A unique experience, staying in a real original shipping container called RiverDream, right on the Lek River. Bicycles are already available to help. Along meadows with knotwills you drive into a cozy village. At the church, you take a dead end. Soon you will reach a black cottage surrounded by greenery; our guest house 'De Hooischuur’. When entering the detached cottage, it immediately feels like coming home. And that is exactly the feeling we would like to give you. Our characteristic hay barn in 2018 is equipped with many comforts and gives you the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The old wagon barn on the river Lek.

This beautiful cottage used to be a 100-year-old wagon barn, of which old beams have remained in sight as much as possible. The cottage is in the yard of our 400-year-old monumental stool farmhouse, where we live with our sheep, chickens and dog. The cottage features a private outdoor seating area. Opposite the farm are the floodplains of the river Lek with the many nice little beaches. And a stone's throw away is the cozy silver town of Schoonhoven.
