our heads in the bedroom which is in the eaves. We also found the stairs very steep and tricky so would caution people who are not very sure on their feet. One had to be very careful with middle of the night trips downstairs downstairs to the bathroom! Both the living room and the bedroom have a traditional unglazed window which is sealed by a large wooden door which it is brilliant to throw open to enjoy the mountain air, even when it's raining or snowing. Very atmospheric! The mazot is in a quite spot just on the edge of town but everything is 5 to 10 minutes walk away. There is even a japanese and also a savoyard restaurant a few minutes walk away.

Wauw! Wat een prachtig verblijf! Pauline wachtte ons op en kwam met een hoop tips voor de omgeving. Het huisje was nog mooier dan we hadden verwacht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er zijn voldoende voorzieningen op loopafstand te bereiken. Ook met de auto ben je snel bij diverse bezienswaardigheden. Het is een ideale plek als uitvalsbasis om de Franse Alpen te ontdekken. Een aanrader!

Yannick est un hôte très convivial et très réactif, prêt à proposer des activités. Son chalet, très bien équipé, est situé dans un hameau permettant de se ressourcer au calme et de bénéficier d'un très beau panorama. Je recommande particulièrement de prendre le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse, avec la vue sur le val d'Arly, avec le soleil du matin comme compagnon..! Non loin du gîte, de belles ballades, promenades ou randonnées à faire. Possibilité de se détendre et de récupérer physiquement de sa rando en se baignant au plan d'eau du petit village de Flumet. Véritablement un beau gîte, un bel endroit à connaître et un hôte des plus sympatiques.

Their place is gorgeous, it was even better than what I expected from the photos. Every room is tastefully decorated in a cozy way, we felt right at home. There was a wonderful basket of toys for our kids to play with. The view from the back terrace and garden is simply amazing. We all loved spending time out in the garden enjoying the view. The place is very comfortable and well equipped, and private. Easy parking, good communication, annd warm welcome on arrival. And the view, the view, the view!! Gladly would stay again.

Nous avons passés quelques nuit au Mazot Miou-Miou afin de découvrir principalement Chamonix. Le Mazot est très cosy, bien agencé et avec une vue magnifique sur le mont blanc. Aucun vis à vis et le quartier est calme et paisible. La literie est très confortable et il ne manque rien, le mazot est très propre ! Carl été très réactif tout au long du séjour et arrangeant sur les horaires. Il nous a recommandé des visites. Nous reviendrons !

We spent three nights in this amazing apartment. One could not ask for a better experience! The place itself has everything you need. We were very comfortable. What really stands out however, is the incredible view! The apartment is located high up on a mountain slope. The view from the terrace is just absolutely breathtaking. Never seen anything like it in all my 52 Airbnb stays. We were met by Cyrille, one of the hosts. A most welcoming and charming man. It was very nice meeting him and listening to his stories. We will most likely be back for more. A highly recommended listing!

Die Unterkunft von Nathalie liegt wunderschön in den Bergen mit traumhaften Panorama. Der Blick vom Esstisch ist wirklich einmalig, es ist eine Freude am Morgen die Sonne aufgehen zu sehen. Wirklich ein magischer Ort. In der Hütte fehlt es an nichts, auch Tee, Kaffee, Öl usw. stehen zur Verfügung. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit und die gute Wegbeschreibung (wenn man sich daran hält, kann man es eigentlich nicht verfehlen).

The view! Great place in a stunning location. Only minutes to shops and 10mins from Chamonix. Beautiful walks on the doorstep. A short walk up the hill and you can take in the view of Mont Blanc Will visit again

Je remercie Laurent pour sa grande gentillesse. Notre séjour était vraiment très agréable dans un cadre magnifique. Le chalet est conforme aux photos et très bien équipé. Vous trouverez tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner avec tous types d'accessoires et de machines ainsi que beaucoup de matériel mise à disposition pour que l'on se sente comme chez soi. Il y a des machines à raclette et il y a des machines à fondue. Tout le linge de lit est fourni ainsi que les serviettes. Laurent nous permet également de venir avec nos animaux ce qui est un grand plus pour ce séjour. Je recommande complètement ce logement qui nous permet un dépaysement total. A bientôt.

What a beautiful stay we had at Maison d’Hiver.the chalet was spotless and it had beautiful furnishings and amenities. We all loved having a nice warm luxurious chalet to go back to after a long days skiing. Would definitely recommend and come back to this wonderful chalet. Jon was also very helpful and responsive and helped with lots of recommendations and knowledge of the Area and chalet itself. Car is needed to get into town, but the parking spots were very useful and there was also a good public car park that we used lots.

We stayed here for a week for our Mini Moon end of August, and it was perfect! Absolutely beautiful chalet, the swim spa was the perfect way to start and end the day! So much helpful information around the place, very tidy and stress free. We were welcomed with such a thoughtful gift, and the Polaroid camera was a great touch! We enjoyed going to Lac de Montriond for paddle boarding, and had the best burger at Lactuel, highly recommend! We also did a lot of off roading in our 4x4, also venturing out to the Swiss alps! Fantasticable was also really fun! There’s so much to do in this area, we couldn’t fit it all in, but it is such a beautiful place to be and the locals were very friendly! We will likely be coming back again and hopefully for ski season! Thank you so much for a wonderful break!

Hélène and Marc have a beautiful home. It is well appointed and is located in a majestic location. We had a wonderful stay and only wish we had more time to enjoy the house and the community. Certainly worth the visit! Thank you!

Beautiful chalet in a lovely location. Hosts responsive and helpful. Rooms and space perfect for our family holiday. Very clean and beautiful views. Only downside was the sauna only worked for us once, host was helpful and came To sort it but we couldn’t get it to work before or after this so only used it the once. A lovely stay would highly recommend and would love to return.

Le cadre est idyllique, l'installation confortable et fonctionnelle. Les chambres sont douillettes et spacieuses. L'hôte est adorable, aux petits soins, réactif et disponible. Fantastic Chalet for a Ski Getaway! We had an amazing stay at this chalet! Everything was in pristine condition, and the space was thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook meals, and the large refrigerator, washer, and dryer were a huge help for a ski trip. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after long days on the slopes. The ground-floor kitchenette was a great bonus, and the hosts were very accommodating, even providing baby cots for us. Dominique and her husband were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, speaking excellent English and making us feel right at home. The views from the chalet were absolutely stunning, and its location was perfect—just a short 10-minute drive to Les Houches and around 15 minutes to Chamonix. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend!

Wij hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in de chalet van Cara. Alle voorzieningen zijn beschikbaar, uiterst rustig, prachtig zicht. Ook een zeer goed werkende sauna! Met een gewone wagen of SUV geraakt je zeker niet naar boven (in de zomer), en ja het is een pittige (echter niet erg lange) klim naar de chalet, maar het is het echt waard!!

Séjour très agréable pour les adultes et encore plus, pour les enfants. L’espace autour du chalet est exceptionnel : calme ( au bout d’une impasse) , sécurisé, vert. Les enfants ont découvert plein de jeux ( trampoline, voitures à pédales par exemple) auxquels ils ne s’attendaient pas et en ont largement profité. Les meubles de jardin ont été spécialement apprécié par les adultes pour prendre l’apéro.

Beautiful views over looking the lake and the mountains. The hike up to the place is totally worth it and Gerard was a star for bringing the quad bike and transporting the luggage up.

Un séjour parfait, au calme, au pied du lac. Le cadre est magnifique et le logement est super. Très agréable. Albane est très réactive et disponible. Je garde le lieu en mémoire pour y revenir !

Nous sommes venus passer en famille quelques jours pour le week de l’ascension et la Maxi race. Nous avons eu tout le confort dans le confortable chalet de Marie et Rodolphe situé dans un cadre magnifique à Doussard. Notre 4eme fous dans des chalets de ce camping et cela est tjs super agréable. Merci à Marie et Rodolphe pour les instructions claires et leur réactivité. Nicolas

Très bon séjour dans un petit mazot savoyard, environnement très paisible et très beau avec une vue magnifique, de belles promenades à proximité. Tout le nécessaire pour 2 personnes, avec petit balcon et table dans le jardin. Nous recommandons !

Aboslutely the best location in the area. The view from all rooms is exceptional. I would not hesitate to book this property again. There is one thing of note, and this was not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. The house is a duplex. The large deck in front connects to the ajoining unit. It is owned by the same (very friendly) family. I hope to return to this wonderful place again soon.

Très bel environnement, entre le lac et un vraiment beau massif. Le chalet dispose d'un beau terrain, vaste, très agréable par beau temps. Quant au chalet en lui même, pas de surprise par rapport à l'annonce, si ce n'est que la chambre avec les 2 lits simples ne dispose pas de porte pleine. Elle est séparée du couloir par des battants, l'encadrement étant trop étroit pour y installer une porte. Cela ne nous a pas gêné, mais nous a surpris.
