Countryside Retreat: Chef's Kitchen So Many Stars!

MelRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had such a wonderful weekend. So close to the Sheep Rock Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds and we enjoyed an easy day trip to the Painted Hills as well. Great bird watching from the deck. If you’re looking for a quiet get away, this is the place. The home was well equipped with the essentials and the homeowner was quick to answer questions.

Vintage Ochoco Camper

KaiRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great stay! I’d think of it as a glamping experience. Camper had electricity and a space heater, and an outhouse was nearby. Surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Saw a small herd of deer and the owner has horses and goats! Plenty of good trees to set up a hammock. Nice dark sky for star gazing.

Little place by the River

JohnRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Lovely little apartment a few steps from the John Day river. Is 1/2 of duplex and occupant on the other side was quiet and invisible. Mattress was great and everything was clean and new. We were in town for two days and originally booked a hotel. This place was roomier then a hotel room and much less expensive.

This adorable guest house will bring you back to visiting the home of a beloved grandparent or aunt. Its super cute! Made a very comfortable stay for my family of 3 when we were in town for the rodeo. The farm kittens were a fun bonus!

Garden Cottage

LeslieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I am an oversized load pilot, and I was passing through for the night. i have horses of my own, so staying on a horse ranch was perfect. I arrived in prineville at 11 am. I'd been on the road since 1 am. It was 94 degrees and there is no shade in Prineville. I travel with my cowboy corgi. We were both hot and extremely tired. Check in was not until 4. Sharon was at work and so that there were a few things that needed to be done at the cabin before I could check in. She was wonderful and called her husband and he took care of what needed to be done. So I could check in early. The cabin is so cute and very comfortable. Extremely quiet and love the horses being right next to cabin. My corgi had room to run and play. The solar shower outside. I wasn't sure about. You gotta try it. It's wonderful, especially underneath the night sky. Will definitely stay again when I'm in Prineville.

Pony Express Suites #1

RobinRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The Pony Express was very peaceful, with available books and board games. The town is very small, with the cafe and coffee place across the street up for sale and closed- but locals were very friendly and directed me to a great little cafe a few blocks over. Cindy helped me enter on arrival- I have a visual impairment that made the key code difficult. She was right there and made it easy. After reports about noisy hotel rooms and uncomfortable beds from others at a nearby private conference, I felt spoiled by the quiet and comfortable accommodations. Beds and linens were exceptional!
