Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Monroe County

My family and I loved the place, it’s big and very well maintained. We liked the area too, it’s so close to the lake, the house was very clean and organized and has a lot of tv’s, the beds are very comfortable, our favorite area of the house was the second floor porch it has a nice view of the lake. We definitely will be renting it again in the future. Kimberly was very friendly and helpful.

Nick is so responsive! He made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our time there. We were there during a quiet week and it was lovely! Thanks Nick and Jerry!!!

The home is set in a farm valley and it's very quiet and peaceful with cattle grazing all around for a very cool setting. The house is huge and there are so many places to for a large number of guests to sleep. Bedrooms are quiet and comfortable and the wide openness of the downstairs area made it easy for everyone to relax and have space and fun. We would absolutely stay here again if in the area.

Great stay for me and my family. We hunt over at Fort Mccoy and this was perfect distance for us. Robert was responsive whenever we needed anything and enjoyed the peaceful property. Will stay again if open next year!

My group of six adults had a wonderful 3 day weekend staying at Kyle’s place. Plenty of room for all of us and then some. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated having a dishwasher and laundry available. We enjoyed having a fire in the large outback fire pit. We did our annual canoeing trip down the Kickapoo River. Recommend checking out Ontario, Hillsboro and Viroqua. Thanks for a great place to stay Kyle!! :o)

The house was super clean and had everything we needed. The view was beautiful, the lake was super peaceful. We had a great girls weekend.

The house was fantastic! The kitchen was fully equipped, and we loved having games for relaxing in the evenings. It comfortably accommodated all eight of us, with plenty of space so we never felt crowded. The yard was a real highlight—perfect for enjoying coffee and birdwatching each morning. Plus, Wildcat Mountain State Park is just a 15 minute drive away, and I highly recommend checking out Franklin Coffee House in Sparta!

We had a great stay. The big jacuzzi tub was wonderful after a long day of cycling. Larry was kind enough to give us a short tour of his business which we found fascinating. We would stay here again without hesitation.

The place is small and perfect for one to two people. close places near by to eat, or to have a drink. It was clean and very well taken care of. The host is quick to answer questions, or if any help was needed they are quick to help. amazing stay!

I am a vendor at the Cranberry Festival every year, and this was the first time I was able to stay so close without paying an arm and a leg. The apartment was exactly as described, and Chris was very responsive to my questions. Thanks for a great stay!

Had a great time staying at Jo's place. I would wake up and the horses would be outside to greet me. All the amenities are provided for cooking and bathing. Soaps, assorted teas, and honey. I liked meditating, reading, and running on the trails nearby to the Elroy-Sparta train tunnel! It's closed in winter but still a sight to behold! LaCrosse was also a nice day trip. I missed out on the snow. I bet it would have been magnificent. I still had a nice time with nature. The place can get pretty warm, but Jo also helped me get a space radiator for some extra heat to get extra comfy. The bed was also magnificent. All in all, I would recommend.

We were in a bind for accommodations after our daughter qualified for the Sate track meet in La Crosse. We could have been more pleased with our stay and actually found it to be a nice perk to be a bit out of town to avoid some of the chaos!
