Very cozy cabin. Has everything you could need, all what you have to bring is your clothings. We even had the chance to taste their homemade maple syrup! Close enough to Bancroft but still tranquil, nobody can access the cabin but you. We saw people stopping by on the otherside of the lake but it feels OK and not invading, it is far enough to not care. Wildlife was abundant. We did not have much mosquitoes or annoying bugs outside and literally none inside. We went there as a couple with a dog and, once used to the space the cabin offers, did not feel squeezed, although it is not huge. Hosts were very kind and responsive. If you like small, serene and cozy places, this is a must try.

I had a fantastic stay at Sam and Rev’s place! The cottage was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The kitchen was also very well equipped :). Communication with Sam/ Rev was smooth and easy, and they were very responsive and helpful throughout the stay. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a getaway from the city and would happily stay again. Thanks again!

We happened to come during mayfly season, so there were tons of them outside and we couldn’t have a campfire at night, which was a bit disappointing. But the host was super kind and helpful, and the place had everything we needed. During the day, we still got to go boating and had a nice BBQ, and spent three amazing nights indoors. Thanks again for the lovely stay!

(This review was written by my wife, Tami) As we drove up the secluded lane that led into the enchanted forest we knew that we had found a gem.The cottage was charming & spotless with a huge deck that set high up in the trees. The sauna & hot tub provided pure relaxation at the end of our days. The dock was huge with comfortable seating, we even had 2 loons gliding by each day! We hiked to waterfalls, fished & took the canoe for a paddle. Our pups loved our daily adventures! Mark was the perfect host & easy to contact if needed. I would give his place 10 stars if I could😊 Tami, Rick (Hazel & Deuce 🐶🐶)
